Thread: Hybrid- Reboot Version.

    Default Hybrid- Reboot Version.

So about two years ago I started to write this story named Hybrid that spammed 13 pages. But now I wish that story would be more shyntesized so I decided to reboot the whole thing.

I don't think anyone would bother since I am doing this for myself anyway.

Let's see if I can manage to end this faster.

    Prologue part 1.

    Hidden:

It was a twilight sky above the land. Dusk had just started and another day was ending. In a forest in the mountains filled with pine trees, a young boy around 12 years old with a short brown hair with a forelock is laying on the grass looking at the sky as the first star appears.

    "Oh boy, it's getting late."

He stands up and looks around.

"Dad is coming hime soon so I better find something for him."

After looking around in the mountain he finds a big blue frog with horns next to a pond.

"Blue Bull Frog? Nah. Mom said it that you shouldn't harm them. They probably don't taste great."

He hears the sound of something moving around the bushes and it was a boar.

    "Oh. Hellooooo dinner."

But a white lioness emmiting sparks through it's body appears and kills it, fast like a lightning bolt.

"Hey! Hay! That's mine! I saw it first!"

The animal looks at him without caring for what or who he was and leaves.

"Yeah, that's right! Next time I will catch all the river trouts so you can have nothing of them!"

After a while he manages to find another boar, but that one was smaller. He killed it by stabbing with a branch of a tree like if it was a spear and wrapped in a rope.

"Stupid Thunderlions, always getting the fatter ones...."

He walked home grumbling about Thunderlions he looks at the horizon and see the sea and his coast town of Mians as the sun is almost set. The blue light of the night and the yellow night of the day were in perfect harmony as the stars were decorating the sky with their blight.

"What perfection. It almost like a painting...Well, that's enough for a day so let's-"

Then he is ambushed from behing by someone. It was a child about his age that leaped on his back and bit his neck. He was tackled and knocked down to the ground but his reaction was calm but confused.

"...Did someone just bit my neck?" He thought to himself as that situation was sudden and confusing.

"....Oh man. I did it again!" The figure spoken with a feminine voice.

"What did you do again?" He responded with curiosity.

"Well you see....Huh?!" Surprised by the boy's response, the figure is astonished. The boy them looked behind and he saw a girl with a long fluffy hair with a frivalous black dress. Her hair was dark purple like a twilight sky. Her eyes were crimsom red and she had two visible fangs.

"W-Why aren't you dead?!" She responded in fear.

"I don't know. Why should I be dead."

"Because I sucked all your blood. That's why!" She responded with anger.

"I guess you didn't sucked all of it."

    "But that only means....Eeeek!"

The girl started to curl in a ball and covers his eyes.

"Please don't kill me...I didn't knew you were a Werewolf! Corvus! Wagner! Help!"

    "....No I'm not."

    "You're....not?"

The boy extended his hand to the girl.

"Can you extend. I wouldn't harm you."

    "You won't?"

"Sure. After all I don't think I can do much against a vampire."

Without a second thought the girl picked his hand and he helped her. She then averted her eyes and blushed.

    "T-Thanks."

    "What's the matter?"

"It just...It's the first time someone offered to help me by extending a hand. It's kinda embarassing."

"Well, usually no one would offer a hand to a vampire, but I am not usual."

"I can see that. You aren't human are you?"

    "...Not quite."

He then showed her his right eye. It was red just like her's.

"Your eye....Are you by any chance...A Hybrid?!" She responded with awe.

"Yeah. My mother was a vampire like you."

"I-I don't believe it. It's my first time seeing one."

"...You don't hate me, do you?"

"W-Well...I just met you and all that so...I still need to judge properly."

"Good. I was afraid you would try to kill me at the first time you confirmed it."

"I think some would do that. Yes."

"By the way, I'm Johnnathan. Johnnathan Highlander."

    "...Evelyne Lecardre."

    "Okay then. Bye."

    Johnnathan resumed his way home.

    "W-Wait!"

    Evelyne grabbed his arm.

    "Huh? What now?"

"Will you just leave like this? Aren't you worried that I might tell someone about you?"

"That's a good point. But I don't think there is much I can do about it."

"...So how about this. You don't tell anyone about me and I don't tell anyone about you. How does that sound?"

" Sure. Why not? I mean, we are just one Hybrid and a Vampire anyway."

"Great. I am more comfortable that way....Well....Bye!"

She transformed into a bat and flied away.

"And there she goes.....She was very cute."

Johnnathan then walks away with the boar.

"....Oh shit. Should had fished a trout."

    Prologue part 2.
    Hidden:

The next day. It was not a day too much different for young Johnnathan. His father went to work as usual just before noon. He went to the forest in the mountains again. Those mountains were like the garden of his house. He knew every corner, every tree, every cave. He ventured through the mountains for most of his life. But today he somehow felt curious about what would happen on his stoll across the mountains today. It was in the middle of afternoon and as usual the sky was filled with mist that came from the north where the sun didn't shined as much as it does. It gave the enviroment somehow a balance of light and darkness.

"....The same mountains as always." He talked to himself as he looked around.

He eventually arrived at a pond around some trees. He hoped there would be a game to catch, but it was empty.

    "Nothing, huh?"

He closed his eyes and thought of the unusual event that happened yesterday.

"Urgh. Wake up Johnnathan. She will not appear again." He murmured to himself.

When he turned back he heard the sounds of steps on leaves.

"Steps? Who would be all the way here? It's one surprise after another."

He turned away and followed the sound.

"Come to think of it, those steps are so weird. Almost like if it was...."

When he peeked behind a tree he saw Evelyne dancing around with a smile on her face.

    "...A dance."

Evelyne was dancing with a smile on her face doind spins and jumps like a ballerina. With a final jump she landed perfectly on his feet.

"And done!" She shouted to herself as Johnnathan silently watched. Shortly after she notices him close and looks at him with an embarassed expression. Johnnathan also with a similar expression turns away and slowly walks far from her as if he saw nothing of it.

"W-Wait!" Shouted Evelyne as she quickly stood in front of him.

"D-Don't walk away like you saw nothing!"

"S-Sorry. I just thought you would prefer that nodody was watching it."

"There is no way I could get comfortable after someone watched me dance."

"I see....Hey. How are you here anyway? Is still daylight."

"Uh....The fog and the mist kinda protects me from sunlight. Also I'm a higher ranking vampire."

"I should have figured it out."

"There is a lot we don't know at each other, huh?"

"We just met yesterday. If you want we can know each other better."

"Ah! No! I'm pretty sure you have better things to do."

    "No...I'm actually not."

"Weeell....I think it would be a good opportunity to know a Hybrid better."

"And I'm totally open to know anyone else better."

The two of them sat next to the pond facing the body of water. Evelyne was sitting by laying her knees on the grass like a proper lady.

"Sooo....how do we start this?" She gave the first word.

"I think it would be better if I started."

    "Well, if you insist."

"So I live here with my father. He is always travelling so I am most of the time alone."

    "That's kind of sad."

"I'm already used to it. At least he always bring me a souvenir."

    "What does he do anyway?"

    "Promise you wouldn't freak out."

    "Promise!"

"He is a Vampire Hunter working for the Empire."

    "....Thanks for the heads-up."

"You reacted better than I expected."

"But what about your mom? She is a vampire, right?"

    "Oh. She is dead."

    "...You said that so casually."

"I am often casual to crazy situations when they are used to it. Maybe it's because I am a half-breed freak."

"By the way...you don't really strike me as what I heard about Hybrids."

    "What do you mean?"

"For Vampires, a Hybrid is seen the same as the Grim Reaper itself. Most call them Anti-Vampires because of their higher ammount of Magic."

"I am like that as well."

He covers his hand with a black aura and forms a small black flame.

    "That's...Dark Magic, huh?"

    "Are you scared?"

"No. Not at all. But is there anyone else who knows about?"

"Nope. If a Vampire have that view of a Hybrid, a Human may be more hostile. In fact no one in Mians knew about my mother."

"So how did you even went outside?"

"First, me and my father live on a big house right here in the mountains. It's only a few dozen meters from the town. And also everytime we go to town, I wear a Mirage Ring."

"A Mirage Ring? Those are pretty rare."

"My father has connections. And mine is pretty cheap. It only change my eye colour. My mother had to use a more advanced one. And she couldn't leave at very sunny days as well."

    "What was her rank anyway?"

"She was Higher. In fact, she was a Red Sword."

"A Red Sword?! Are you sure you should been telling me this?!"

"You said you wouldn't tell anyone about me, right?"

"Yeah, I said that. But a Red Sword....That's the Elite of the Vampire kin that only allows 10 of them enter. What was her name?"

"Ruby Scarlet. And she was quite the monster when she acted the responsible mother. Haha!"

"I feel I heard this name somewhere."

"I also have an older brother. His name is Drake."

"Oh. And he is not living with you."

"Yeah. He went to adventure the world 2 years ago. He was sixteen at the time so my dad allowed it. What he didn't knew is that he would become a pirate. Man he was pissed."

"A pirate named Drake....Isn't him the Black Demon?!"

"Oh. That's what his wanted poster said it."

"You are the Black Demon's brother...Now you actually look more scary. He once took down a Higher Vampire one of these days."

"Well, he took that after dad. I wouldn't be surprised if he would take on the Vampire King itself."

"I can confirm whatever rumour you heard of my father is true. He will certainly have a bad time even if he was a Hybrid."

    "...Did you say Father?"

    "Yeah, what about it?"

"You are the Vampire King's daughter?! Now you are the one scarier between us two!"

"Huh?! I thought you figured out when I said my surname was Lecardre. My father's full name is Vladmir Lecardre you know.

"That's the thing. Most people refer to him only as Vampire King."

"Oh. I forgot this detail. And here I thought you didn't minded that I was his daughter yesterday."

"N-No. I still see you as the same girl that attacked me from behind yesterday. Don't worry."

    "That's....kind of a relief."

"Anyway....what does the Vampire Princess and daughter of one of the 3 Dark Lords doing here anyway?"

"You see...My brother is planning some personal stuff and he made me and my siblings do some errands. I am here to collect some mushrooms by the way. I don't know what they are for. Besides I'm no big deal. I am actually the Second Princess and the Seventh Child of his anyway."

    "Seventh?"

"Yeah. I have six older siblings and a younger brother, making us eight altogether."

"W-Wow. I always thought you vampires had a hard time to reproduce in the normal way. It is uncommon for a vampire woman to give more than two children."

"Maybe it's the fact my father used to have four wives."

    "Used?"

"Yeah. You might don't know, but some Werewolves once attacked Hollowgrounds out of nowhere. My mother and all the others except for the first wife died on it."

    "Damn! How long was that?"

"4 years ago. I never get how they arrived on a foggy island filled with vampires, but...It's all in the past now."

"That is certainly not like anything I ever heard about it."

"At least Queen Topazia, the first wife, is a surprisingly kind mother to all of us even if we do not share the same blood. Strangely enough she was not like that at all before that day. Maybe she took pity on all of us to have lose our mothers. She is still a bit hard on Corvus, but it's just because he is a troublemaker."

    "Corvus?"

"That's my elder brother. He is the First Prince and the next in line to the throne. He certainly don't act like one. He is a rebel that always break the rules. I never will know what happens inside that head of his."

"Sounds like a pain in the ass."

"That's about right. But that's part of his charismatic attitude. No matter what, me and my siblings all admire him in a way. In fact, a handful of vampires are more supportive of him than father. But honestly, between the two of them, none of them is better than my big brother."

    "Which one?"

"The one that is also son of my mother, Wagner. All the ladies dreams of become his bride someday. Surely the most popular man in Hollowgrounds to the point that they wish he becomes King instead of Corvus. And he is only the Third Prince."

"So there is another one older than him?"

    "Yes. Magnus, the Deathbringer."

"What the bloody hell is that super cheesy epithet?"

"It gives him no justice. That guy is big as those moutains. He could tear like a bear in half with those arms of his."

"Come to think of it I had heard stories of a walking boulder fighting alongside the vampires."

"Those three were know for fighting in the Crusades. Corvus was in all of them actually."

    "Only those three?"

"Yes. I do have two other older brothers. Specter, the Second Prince and Lex, the Fourth Prince. Specter is Corvus' blood brother while Lex is Magnus's. The former is more like a scholar than a fighter while the other never had the chance of fighting despite being very violent."

"So vampires have those kind as well."

"And lastly, there is the First Princess and the fourth of father's children, Carol. She is a scary woman but she can very nice. She helps me get dressed, brush my hair and all that sister stuff. And now there her younger brother, Miller, who is also my younger brother so I try to do my best as an older sister since we are kind of similar.

    "How similar."

"You see, like me he also has those impulses of attacking without thinking like yesterday."

    "Oh....I see."

"It's kind of a bother. Vampires have to do those kind of things with discretion."

"Speaking of which, aren't you thirsty? You can take a bite if you want?"

    "Huh? N-N-No! I could never!"

    "Ah come on..."

He the offers his arm to her.

"You can bite from here. I have been doing this for my mother when she was alive."

    "Oh...If you say so.."

She then picks his arm and bites right where the vein was exposed. Johnnathan seemed to be unharmed by that.

    "Hmmm....Your blood is delicious, Johnnathan."

"You can call me Johnny for short."

"Then call me Eve. That's how my siblings call me."

    "Alright, Eve."

Shortly after, Evelyne finishes sucking his arm.

"Wow....This blood has a strong flavor that I almost feel dizzy."

"We kind have this effect on vampires."

"I guess...people like you could bring more good than harm for me."

"My mother always said to be nice to girls."

"Heehee. Mine said to be thankful when a gentleman is being nice to me."

    "Ribit!"

A Blue Bull Frog appears from the pond.

"Ah! Blue Bull Frog!" She shouted in happiness as she catched and started to pet it.

"You like those kind of animals?"

"Uh-huh! I used to have a frog as a pet. Well, actually it was my brother's but he letted me take care of it. He never told me what happened to it."

"Yeah. Bastard said it to me he ran away, but...I can't believe in everything he says." Said an unknown voice from behind them.

"Huh? C-Corvus!" Shouted Evelyne as she turned back and say a vampire with a jet-black jacket spotting a dark gray hair that was spiked from behind but with maroon bangs on the front.

"Now what a surprise..." Said Corvus when he holded Johnnathan by the neck.

    "Urgh!"

    "J-Johnny!" Screamed Evelyne.

"So your name Johnny? May I call you Johnny-Boy? How is that my sister didn't killed you already?"

"Stop Corvus. He is not a snack! We were becoming friends!"

    "Friends? With a human?"

"I..I..." Johnnathan was struggling to talk.

    "Huh? What is it, kid?"

    "I'm...Not really human..."

    "What?"

Raven then looked at Johnnathan's eyes and spotted the unusual red eye.

    "Oh...I see....Interesting."

He then released Johnnathan from his clutches.

    "Hahaha! Sorry about that kid."

Corvus pat his head with a smirk on his face. Angrily, Johnnathan slaps his hand away,

    "You're an asshole."

    "Ack! Johnny, you shouldn't-"

"Nah. That's okay. I'll take as an compliment." Said Corvus with a devilish smile.

"You weren't around so I came to look after you. I mean it would be real bad if Father got suspicious."

"I'm sorry." Said an apologetic Evelyne. "I'll be back as soon as possible."

"No, that's okay." Said Corvus. "I'll cover for you. After all you aren't too far away from Hollowgrounds. Besides Father is still sleeping. See you soon!"

He turns into a bat and flied to the north.

"Well, that was close." Said Evelyne.

"I still do not like him." Said Johnnathan.

"Anyway Johnny....Thanks for everything. It's not everytime I make a new friend."

"The pleasure was all mine. Eve, your attitude gives me a lot of inspiration."

"Heehee. Now you are being lame."

"Hey! Do you wanna try to steal some Dodiche's eggs? It would be great!

"That sounds dangerous and not responsible at all....I'm in!"

    Default Re: Hybrid- Reboot Version.

    Prologue part 3.
    Hidden:

North of Mians, way across the sea there was an island always surrounded by fog, hidden from the eyes of the world. In that island there was a forest where the trees had an unusual shade of dark in their green leaves. And on the center of that forest was what could be called the most sad and miserable place of all the world, Hollowgrounds.

Hollowgrounds was a city like many others. Houses like many others, streets like many others, but except there was a very thick and fortified wall surrounding it like if it was a prison. In the center of the city there was a large spooky castle. That castle was only the tip of the iceberg because deep down an entire citadel was located. Several towers annexed to the castle's base. Ironically that's where the vampires of higher ranks where located it. The lower and most common ones lived as sentinels inside the walls that surrounded the city.

The humans living in the city where either kidnapped living there against their will or either descedants from previous kidnappeds from the past. They were all slaves to satisfy their master's thirst. If was certainly the closest place to be called a Hell.

A single bat approached the castle and entered an open window. That bat turned into Evelyne and in the room she arrived there was nothing much, but only an empty coffin, a table and two chairs. It was her room.

"No one here. Good." Said Evelyne to herself.

She gently opened her door and peeked around the hallway.

"No one is around here too."

She left her room and gave it a few steps out.

    "Hello, Evelyne."

A intimidating man with a long black hair dressed in dark noble clothes suddenly appears behind her.

    "F-Father!"

He puts his hand above her head and lifts her whole body with it.

"I'll cut the chase here. I decided to came check you earlier because suddenly I noticed something different on you."

    "Whatever you mean?"

He passes his other hand around her hair and finds a feather sticked on her.

    "Let's see....Dodiche. Black and White plumes...From Mians...."

    "I-I can explain..."

"Let me explain Father." Said Corvus who just put his hand over his father's right shoulder.

"I wanted Eve to do a little errand for me over that place. And as a the good girl she is, she couldn't just say no. You understand, right?"

Vladmir deeply gazed into Corvus' eyes.

"...You sent your twelve-years old sister all the way to Mians in the territory of the Blitzreign Empire for an errand?"

"...Does that sounds too unlike me?"

    "...No. It doesn't."

    He gently puts down Evelyne.

"By the way." Said Corvus. "Did you see Wagner? I need him to do an errand to me now."

"...He is on the city. Checking on the tributes." Said Vladmir as he starts leavign the scene.

"And Corvus....Don't ever sneak behind me again." Said Vladmir as he disappears as a bat.

    "Thanks, Corvus." Said Evelyne.

"I just hope you had fun. If it's nothing much could you meet me at that spot in the Dark Forest?"

"Sure Corvus! I owe you that least."

"Thanks." Corvus leaves the castle as a bat.

On the city's streets, a vampire with short black hair and an attractive face alongside three other vampires was checking on a group of humans in front of him with a chart on his hand.

    "....Pass....Pass....Pass...."

For a while he stops checking it and looks at them.

    "....Tribute."

He disappears in plain sight and re-appears behind a woman in the middle of them and knocks her out with a strike in the neck. The humans get frenzied by that act but they still remain intact. After a whole check-up he knocks out another one, this time a man.

"Take the female to Nicodemos Tower and the male to the Castle. Everyone else is free to go!" Said him after handing over the chart to one of the vampires as they carry the unconscious humans.

From a distance, a single female vampire with a short orange hair covering her head with a red hood watches him with a letter covered in a bloodstain. He is facing his back to her but he notices her.

"I can smell the blood in that letter. Come on, you are a Higher Vampire. You can do it just like all the others." He murmured to himself.

Then the woman advanced towards him.

    "W-Wagner?"

After hearing her say his name, he turns back and faces her.

    "I would like....to give this-"

    "Hiyaa!"

Another vampire woman appears and delivers a dropkick right into her face sending her away into a wall and later grabs her collar.

"Back off of him you vixen! He is mine!" Screamed the attacking vampire.

"Bring it on, bitch! Bring it on!" Shouted back the assaulted vampire as she pushed back away her assaulter and the two of them started to wrestle and maul each other.

Wagner just standed there and watched uninterested as if it was nothing special. The other vampires starts to notice the ruckus.

"Oh, jeez." Sighed one of them. "It's a Beta-8-Z, folks! Bring reinforcements!"

"Well, hello there little brother." Said Corvus that just appeared next to him. "Is that another Beta-8-Z again? Is it like the third time this month?"

    "....Fourth." Said Wagner.

"Hahahaha! And people say I make trouble. Anyway could you bring the rest of our siblings to that place in the Dark Forest?"

"Sure, twist my arm. I am done it here."

Wagner looks at the two humans being taken away by the vampires.

"Tributes, huh?" Said Corvus as he puts his arms around Wagner's shoulders. "We start bleeding them at the age of 8. And when they reach 38, we execute them. Of course we don't let them know that. Ahaha."

    Wagner just silent watches it.

"...Gosh. Bring me a smile or something." Said Corvus as he turns away.

"You have been doing this job quite a lot don't you? It's take quite the determination to do a job no one wants to. Or is there is another motive for it?" Said Corvus as Wagner stills remains silent.

"...Heh. I don't care anyway." Said Corvus as he turns into a bat and flies to the forest.

Later on at an unespecified point in the forest, Corvus was sitting over a rock next to a bonfire. Shortly after he arrived, another vampire with glasses spotting a short shaggy straight hair approaches him.

"You really don't waste time don't you?" Said the guest while he was adjusting his glasses. "I was expecting to be the first to arrive, but I didn't discard this possibility. Not that it matters since the others haven't arrived yet."

"You reaaaally like to talk don't you, Specter." Said Raven.

"I was merely pointing that you should manage your free time better."

"I can say the same for you. You barely get out of the castle."

"Unlike you, I do real progress with my time. In fact, I even speed up the process."

A really large vampire with long white hair with a small one in his shoulders with a short black hair whose bangs covered his eyes drinking blood from a small bottle appears behind Specter.

"Oh. You brought Magnus and Miller. Great. This will like speed up in like 50 percent or something." Said Corvus on a sarcastic tone.

"We're here." Wagner appeared alongside Evelyne and two others. A vampire woman with a short green hair and a male vampire with a short silver hair.

"Well met, Wagner. And you found Carol and Lex. Though I would expected you to be a little faster." Said Corvus.

"That's because Lex refused to follow anyone besides you, Corvus." Said Wagner.

"Hey! You don't need to mention that!" Said Lex angrily.

"Gosh! Just know your place as our inferior, little brother." Said a smug Carol.

"Do you wanna die or something?!" Shouted Lex.

"We all know you can't kill me." Said Carol.

"Enough you two!" Shouted Wagner and the two standed still.

"Alright, alright. Now that the smoke has lifted how about you all take a seat...figuratively." Said Corvus as each of they sitted around the bonfire. Carol then looked at Evelyne's hair and got shocked.

"Ah! Eve! Your hair....There are at least 30 strings missed from it. What happened!" Shouted Carol as she went closer to her sister and examined her closer.

"I-Is that such a big of a deal?" Said Evelyne.

"Of course it is! A woman should always take good care of her hair!" Said Carol.

"Oh, I see. Just because you never had such a long and beautiful hair, you just wanna steal with from your own little sister, huh?" Said Lex.

"I would never! That's it you are on my next-to-do list!" Shouted Carol at Lex.

"Can we talk about a subject better than our little sister's hair that by the way it's really cute, darling? You know....Me." Said Corvus.

"...I can't refuse that." Said Carol.

"Very well. You see...I wanna kill our father. Who is with me?" Said Corvus. The rest of his siblings just stared at him in silence.

"....What? Do you folks hate me so much?" Said Raven.

"No. In fact if you wanna help me fight someone I'm in." Affirmed Lex.

"Wow! You really are an idiot, huh? It's fitting of you to try to fight a battle you can't win." Said Carol.

"It's only natural. Unlike the rest of us he was born as a Lower Vampire. Evelyne and Miller shows much bigger progress compared to him when he was on their ages." Said Wagner.

"You...Bastard!" Screamed Lex as he jumped straight at Wagner with his sword in hand. Wagner remained calm and Magnus knocked Lex down to the ground with his bare hands. Carol laughed at his fallen brother.

"Corvus." Said Wagner looking at Corvus' eyes. "This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think it's correct for a child to raise a sword against his own father. But considering the father in question is Father...I can support you on whatever you are planning as long as I am not the one who is gonna kill him."

"Well, after hearing that, I don't see why not join the fray." Confirmed Carol.

"Buuut...Can you really do Corvus?" Said a concerned Evelyne.

"Weell....Care to explain Specter?" Said Corvus.

"Allow me." Said Specter. "But before all else, let me ask something to Wagner. Let's say that the eight of us would face our father and his vampire army? Can we win?"

"...Of course not." Said Wagner. "Corvus may be able to best Father in a fair fight, but he could only guarantee a certain victory if Magnus would assist him. In other words that leaves Me, Carol, Lex and you against the rest of the vampires. And of course I do not approve of Eve and Miller being part of this."

"Then why the hell did you agreed on this, asshole?" Said Lex.

"Because I was hoping that they might have sort of plan...Like a trump card." Said Wagner.

"As a matter of fact I do." Said Specter. "What if I said that I found a way to not only boost our strenght from one day to the other, but also give a significant adavantage over the enemy?"

"Then in theory it could work." Said Wagner. "It takes quite the time to a vampire to grow stronger than they currently are. It would take Corvus about another 100 years to surpass father as he currently is, but I cannot say the same to father after a century. But if the gap would be filled that fast then it would certainly give us victory."

"Kehehehe...You two are totally stealing my spotlight, you know that?" Said Corvus.

"I don't really know the details, but....You are planning to make us stronger, right?" Said Lex.

"...That's precisely what I have in mind, yes." Said Specter. "Specifically speaking, it would turn you mightier than a Higher Vampire, Lex."

    "Really? Awesome!"

"Ugh. You being hyped by such a petty thing? Disgusting." Said Carol.

"It doesn't seem to be a petty subjective, Carol." Affirmed Evelyne.

"Hah! Even Eve is on my side now!"

"Do you guys remember the items I asked you to retrieve for us?" Said Specter. "Those will all play a big part on the schemes."

"Oh. Those. Why did you needed a Salamander's Gut anyway? Those were a pain in the butt." Said Carol.

"Too much complex to explain. All I can say is that it will be ready in....4 days." Said Specter.

"Well, 4 days it is! Any more questions?" Said Corvus.

"....Can I go home now? I'm thirsty." Said Miller.

"Miller, you are always thirsty." Said Carol.

"I guess that settles it. Everyone, fly away!" Said Corvus who just turned into a bat and left the forest alongside his other siblings except for Wagner and Evelyne.

    "Something the matter, Eve?"

"It just....all this sounds too much for me."

"Don't worry." Said Wagner putting his hand over her head.

"Just leave to your older siblings. All you have to do is look after your little brother."

    "....Wagner."

    "Yes?"

"Honestly, I would rather fight alongside you all than have to look after Miller all day."

"Oh....Well then. Just try to remain close to me or Carol then."

    Prologue part 4.

    Hidden:

Another morning rose on Mians as the sun shined the sky and the waters. Mians was the location that was the closest to the sea in the Blitzreign Empire. Shipping goods was the main focus of work in the area as well as receiving goods from other places across the globe. And behind the town there were the mountains where a single large house could be seen from a distance. It was the Highlander House and Johnnathan's home. His room was at the second floor of the house right next to his father's room and right in front of where it used to be his brother's room.

Johnnathan woke up at the usual time. The sunlight hit his face and he slowly opened his eyes. He got of his bed, stretched his arms and changed his clothes. He went down to the kitchen and picked a milk galloon and drank straight from it. He saw from the window in the kitchen and saw a man swinging a crimson scythe around.

"Hmm....Father's at it again." Said Johnnathan to himself as he putted down the mik and started making a cup of coffee.

Meanwhile in the lawn, Johnnathan's father, Alex Highlander, finished swinging his scythe around. He tired himself and was breathing hard.

"Huff...Huff....That's enough." Said Alex while dropping his scythe and brushing his face with a towel. He turned back and saw Johnnathan sitting on the slope with a cup of coffee in his hand and he points at a cup sitting next to him. Alex goes there and picks the coffee, sitting next to him.

    "Thanks, son." Said Alex.

"It's probably tasting bad so don't go thanking me yet."

    "Bah! Nonsense."

He takes a sip of the coffee.

    "...Yeah. Tastes bad." Said Alex.

    "Told you so."

"At least you can't be worse than your mother. She always would put a whole cup of sugar on it. Heh. She was adorable."

"Never trust your coffee to a vampire. Even if they are your spouse."

Then Alex notices something on Johnnathan's clothes.

"What is this?" Said Alex as he picked a hair string from Johnnathan's shirt.

"Is this a string of hair?"

    "Ah! T-That's..."

"If it is then it's the prettiest one I see. It's so shiny and colorful. Whonever you took this might use a lot of shampoo like a girl or something...Oh....Ohohoho! Are youngsters nowadays meeting in secret in the woods this soon? Gosh, times are changing. I never knew you were the flirting time."

    "It's not like that!"

"Come on, tell your old man! I bet it's Elma's granddaughter. You may don't know, but everytime we go to her shop, she looks at you when you aren't facing her and never stops staring until you leave. Who knew you two would hook it up together?"

"Okay, first that is creepy and I would rather not knowing about that and second I am not seeing any girl from Mians, okay?!"

"Oh. Does that implies it's a girl NOT from Mians?"

"W-Well...I mean...What I wanted to say is....Ark! I give! Yeah! I'm seeing a girl! But we are just friends, okay?

    "Hmmmm....How does she look like?"

    "She....Is beautiful...Like a butterfly made of amethyst."

"...Did you just heard what you said it? It's almost like you were talking about a Goddess. I'll be damned. My little beast is in love."

"I just find her cute, okay? It's not like anything will happen between us."

"Yeah. I didn't think something would happen between me and your mother, but look where I am now. Talking to my Human-Vampire-Hybrid son talking like an everyday twelve-year old would talk to his pops. But what I am most curious is where did this damsel came from. The closest city from Mians is the very own capital, Nova. And that's like kilometers from here. And even she came from one of those nearby farms....What is her name anyway?"

    "Eve."

"Oh. I see. Diminutive for Evelyne or something. Can I meet her?"

"N-No! She is...Shy. Like veeeery shy"

"Nothing screams of pure young love louder than a shy cute girl. I wish I had your kind of experience, son. Very well, I will not meddle anymore. I don't know who is this Eve, but...she does sounds like the girl of your dreams."

"Jeez, dad. You are making me embarassed."

"Well, anyway I'm gonna do a skip to town. I'll be back in a minute."

"Uh, before that...Can I say something?"

    "Yes?"

"When I see you swinging your scythe....It always felt that it disappeared for a second. As if it just became part of your body and you sliced with an invisible blade of wind, but....Now your movements are a bit slower. Are you feeling well?"

"Humans tends to get weaker when they get into half of their lifetime. It's natural."

    "I see. Take care."

Johnnathan went inside his house and Alex went his way to the town.

"I wish you could see him now, Ruby."

Later Alex arrived on Mians and went to a Grocerry Shop where a girl with a short black hair with a bang covering her blue eyes was brushing the floor with a broom. In the balcony a elderly woman was arranging some boxes.

"Hi, Elma." Greeted Alex to the old woman.

    "Hello to you too, Alex."

"I want some tea leaves and peaches. To Johnnathan."

He hands over a few copper coins and went to pick his stuff.

"By the way, Alex. I have something for you." Said Elma.

    "What is it?" Responded Alex.

"This!" Elma put on the table a large bag of gold coins.

"Woah! That's a lot of gold pieces. Is this from the last shipping?"

"Sure. Ever since your patronage, we have been growing quite a lot. I must say it was quite generous for sharing most of your earning with us. Speaking of which, there are others who is owning you quite a bit, like my younger brother at the fishery."

"Yeah. This is quite good. Better than I expected. I guess with this, I can finally retire."

    "You? Retire?"

"Yes. I want to spend more time with my son. I can finally open that Pawn Shop I planned."

"The Red Demon actually becoming a Pawn Shop owner. Who would believe that?"

"It was suposse to happen sooner or later. To be fair...I am not so cut for hunting vampires as I was years ago."

"Does that involves those wounds you took in Ceranze you took almost 2 decades ago."

"Pretty much. I guess losing half of my stomach and a strap of my intestines does comes to bite you later in your life."

"You have the devil's own luck. But it's pretty good you plan to become closer to your son. Too bad I cannot say the same for your firstborn. Can you believe that boy?"

She picks a piece of paper and shows the drawing of a man with a short slicked back black hair. There it said "Black Demon Drake. Reward: 300 Pieces of Silver."

"Urgh. I still don't get it where I went wrong." Said Alex in a disappointing tone. "And they even call him Black Demon. It even say here he managed to kill a Higher Vampire."

"At least it's a similarity to his father."

"Now changing the subject, do you wanna hear a gossip?"

"Oooh. The Red Demon gossiping? I am interested."

    "Look at this."

He shows up the string of hair he took from Johnnathan.

"A string of hair?" Said Elma.

"My son Johnnathan...Has been seeing a girl lately."

"Grrrrr!!!" Grunted the girl cleaning the floor that overheard and grasped the broom so hard that it almost broke it.

    "Alma?" Said Elma.

"....It's nothing." She returned to clean the floor as if she did hear nothing with a gloomy expression.

"Aaaanyway, that's quite bold of gossiping about your own son." Said Elma. "Aaaah, the young scent of young love. Have I ever told what kind of beauty I was at my youth?"

"Yeah, like a thousand times." Said Alex.

"So...Who is the lucky gal? I already know it's not Alma."

    "Grrrr....." Alma grunted in silence.

"It's some girl from out of town named Eve."

"Is that a diminutive for Evelyne?"

    "Seems likely."

    "Hmm....But it is weird."

"Yeah. I mean coming all the way here for one boy?"

"No. It's just....This hair don't look normal. It's so colorful and shiny....And the smell is alos unusual...It's almost don't even human. Props to the lady who took care of it."

    "Is that so? Say Elma."

    "Yes?"

"You told me you knew about Ruby's secret after she died. And you never said anything. Why was that?"

"...You and Ruby were good people. That's all there is to it."

"I see. I guess I owe you more than I gave it, huh?"

"Oh don't sweat it. We are pretty much partners. And by the way Alex, I almost forgot it. A letter from a messenger of the empire came for you."

She gave it a letter with an imperial symbol. Alex immediately opened it.

"What does those imperial pain in the asses wants with me this time?" Said Alex as he read the letter. "...A Summit....With King Stewart of Drakland...Oh come on! Why do they need me there?!"

At the end of the afternoon, Corvus was sitting on the top of the castle looking the skies covered in the whiteness of the fog. He then looks down below to the city and see it almost devoid of people. He spot a little girl struggling to walk all far up there. Her arms were filled with holes with a bit of fresh blood leaking out of her arm.

"Might be her first time, huh?" He said it to himself. "I can't see her eyes. What sort of reflections are they showing? Fear? Sadness? Despair? Or maybe....Hate? Should I go see it for myself? No. I would scare her and the expression will go away."

"Have you even rested?" Said Specter who appeared right behind him with his arms crossed behind his back. "It's not good for your mental health for staying up so late."

"Brother....You should know I am not mentally healthy." Said Corvus with a grin on his face.

"That's exactly my point. When we begin your life-changing plan it would be ideal for you to be mentally ready."

"Give me a break will you. I went to my coffin earlier today."

"If you say that. What are you looking at anyway?"

"I was just looking how miserable and pathetic those humans down there are. How I wished they could be more than they look. I know deep inside each of them want to unleash all their hatred on us."

"In other words, you feel so much pity on them that you wish to help them, right?"

    "You could say that, yes."

"By the way, about the plan...I do have a little suggestion."

    "What is it?"

"A certain event is about to happen and I would like to take advantage of it and postpone a little bit."

    "Oh? Details."

"Blitzreign called Drakland for a summit meeting. It regards of course us."

    "A summit?"

"Yes. And as you know it will take place on neutral territory. In Zaratraz."

"...If we advance at the usual pace they would know about it, right?"

    "Probably."

"But if we start at the day of the meeting, we could went there after we finish here and....Isn't Zaratraz that place know for having a prison from people from all over the world?"

    "Pretty much."

"...This is getting interesting." Said Corvus with a devilish face.

Niight-time at Johnnathan's house, he was laying on his bed reading a book titled "Charlotte" on the cover that he seemed to be enjoying.

"Hehe....Hahahaha! He starts to laugh as he finishes the book. "Hahaha....Wow. He actually died. Sad."

He tosses the book away the landed perfectly on the bookshelf. He lays his head on the pillow and gazes on the ceiling.

"That was bittersweet at best, I guess." He said to himself. "Speaking of which, Eve didn't appeared today...Oh well."

The he hears a noise coming from his window. He went there to investigate and opens the window, but he see nothing only the mountains at night.

    "Huh. Might had heard things-"

"Yo!" Shouted Evelyne who appeared upside down right in front of him.

"Gyaaaaaaargh!" Screamed Johnnthan as he jumped backside. Evelyne then entered his room.

"So this is your room, huh?" Said Evelyne. "It certainly more lively then my own. Ahaha!"

"Johnny?" Shouted Alex outside as he knocked the door. "Is it something the matter in there?"

"N-Nothing!" Shouted Johnnathan as he picked Evelyne and kept her inside his wardrobe. "It just a mouse!

"...You are afraid of mouses now?" Said Alex.

"I thought it was a creepy bat, but everything is under control."

"Oh. Alright then. Just try to get rid of it without harming it. I have a soft spots for those little guys."

    "I'll try."

Alex went away and Johnnathan went to the wardrobe. He opens and he is greeted with a fist to the face.

    "Ouch!"

"This is for calling me a mouse and then a creepy bat!"

"Sure. Next time I say a Vampire Princess came to my room. Anyway, why are you here."

"Well, I was passing through and I thought, why don't visit my dear friend Johnnathan?"

"You were passing through? Is it another request from your crazy brother?"

"You see....I came here of my own will. I kinda been feeling very lonely as of lately."

"You have like 7 siblings and yet you are lonely. Jeez, being a vampire isn't easy, huh?"

    "It sure isn't it."

She then looks around and spots his bed.

"So Johnny....Can I rest on your bed?"

    "Fine. Be my guest."

She then sit on the bed and later she lays her whole body on it.

"Oh boy! This is so good!"

"You never layed on a bed before?"

"Nope. I only slept in a coffin up until now."

"Now that you mention it, my mother kept a coffin around here to sleep during the day. She said that you should only sleep out of a coffin with someone you trust besides you or something like that."

"I am curious about how did your mother, a Red Sword, even came across this situation."

    "It's a long story."

    "And what are those?"

    She went over the bookshelf.

    "Books?" She said.

"Yes. I spend my free time reading those when I am not strolling in the mountais."

    "But...there are so few."

"Few? I still didn't read half of them."

"Huh?! How long do you take for reading a book?"

"I don't know. An avarage one takes me a week."

"A week?! Are you illiterate or something? A book like this I read in a matter of minutes."

"Oh? Ah. I see. Yeah, my mom taught me that."

    "Taught what?"

"How to read like vampires do. Turns out with practice I can read the words at the same avarage speed if I try hard, but I do prefer to do slowly as possible."

"Sounds boring. Isn't learning more enjoyable when it is quick and efficient?"

"Huuuh...those aren't for study. They are all story books. They are for entertaining."

"Entertaining? Ah! I heard of those kind. Can I see one?"

"I don't see why not? Any interest?"

"Let's see...How about this one? Charlotte, right?"

She picked the book titled Charlotte that Johnnathan was reading before.

    "Oh. I just finished that."

    "Alright. Let's see..."

Evelyne starts to pass through all the pages by wasting no more than 3 seconds each. For reading a word and processing the information on a vampire's mind was an easy and fast feat.

"I see..." Evelyne talked to herself while concentrating on the book. "Oh....Ah....Oh my....What?...But...." She keeps murmuring to herself as she reads each page. Soon she finishes it.

    "So?" Said Johnnathan.

"...Sniff....Sniff..." Evelyne covered her eyes with her palm and she starts crying. "Booohoooooo!!!"

    "W-What's the matter?" Said Johnnathan.

"All that he wanted was for her to love him back and...She never had the courage to accept him! Like he meant nothing to her! After everythig he done! And then he commits suicide! That damn stupid Charlotte! Waaaaaa!!!"

"S-Settle down! My father is gonna hear it!"

"S-Sorry. It just....It was so unfair. I expected a happy ending after following their journey but now I feel so betrayed. How is this entertaining anyway? Is that how humans really feels? They are such small and yet beautiful creatures. How long I spend reading this?"

    "Around 10 minutes."

"Oh my. It felt like I stayed a whole week reading this. We do not have books like those in Hollowgrounds."

"It was a similar experience with my mother. This book was the first story my mother read."

    "Is that so?"

"And she cried just like you did. But she was way more extreme. She only stopped after my dad holded her in his arms for almost a whole night. Good for him that he did had a break the next day."

"Teehee! I believe the scene was funny."

"I wasn't born yet. Drake was still an infant at the time."

"You know, your mother almost sounds like mine. You see, my mother was originally a human."

"Does this means she was kidnapped?"

"You could say that. Of all my father's mistresses, she was the only one not born a vampire. Because of that you could say she had some...Human charm as we could say. People say that me and Wagner as her children had that charm passed on us."

"That might explain why you aren't being so hostile."

"You could say that....But you see Johnnathan....The reason why I came here is because there are some developments set to happen."

    "That sounds shady."

"Everything is shady in there. And because of that...Things are about to get busy next week. So....I really had the urge to see you as much as possible. So if isn't a burden, wouldn't you mind if I came here everyday for a while?"

"Well, sure. No one really come here a lot anyway."

"Ah! Thanks! I really was afraid of being inconvenient."

"Lady, I compete with Thunderlions for the biggest boars, you can't be more inconvenient than them."

"Well, that's settle it! Do you wanna do something tomorrow?"

"I was thinking of fishing on a river nearby."

"Sounds lovely! I will be there! 4 at afternoon?"

"It's about the right time, yes."

"Good! Now if isn't much...." She starts to drool. "Can I have a tiny little bit of blood?"

"....Sure." He exposes his arm and Evelyne digs right into it.

"Hmmm.....Delish! Thanks, Johnny!" Said Evelyne as she turns into a bat and leaves. Johnnathan looks as she flies away until she is out of his sight and he stares at his bed.

"...A girl....actually layed on my bed....I am never cleaning that."

Later at Hollowgrounds, Evelyne arrived at her room. She then sat on the chair and took time to meditate. Then she puts her hands over her head pulling her hair and plants her face on the table in shame.

"Oh my sweet grandmother! I....I just went inside a boy's room....And layed on his bed....Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

Another afternoon in Mians and Johnnathan was once again in the mountains. As usual the skies were clouded with not much sunlight. Johnnathan was roasting a whole boar in a skewer above a fireplace next to a body of water. Next to him there was another dead boar. Evelyne was with him, sitting on a rock and reading a book. The two of them have been meeting each other these past few days frequently.

"Hmm...." She murmured while being focused and reading the book as the same way as the previous one. In a matter of minutes she finishes and slowly shed tears.

"So this is poetry..." She speaked to herself. "To think one could express themselves like that and send those feeling with only words...Such a masterpiece...sniff..."

"You really need to get out more." Said Johnnathan as he finished to roast the boar. He picked a wodden stick and pierced it taking a small chunk of meat to eat.

"Uh, Johnnathan?" Said Evelyne. "Don't you feel bad eating that?"

"The boar saw it coming! It was either me or those Thunderlions!" Said Johnnathan.

"No, it just...Eating a flesh of an animal is kind of gross."

"Maybe if it was raw, but that's why we often cook them."

"Yeah, but....it's an animal that rolls in their own dirty and feces."

"I think those are pigs. What are you even...Oh. I got it. Since you are a vampire, I guess you don't get about what eating is all about isn't it?"

    "...Not with munching."

"Yeah, right. You never asks a human where did he passed through before bitting their necks do you?"

"I'll let you know that the blood I drink is carefully selected."

"I don't remember being selected when we first met."

"W-Well...You see....Argh! Forget it! I just think swallowing meat down your throat is nasty!

    "Fine. Whatever."

"...Do you hate me? For bitting other people?"

"Let's just say I do not find cool. I may be half-vampire, but I was raised as a human. But I guess if the only way for me to survive is to bite other people to the death....Who am I to judge?"

"...How did your mother held against the thirst anyway?"

"Me and Drake took care of that. The hard part was when Drake wasn't around. My father had to fill her in."

"I see. Your father must have a lot of stamina power, huh?"

"Yeah, it's a miracle he is still alive."

Johnnathan then starts to devour the whole boar like a wild animal while Evelyne watches it silently with her cheek resting on her palm.

"He is savage like a vampire. But he still looks so cute while eating it." She thought to herself with a smile on her face.

After a while he finishes the whole boar.

"That one sure hit the spot. Usually those stupid oversized cats take the best ones but I'm glad you could helped me with it, Eve." Said Johnnathan.

"I'm glad I could be useful."

"And on top of that I have another whole boar to give to father. Today was a good day."

    "...Johnny. Do you think....I'm evil?"

    "Where did tha came from?"

"It's just...When you said you were raised as a human I thought...maybe you resent me somehow?"

    "...That's stupid."

    "Huh?"

"Basically you said that because you are a vampire, then I may find you bad? Of course not. I mean, my mother was a vampire. You should blame someone based on their birthplace or race. Also, I wouldn't bother myself in hanging around with you if I found you bad, would I?"

"Is that so? Then....Can I drink a little bit from your bloood?" She asked drooling and with her eyes sparkling. "Pretty pleaaaase?"

    "Huuuh....Sure. Here, heve my arm."

"Actually...Can I drink from your neck?"

    "My....Neck?"

"Yeah. You see....Blood tastes a lot better when you drink from the carotidy."

"I-I see...Mother said something like that once. Well, I guess I must thank you somehow for the boars so..." Johnnathan exposes his neck by disclosing his collar of his shirt."Go ahead, I guess."

"Alright." Said Evelyne as she approaches him and stare at his neck.

"....Are you waiting something." Said Johnnathan with a nervous tone.

"I-I just need to make sure you aren't harmed." Said Evelyne also with a nervous tone.

She puts her hands over his shoulder and slowly delivers her bite.

"Uuuurg....Come on Johnnathan keep yourself together." Thought Johnnathan as he was trying to compose himself. "She has done this before, it just right now she is right in front of you and you can feel her torso touching your's's. Try to not hug her!"

"Oh man. I actually did it! What have I done?" Thought Evelyne while sucking his neck. "I can feel his body heat coming through my chest. I really should stop it now, but....I sooo want to him to hold me in his arms right now....I can't take it much longer!"

After a while Evelyne stops sucking his neck and the two of them took a deep breath.

"Sorry." Said Evelyne. "I guess I got carried away."

"It's...It's okay." Said Johnnathan as he falls to the grass.

"Ah! Are you alright?!" Shouted Evelyne.

"I'm fine. It's just...I need to rest a bit. And besides, it's time."

    "Time for what?"

    "Look."

Johnnathan pointed to the sky. It was beggining to dusk.

"The sky..." Said Evelyne looking skyward.

"I like to lay on the ground and see the night rise."

"Really? Me too. But it's hard to do in Hollowgrounds."

"Wanna see it together? Right now."

    "O-Oh! Sure."

She then lay down on the grass right next to Johnnathan. Soon the stars starts to pop out one after the other.

"Why do you like to do this, Johnnathan?"

"The last time I saw my mother, it was a sky just like this. It's feel like...she is still nearby."

    "Is that so?"

"And it gives that sensation of a day, either good or bad, is about to end. And that a new dawn is about to unfold."

    "Deep."

"I wonder if somewhere Drake is seeing the same skies...Probably not. He is not the type to pay attention to details like these."

"...Say. If somehow I were to disappear the next day...Would you be sad?"

"Honestly, yes. Ever since I met you...these mountains had become so much better. It's like it became a new place to discover."

    "I....I'm glad you think that."

"You know, its kind of crazy. How an unexpected thing can happen in your life....And....Yaaawn....Change so much...."

    "Yeah, it is kinda of....Johnnathan?"

She checks Johnnathan and sees that he fall asleep.

"Oh. I think I really did drank too much." Said Evelyne as she looked closer to him.

Johnnathan was asleep right in front of her. She looks at his face and notices his mouth a little open. Captivated, she closes her eyes and slowly approaches her lips into his mouth. As she gets closer, she slowly opens her mouth ready for a kiss.

But as soon as she was a inch away from do it, she stops and open her eyes. She sheds a little bit of tears and kiss his cheek instead.

    "...Goodbye."

She turns into a bat and flies away. When the place was clear, Alex appears wearing a red coat and a hat with a long and large suitcase with him looking at where Evelyne as a bat went to.

"I knew it." Said Alex to himself. "I never thought you would meet a vampire other than your mother this soon, son."

He gets on one knee and looks at his son, asleep.

"But I must say...children nowadays are growing so fast. I really thought there would be your first kiss right now."

Alex looks at the sky, slowly turning into the night.

"I guess like Father like Son. Don't you think, so? Ruby?"

    Prologue part 7.

    Hidden:

Back in Hollowgrounds Castle, Corvus and his siblings outside of Specter and Evelyne were waiting inside Specter's room. The room was filled with bookshelves, a set of glasses with strange liquids inside alongside an aquarium with a weird fish with three eyes.

"....I don't want to be here." Said Carol with a frightful tone.

"Ah come on. You can't be afraid of this." Said Lex as he approaches the fish and it scares Lex by opening it's huge mouth. "Kyaaaaaa!" He jumps at Carol's arms.

"Ohohoho! How cute of a weak little brother to run over his big sister arms when in danger." Said Carol.

    "S-Shut up!"

"Anyway..." Said Wagner. "Where is Eve and Specter?"

"Specter told me about the possibility of he not being around." Said Corvus while looking at a white folder and a black letter in the desk. Looking at that he remembered a conversation he had with Specter yesterday.

"What do you mean by that?" Said Corvus to Specter yesterday.

"I am just saying that...in the slightest possibility I can't make it before you and all the other six of us....You take a look inside this folder. And...if it's sucessfull...You read this letter. Simple as that."

"Yeah. I am not an idiot."

"Well, do I don't need to worry about anything. Heehehe...."

Back to the present, A bat came inside Specter's room and it turned out to be Evelyne.

"Sorry guys. I'm late." Said her.

"That's very unlike you." Said Wagner as he noticed a bit of blood in her lips.

"Oh? Is that blood?" Said Carol in curiosity. "Poor thing. You were that thirsty."

"About that." Said Wagner as he tasted it. "This tastes more vampire than human."

"What?!" Shouted Carol. "E-Eve, you....There is a guy you like?!"

"Uh...It's not like that." Said Evelyne.

"Meh. Whatever. Since we are gonna kill everyone here, it shouldn't matter anyway." Said Corvus as he grabbed the folders and went to Specter's coffin.

    "What about Specter?" Said Wagner.

"He said that we could start without him." Said Corvus as he opened the coffin and pressed a small switch inside it. A door opened from both sides inside the coffin.

"Shall we?" Said Corvus as they descended a stair to a secret laboratory.

"Okay, how did Specter build this in the castle without anyone knowing?" Said Carol.

"He is a mad scientist. That's what they do." Said Corvus as he stops to look at a coffin-like pod in the center of six other similar pods. On top of the pod in the center, there was a glass cylinder with a strange black liquid.

"Seven of them...What's the meaning of this?" Said Corvus as he take a look at the notes in the folder he took from Specter that he reads in an instant. "I see...Very well. Let's start."

    "Without Specter?" Said Wagner.

"If he did not considerated coming here at the time he himself said it, then why should we wait for him?" Said Corvus as he was manipulating the machinery.

"Corvus Lecardre! Stop this right now!" Shouted a woman with blond hair and a black bat-shaped mask covering her eyes.

"...Couldn't you knock the door, mother?" Said Corvus as he was still facing his back at her and ignoring her while make some adjustments on the pods.

"You do know the door is all the way up there, right?" Said Wagner in the sidelines.

"You're welcome Wagner. By the way why does the mighty Queen Topazia wants with us anyway?" Said Corvus in a sarcastic tone.

"Stop you, of course!" Said Topazia in an irritated tone. "I heard everything you know. I was there in the Dark Forest when I heard about your ploys. Honestly, this is the most I would expect of you, son. But dragging your siblings into this is crossing the line!"

"Crossing the line you say? Funny you say that." Said Corvus. "Is there anything wrong in killing my father? I wouldn't be the first one who wanted my father dead. Isn't our story based on betrayals and backstabing?"

"Your father done the impossible to make sure none of this would ever happen again! And now you want to shred all order he impossed!" Said Topazia. "I even had to get rid of Specter to stop this."

W-What?!" Shouted Evelyne. "You killed Specter?! Your own son?!"

"...Well, I would be lying if I said I would miss him." Said Lex.

"For the first time I agree with you, Lex." Said Carol.

"Guys. It was our brother..." Said Evelyne in a sad tone.

"So you killed Specter. I suspected as much something like that happened. And now that you are here how do you intend to stop me?" Said Corvus.

"I will use force as well if necessary. But I really do wish to not take another son of mine's life."

"You do realize you are outnumbered, do you?"

"I trust that your siblings would never harm me!"

"She has a point, Corvus." Said Carol. "I know I agreed on all this, but I am not in the mood of killing her."

"Yeah, man. She is kinda nice." Said Lex.

    "...Kehehe...Kaaahahahahaha!" Corvus laughed.

    "What's so funny?" Said Topazia.

"You went all about how father worked on ensuring order and all that stuff, but he didn't really do a good job." Said Corvus as he picked a vial of blood from his shirt pocket.

"Miller! Catch it!" Corvus toss at Miller and he catches it like a dog and drinks the blood.

"What are you playing now, Corvus?" Said Topazia.

"Didn't you knew that Miller can look at the memories in the blood of the ones he drinks?" Said Corvus.

"Huh?! It's the first I heard of that!"

"Yeah, I might had hidden this from you and dad."

"....Oh." Said Miller after drinking the blood. "So that's how it is, huh?"

    "What?" Asked Topazia.

"This blood....Is from a Werewolf." Said Miller showing one of his eyes behind his bangs with a white tone on it.

"Ah!" Gasped Topazia. "Don't tell me..."

"A werewolf....from that day. Where we all lost our mothers."

"Huh?! You mean..." Said Evelyne. "But what does all that have to do with..."

"Stop!" Shouted Topazia. "Please Miller, I beg of you! Don't tell them..."

"That you were the mastermind behind that tragedy, mother?" Said Corvus that sent a chill down on everyone's spines after that statement.

"...How?" Said Wagner in disbelief. "How did she did it?"

"Apparently she smuggled them alongside some slaves." Said Miller. "She is the one that is in charge of them, right?"

"In other words she took advantage of her position and brought them inside our territory." Said Wagner. "But I don't get it why did they cooperated."

"The Werewolves were like hired assassins. Mother offered them land and resources if they killed some very specific targets that night." Said Corvus.

"But hold on...My mother...Our mothers...They all died that night. Just....Why did they had to die..." Said Carol in a sad tone.

"Did you missed the part of specific targets brother said it, sister?" Said Miller. "Our mothers....Were the targets all along."

    "Huh?" Said Lex. "Even....Mine? Why?"

"Because she was jealous." Said Corvus. "She might be the first wife and Queen, but as the time passed, father always favored the other three. I mean you seen what those girls do for Wagner, right?"

    "It's....It's not true." Said a desperated Topazia. "It's a lie...I would never..."

"Please tell me it's not." Said Evelyne, crying next to her.

    "Please....Say something...Try to defend yourself...Tell me it's not true..."

"Eve....I....I'm sorry." Responded Topazia as she removes her mask revealing her eyes tearing.

"There are things that even I am not proud of it. I just couldn't stand anymore. How could I, The Queen, be treated like that. Being putted away like a discarded object. Diamanta, Ametista, Opala...All of them received better treatment than me. No one could say I was the first wife anymore...I had...To get rid of them." Finished Topazia.

"Why?" Asked Evelyne on the verge of tears."Why are you saying those things?"

"Because...I just can't lie to you. You don't deserve this, my little moth." Replied Topazia.

Uuuugh....Waaaaaaa!" Cried Evelyne who kneeled and planted her face on the floor.

"Eve...I am so sorry...." Said Topazia as she went to comfort her, but Evelyne pushed her back by slashing her with her fingernails, scratching her face.

"Ah! Evelyne! Said a scared Topazia.

"Stay away from me! You Murderer!" Shouted Evelyne with her eyes filled with anger and tears.

"That's enough." Said Wagner pulling Evelyne away as he approached Topazia with a rapier in hand alongside Magnus with a sword of his own and Carol who had two daggers in her hands crying a river of tears.

"Let me at her as well!" Shouted Lex.

"Give it up." Said Miller drinking a bottle of blood. "I know how you feel brother, but this is something we should let our older siblings take care of it. Besides a Lower Vampire like you can't do jack against her anyway."

"This is the only time I let you speak to me like this pipsqueak." Replied Lex.

"Now then...Shall we do this? Carol? Magnus?" Said Wagner as he pointed his blade right into Topazia's chest.

"W-Wait!" Pleaded Topazia. "Please, don't do this! Wasn't I a good mother?! I took you all as if you were my own children!"

"Well that's a problem. After all, wasn't Specter a son of yours?" Said Wagner.

"T-That..." Replied Topazia, crying in desperation.

    "Any last words?" Said Wagner.

"...I loved you all." Said Topazia closing her eyes.

"...I wish I could say the same." Responded Wagner as he thrust his rapier into her heart and Magnus and Carol starts to stab the rest of her body before she could even scream. Evelyne turned away from the scene while Corvus and the rest watched indifferent. After a while, her whole body disappears in ashes.

The three of them steps away from where she died and Wagner approaches Corvus.

    "Can we begin?" Said Wagner.

"Just a second. I just watched my mother being annihilated to the death by my half-siblings, so I need time to compose myself....Yeah, it passed. Let's do this."

Corvus begins to finish the preparations and the pods all open. Corvus went to the middle and the rest of them went to the remaining one. But before they enter, Corvus picks the letter Specter left and reads it.

    "......I see."

Corvus shreds the letter to pieces and went inside the pod. Wagner was looking at him before entering the pod and went inside. Suddenly the pods closes and the machinery is activated. The black liquid is slowly being absorved and lowers it's volume. Inside Corvus' pod, he notices a red spark being emmited from his body.

"Oh....Oh! Oooooooh! Yes! Yeeees! It's working!" He shouted in ecstasy. After some time, all the pods released a red electric current and soon the machiney stops and the pods open it. Corvus and his siblings both exit their pods. Evelyne leaves a bit dizzy and gets on her knees.

    "Huff....Hufff...I'm tired." Said Evelyne.

"Eve...How do you feel?" Said Corvus. "Anything different?"

"Weeell...Ah!" Evelyne extends her arms and a red chain comes out of her palm scaring her.

"What is this? Is it...part of me?" Said Evelyne.

Corvus then pierced his heart with his hand, but instead of went through his body, it passed through a small red vortex on his chest. There he took out a jet black saber with the handle looking like the head of a raven.

"...Nice job, Specter." Said Corvus in delight.

"It seems it was a success after all, huh?" Said Wagner who appeared with blade-like claws in his nails alongside Carol who had a set of daggers in each hand and Lex with a long sword that looked like a shark's flipper.

"I can feel it..." Said Lex. "With this...I feel like a Higher Vampire now!"

"You are still under us in a hierarchy sense." Said Wagner.

"We will see about that, brother." Responded Lex.

"I know this is not the best time, but who is that guy?" Said Carol pointing at a small vampire with a spiky hair that looked like a bush with his eyes clear white.

"Eeeeeeeeeee...." Murmured the small unknown creature.

"I think that's Miller." Said Corvus.

"He looks....different. Are you okay, Miller?" Said Carol in concern.

Miller went to where his pod was and bited a large chunk of the machine and starts to eat it.

"He is actually eating it. Like putting in his mouth and chomping it." Said Evelyne in awe.

"It's more impressive the fact that he is eating something that wasn't supossed to be eaten instead of eating in general you know." Said Corvus.

"So we can consume other things other than blood now? Sweet!" Said Carol. "What should we try? I always wanted to know if those deers we let the humans hunt ACTUALLY tastes good.

"Most importantly, where is my brother?" Said Lex looking around.

Then a humongous man wearing a black cylindrical helmet only showing two glowing red eyes appears before them and sits on the floor with his arms crossed.

"...I guess that him." Said Evelyne.

"Damn. I didn't thought he could get any bigger." Said Lex. "And...Is he sleeping?"

"Specter predicted that his reaction would be a huge boost in his physical strenght." Said Corvus. "The drawback is that this much power is to be balanced somehow. He can only become active for a hour in a day."

"Considering how big his strenght was in the past...I'm glad this handicap exists." Said Wagner.

"Well then, let's now put the cards in the table, as they say." Said Corvus as he sits down on a piece of machiney laying around. "My brothers and sisters. Right now, life gave us a new beggining and we are now reborn anew. So because of that we do need new names now. From now on I am Corvus no more. I am now now Raven. And since I bestowed this new life on you, I shall also choose your new names. Nightmare. Noir. Moonlight. Blanc. Evening. And Chill...It's nice to meet you."

    "Okay." Said Noir. "....What now?"

"First, we rebel against the one we called father." Said Raven. "And then we retaliate this boring chump of a world. Are you with me."

"If it means we fight, then count me in." Said Blanc.

    "Very well....Moonlight!" Said Raven.

    "Yeah, Raven?"

"We need new clothers as well."

    Prologue Finale.
    Hidden:

Hollowgrounds was being consumed by flames. There was no human soul in there. Every vampire seemed to have disappeared.

In the throne room, Raven was standing in front of his father who was gravely wounded, missing an arm and bleeding constantly while he was laying his back on a wall while sitting on the floor. Raven had a worn out black coat filled with holes and his entire attire was almost filled with holes. His face was filled with cuts that soon were being healed.

"That's pretty good. I mean it wasn't that good, but not too bad either. It was definetly above avarage." Said Raven as he was removing fire from his coat. "Don't you have anything to say. You are pretty quiet."

"...What do you want to hear it from me? For me to beg to mercy?" Said Vladmir in his last breath. "I have nothing worthy to say to you. Ungrateful child."

"Ungratedful?" Asked Raven. "I do not remember anything worthy to be grateful to you as well. All I was to you was a tool for your own selfish desires. Such was the same for my other siblings."

    "...You're right." Said Vladmir.

"Yeah, and...Wait." Said a confised Raven. "Did you just agreed with me?"

"I always feared that the day were you would try to kill me. I just didn't predicted that would mess things this badly." Said Vladmir. "I just acted the way I did, because that how vampires are. Selfish creatures that only think for themselves. How many lives have we sacrificed just so we could live? No different than parasites. It had been like this ever since the end of the Immortals. And now....there you are changing things again. Maybe for the better or worse."

"Well now that is a philosophical side of yours I never knew you had." Said Raven. "Well I don't care if it will be better or worse. All I care is how things will go my way. That's all."

"Heh! So you are just a selfish jerk aftar all."

"I try. Now if you excuse me I have a world to destroy it. And then put another one. Like putting a house down and building a way cooler house. And even put a casino inside."

Raven turns away and walks outside.

"I'll have you die a slow death, old timer. You won't give me the satisfaction of killing you with the look of despair so I'll just let you suffer as your empire crumbles away. Farewell." Said Raven.

"...Raven, wasn't it?" Said Vladmir. "You will never win."

"...What?" Said Raven as he stopped walking.

"I don't know what you want exactly, but you will fail. I am not saying this to stop you. But I know already you will fail. When my mother failed her role I went to a different path from what she had intended. But I ended being a far bigger failure. And you...Your path is not that different from me. There will always something or someone to keep the order in this world in check. And a chaotic being like you will be stopped sooner or later....All that awaits in your path....Is Defeat."

"....Thanks for the warning." Said Raven, facing his father a last time before fading away.

As the time passes, the room starts to perish. The ceiling crumbles and a stone falls on the throne and destroys it.

"...I never liked that chair." Said Vladmir as he hopeless stays fallen.

Then some sort of image starts to appear in front of him. It was a foggy humanoid image that slowly took form.

    "Am I hallucinating?"

Then the image came closer to him and it turned into a ghostly apparition of Topazia's that kneeled next to him.

    "Topazia?"

He extends his arms and Topazia holded his hand. Then Vladmir grabbed her hand with both of his hands.

"So at the end you were the one I would think at last. It has been quite a lot of time ever since I was this happy in seeing you. As the time passed I stopped seeing you as a woman even when the other three perished. What I have done to you...You didn't deserved it. I hope we can be together somehow...My Queen."

The floor starts to collapse and the whole room is destroyed. All of the Hollowgrounds is now reduced to ashes.

In the next morning, at Mians. Alex woke up earlier to prepare himself for a trip. He wore his coat and hat and carried his large suitcase behind his back. When he went outside he saw Johnnathan in the yard looking to the morning sky.

"Now this is a surprise." Said Alex. "You usually isn't this up."

"Oh. Hi dad." Said Johnnathan in a melancholic tone.

    "What's the matter?"

    "It's just...I don't know."

    "Does it involves your not-girlfriend?"

    "...Yes."

"It seemed to me you two were getting along well."

"How do you possibly know that?"

    "Fatherly Instinct."

"Well...we didn't fight or anything, but...I have this feeling...that I might never see her again."

"...Heh. See? That's what happens when you don't leave the friendzone early."

"It's not everyone that gets a wife in the first day like you dad."

"It didn't exactly took a day, but I guess I did took the correct path early."

"Whatever. You have a ship to take, right? You better hurry."

    "Alright then."

Alex went to the gate of the house and opened it. He then looked back one last time and saw his son's sad face again.

"...Damn, I got soft." He said to himself. "Johnny!"

    "Yeah?"

    "Do you wanna come along?"

Later at the town, Alex was walking alongside Johnnathan that had a backpack with him. Soon they come across Elma walking in the streets.

"Oh my." Said Elma. "I wasn't expecting seeing little Johnny this early."

"Yeah, I am taking him for a trip." Said Alex.

"A trip? Don't you have a meeting in Zaratraz today?"

"Yeah. I mean, if they are forcing me to go at least I could take my son to I don't know, eat some ice cream or something."

"It was about time for you to take this boy for some fresh air."

"The mountains have a lot of fresh air, miss Elma." Said Johnnathan.

"But youngsters must expand their horizons while they are still young." Said Elma.

    "Like Drake?" Said Johnnathan.

"Leave your brother out of this!" Shouted Elma.

"Alright, alright. Johnny, the adults need to talk. Can you go to the docks ahead of me?"

    "Sure, dad."

    Johnnathan dashed ahead.

"What do you wanna discuss it, Alex?"

"I confirmed my suspicions. This girl Johnnathan has been seeing out is a vampire."

"Oh. Have you looked at her."

"Yeah. About the same age as him, I guess. Pretty cute as well. Possibly Higher."

"I see. Well, Johnnathan is certainly safe. It's more difficult to a vampire to kill a Hybrid than a Werewolf as they say."

"I don't know. Being close to a vampire is not really a good thing."

    "Never stopped you, didn't it?"

"I guess. I mean, it was easier when Drake was born, but...It never ends well."

"Nothing end well, Alex. Everything ends someday, sooner or later. So there is not a bad end or a good end. It just ends."

"If my job taught me something is that vampires are very pitiful creatures. Ruby once said to me that an endless life is the same as an endless fight."

"Makes you think if she went away satisfied don't you?"

"Yeah. But anyway, I still wished she was still here...By the way Elma, can I ask you a favor?"

    "Yeah?"

"If something happens to me...take care of the house."

"It's the least I could do."

    "Thanks."

He waves goodbye and heads to the docks. After a while after boarding the ship, Johnnathan was at the deck looking at the waves of the ocean that passed through the ship's route.

"Do you like the sea?" Said Alex who appeared behind him.

    "It's pretty nice." Said Johnnathan.

"I always thought it was weird for someone living in a place next to the sea to spend most of his time in a mountain."

"It's because our house is in the mountains...jackass."

"It never prevented you to go to town you know."

"I only have too little time to enjoy. I rather stay where is more calm."

"Speaking like a teenager. The angst kind of one."

"Changing the subject, why do you think Drake became a pirate?"

"Beats me. That boy was always a trouble magnet."

"And you? Why did you became a Hunter?"

"I didn't choose because I wanted. I just happened to be pretty good at killing. That's all."

"You sound like it's no big deal."

"Because it really isn't it. By the eyes of the vampires I am just some sort of psychotic murderer. I guess even your mother would see it like that when you think about it. But then again, it was because of them that I became what I am today."

"Do you regert it after everything?"

"Of course not. It's not everytime one is a father of a Hybrid. Two even."

"...One day...I'll have a ship of my own."

"And what you are gonna do with that."

"I'll go wherever I want to go."

"...Just don't get yourself roped with trouble like your brother."

    *Splash*

A sound of something splashing on the water sounds next to them.

"Hey!" A voice of a girl came from below the ship. There what seems to be a girl with a short sea green hair in twintail style that also had red fish fins coming out of iti was floating in the sea.

"Can any of you gentlemen tell me in which direction is Mians?" Said the girl. Johnnathan and Alex pointed at the direction they came without saying a word.

"Thanks!" The girl happily swimmed at the direction they pointed and leaped into the sea revealing a fish tail for legs.

    "Was that..." Said Johnnathan.

"Mermaid? Yeah. Pretty rare seeing one far away from the North Pole." Said Alex.

    "Will she be alright?"

"Don't worry. She may be about your age, but she is a Sea's Ruler. And I guess she is a Shark as well."

    "A Shark?"

"It's how they call those Mermaids that have one human parent. They tend to cover great distances at a young age. That's because they don't think twice in eating a sea creature on the way.

"Have a human parent makes you do that?"

"I mean, every thing in the sea eats everything smaller than them, but only the Sharks have the courage to do it for some reason."

"So she is most likely a shark. I guess I can relate to her somehow."

"She probably didn't spent most of her life in a mountain though."

"Haha. Very funny." Said Johnnathan sarcastically.

After a short trip, they arrive at Zaratraz. A fortified island with a whole city over it. It was a neutral territory that served as some sort of link between Blitzreign and Drakland. Everytime some sort of diplomatic meeting between the two nations this place is chosen for negotiations. It is also next to a prison tower where the worst criminals from all over the world goes.

The ship arrived at the island's docks and Alex and Johnnathan unboarded it. The two of them walks across the streets filled with civilians and soldiers. A large tower could be seen at the distance connected by a bridge. It was the Black Gaol, the world's largest prison.

"It sure is crowded here." Said Johnnathan.

"Good part of them are merchants from Drakland and Blitzreign. This place also works as an outpost. They pass here and trade some stuff or sell it. Then go away. " Said Alex.

    "You sure know your stuff."

"It's one of those things when you travel to place to place. Anyway, I am going alone from here. Here a little of pocket money. When I come back we go to Liampool for Lunch. How does that sounds?"

"It's great! We should buy souveniers too!"

"Right. Elma sure would love a clock. See ya, kid. Don't get in trouble."

    "Bye dad!"

The father and son wave goodbyes to one another and Johnnathan went alone to a food stand.

"Hmm...What does they sell here?" Said Johnnathan as he looked it up. It was crepes. He never had a crepe once. He paid for a Tuna Crepe. But before he could even bite a stray cat snatched away. He gets paralyzed by the disappointment and holds himself to not cry.

"That was unlucky, huh?" Said a young woman behind him with her her face hidden by a hood covering her head and shoulders.

"Here." She hands him a similar crepe to him.

"Thanks lady! I will pay you back later."

"No need for it." Said the young lady.

As Johnnathan walks away enjoying his food, the woman gazes at him from afar and suddenly gets a weird look.

"What is this weird vibe I am getting from that boy? And..." She looks far to the horizon. "What is this dark cloud approaching the city.

Far away hidden in the clouds, a giant black flying with the figurehead of a dark bird was slowly approaching Zaratraz. It was Raven's ship, the Death Crow. Inside it was like a military base with hallways and numerous rooms. In one of those rooms there was Noir putting a silver gauntlet in his arm. He was wearing a dark blue shirt, black pants and a pair of boots. In his neck there was a purple scarf covering his mouth.

"Hey brother, looking good!" Said Moonlight wearing a neon green dress reealing her left leg. "But then again, you would look good even dressed like a sloppy."

"I have no interest in what other thinks." Said Noir still focused on his gauntlets.

"Now, now. As the most perfect of us all, you have to care about your image." Said Moonlight.

"That's why. I do not need to be reminded of that."

"Well, aren't you modest. You see I took great pleasure in seeing you taking out all of those snakes that wanted to snatched you back in Hollowgrounds. Those dirty vampires should have know that you are just too good for any of them!"

"Don't misunderstand. I just did what I did so you wouldn't discount your frustration on them."

"Oh. How sweet! You were thinking of your little sister when you were killing them. I knew you cared."

"Uhhh....Excuse me?" Said Evening who just appeared. "Raven is calling everybody."

"Is he already done?" Said Noir. "It's already on time."

"Things are about to get interesting. Aren't you excited Eve?" Said Carol.

"Uh...Yeah, sure. Whatever." Said Evening in a hesitant tone.

On the deck of the ship, Raven was alongside two regular vampires wearing red coats with hoods with the image of a black raven on the back. In front of him a human man was on his knees. He approaches the man and turns his right hand into a crimsom claw.

"Tell me." Said Raven to the man. "What is your name?"

"...Phil." Said the man. "At least that's what they told me."

"I see..Welcome to the family, Phil!" He stabs him with his claw and Phil's skin starts to become pale and a coat magically appears around his body.

"So then...Phil. How do you feel?" Said Raven.

"How do I feel?" Said Phil while looking at the other vampires.

"...I feel that guy over there is looking at me funny!" Shouted Phil before he leaped through the other two and started to fight one another.

"Maaan. Look at them go. Daddy is proud of you all!" Said Raven.

"When it was me, I would get scolded at the next second" Said Blanc who appeared wearing a white jacket and a black shirt. "Anyway, any idea how you are gonna control all those misfits?"

"Do not worry. Since my blood are now infecting them, it will be a walk in the park to hold those dogs on a leash." Said Raven.

"But didn't you always said that you should do whatever the hell you want or something?" Said Noir who arrived alongside Evening and Moonlight.

"Aha! Well, I did say that. But you see I am not really forcing anyone here, honestly. All I did was put a bit of influence into their soul. They can still act on their own will. But since they are a bit part "me" then I have certain privileges above them."

"So if someone betrays you it's like betraying themselves. Is that what you said it?"

"Pretty much. But you see...I wouldn't trust myself at a certain degree. Anyway what about Nightmare and Chill?"

"Nightmare was sleeping and Chill was....munching his helmet for some reason."

"I see. Let leave those two be. Moonlight, could you look for Zaratraz."

"Anything for you, Raven." Moonlight picked a small telescope between her bosom and looked it up. "I can see it....About 20 or so kilometers from here."

"Your eyesight is way more amazing than before sister." Said Evelyne.

"Alright then." Said Raven who snapped his fingers that called a pair of vampires carrying a giant black harpoon. "Tell me when we are about 10 or so kilometers."

At Zaratraz, Alex went to a grand hall at the center of the city. There he climbed all the way to the top floor where he took a deep breath in front of a large door.

"This might sounds weird coming from someone who lives in a mountain, but....I hate stairs." He enters the room and finds a long table. Also there were two other man dressed in noble clothes with one spotting a brown beard and a crown and the other long blond hair and a golden mask covering his eyes. They were the King of Drakland, King Stewart and the Emperor of Blitzreign, Emperor Lenard.

"I was wondering if you actually would appear and I'm not gonna have to pull you by the hair, Alex." Said Lenard hostily toward Alex.

"You never said that when I risked going to Circa or Mox to kill one or three Higher Vampires and sometimes a Chimera. How is it doing, Stewart?" Said Alex as he was sitting to a chair close to them.

"Do not address me or Stewart so casually, Alex!" Said Lenard.

"I do not mind, actually." Said Stewart.

"Now then." Said Alex. "What is that you wish to discuss in particular, Lenard?"

"Didn't you figured out already? If you are here then it couldn't be anything other than dealing with Vampires." Said Lenard.

"Usually I am not called for a conference like this." Replied Alex.

"Let's say I was thinking of a large scale operation here." Said Lenard. "And I would like Drakland to have an ear as well."

"Interesting." Said Stewart. "What do you have in mind?"

"An all-out assault on Hollowgrounds. Eliminate the vampires once and for all." Stated Lenard.

"...Was that a joke, Lenard?" Said Alex. "I am not really laughing at it."

"I expected this initial reaction, but hear me out." Said Lenard. "There is a reason why just now I proposed this just now. I already managed to develop enough military resource to crush them all. And with everyone's help our victory is next to certain I believe."

"Sounds like you don't need me at all then." Said Alex. "After all, I am just one guy."

"Your help is more then welcome." Said Lenard. "For things to go smoothly as possible, I request you to take command of the operation. Fight alongside our army as an acting general."

"You know, most people would tell the details first." Said Alex. "What is this accomplishment you had anyway to say you found enough resources to wage war against them? Maybe you don't wanna ruin the surprise? Or maybe you fear that someone might steal it from you?"

"Those are redundant details." Said Lenard. "What is it matter is that we can finally end this with one last crusade after 500 years. If you fear something about not having enough vampires to kill then do not be assured, because the reward will give you two lifetimes of a healthy and good life."

"...Heh. What a waste." Said Alex as he lifted from his chair and grabbed his scythe. "I'm out of this Lenard."

"What?" Replied a slightly annoying Lenard. "Do you have any idea what you are saying?"

"Yes. After all I was thinking of retiring of this Vampire Hunting bussiness anyway." Said Alex as he was leaving the room. "Thanks for everything!"

"Now wait just a second!" Said Lenard as he slammed the table with his fist. "Are you saying the Red Demon himself is quitting?! Are you nuts?!"

"No." Replied Alex. "In fact I was never so sane in all my life. It's time to me to settle down and stay next to my son."

"Oh? You have a son?" Said Stewart. "Who is the mother anyway?"

"Don't change the subject, Stewart!" Shouted Lenard. "And what about it your late wife, Alex? Don't you feel a drop of revenge in your heart?"

"The vampires that killed her are gone. I am satisfied." Said Alex. "By the way...You have been awfully quiet Stewart. Is there something you wanna share?"

"....I received a word before leaving it." Said Stewart. "And I apparently you were already beaten to it."

    "Huh?" Said a confused Lenard.

"Hollowgrounds is already destroyed. It seems that Vladmir's own children betrayed him and killed everyone." Said Stewart. "A group of refugees appeared in Drakland. Women and children. All the men were sired by Prince Corvus. Not only that, he destroyed the entire city and left in a black ship."

    "That's...Impossible." Said Lenard.

"Come to think of it..." Thought Alex, "Johnny did say he had a feeling he would not see Evelyne ever again...Is this a coincidence?"

"What are you thinking about it?" Said Stewart.

"Nothing." Said Alex. "It just...If they aren't in Hollowgrounds anymore then they might be scattered around the world now, right? That just makes tracking them more troublesome."

    "My thoughts exactly." Said Stewart.

"This can't get any worse." Said Lenard.

"It is about to get worse!" Said Raven aboard on his ship far away from them with one of the harpoons in his hands.

"....Why did you said that?" Asked Noir.

"I was in the mood for some reason." Said Raven bending his body ready to toss the harpoon. "By the time I throw this, the age of the Old Vampires will end. And then a new age, cooler and smoothier will rise. The age of the Rogue Vampires!"

He toss the harpoon and it flies straight at Zaratraz like a missile. Back at the hall, Alex senses a chilling sensation from behind and turns back.

    "What's the matter?" Said Stewart.

Alex then opened his suitcase and took a retractable scythe. A harpoon comes piercing the wall and Alex deflects it upward.

    "What was that?!" Shouted Lenard.

"It seemed like an attack." Said Stewart. "But I don't see any reason for that."

    "Could it be....Vampires?" Said Lenard.

"Vampires don't act like that." Said Alex. "It's something else...or they have some other objective."

Back at the Death Crow, Moonlight was seeing Zaratraz through her telescope.

"So?" Said Raven. "Have I done great?"

"Well.." Reolied Moonlight. "It seems for some reason the trajectory was redirectioned."

"Is that so?" Said Raven. "Well then. How about we get this party started? Fellas..."

With the snap of a finger, several Rogues appeared to the deck.

"Let's do a prison break!" Said Raven who after the order pointed at Zaratraz and they all turned into black and red clouds of mist, flying all the way to Zaratraz.

Back on the city, people have noticed the large harpoon that flew to the hall. Johnnathan was watching it as well.

"What was that? A stunt?" Said Johnnathan while finishing his crepe. Then the mist clouds appeared and turned into Rogue Vampires that started to bite and kill the people before they could even be in panic.

"Bloody hell! What are those?!" Shouted Johnnathan. "Vampires? They seem kinda off."

One of the Rogues tried to sneak behid Johnnathan, but he quickly picks a shovel and smashes his face before he could get him, knocking it out cold.

"...I am still pretty effective." Said Johnnathan as he sprint to the hall. "I need to find my father!"

Meanwhile, Alex and the rest where travelling through an underground passage scouted by heavily armoured soldiers.

"Damnit! I should have brought my own army!" Said Lenard. "I don't feel very safe being guarded by your men, King Stewart."

"You are the one who didn't deployed soldiers in Zaratraz in the first place." Said Stewart. "And Zaratraz's soldiers are too busy outside as well."

Then several Rogues appeared from behind. Alex reacted fast and already sliced one in half. One conjured a sword and atacked Alex.

"Huh. That's new." Said Alex as he dodges it and sliced the Rogue in half and procceds by slicing the rest.

"Well, technically he used to work for you, isn't Lenard?" Said Stewart.

"And I hope he still do." Replied Lenard.

"...That's odd." Said Alex as he see the Rogues still struggling to fight back. "Usually they all die with a wound like this. Are those really vampires?"

"Yes and No." Said a voice coming right in front of them who was revealed to be Noir.

"...That one looks different." Said Stewart.

"The vampires you just saw are know as Rogue Vampires or just Rogues for short." Explained Noir as he summons his claws. "Vampires whose bodies were altered to harness more Dark Magic than what their bodies were limited to. Of course there are some undesired side-effects for the weak-willed. Such as the progressive loss of logic. Of course I am not one of those."

"You..." Spoke Alex. "You must be the Harbinger of Disaster isn't it?"

    "You know me?"

"Of course I do. The Third Prince, Wagner Lecardre is very well-know in the Vampire Hunting bussiness. I heard rumours that everytime you appeared, your victims would die so fast that they couldn't see you coming. As if a strike of bad luck caused a disaster fall upon them."

"So that's the origin of that disgusting epithet, huh? I swear, humans always tend to exagerate when they faces against a force they cannot surpass. Oh well...I can already see by that giant gardening tool of yours that you might be the Red Demon, isn't it? Fancy seeing you here."

"Honestly I do not believe it either."

"Rumurs said that the blade of your scythe was bathed with so many vampire blood it gave a blood red colour to it. And I know bloodstains when I see one."

"I feel like we are being ignored here, Lenard." Said Stewart.

Honestly, I do not care about you two." Said Noir. "I merely came here because I found this secret route rather interesting. But you Red Demon....You do interest me!"

Noir vanishes and appears right behind Alex to cut him with his claws, but he quickly ducks and pushes him back with a swing of his scythe.

"Magnificient." Said Noir. "I made sure to make any noise, but you somehow noticed my presence."

"Lenard...Stewart..." Said Alex. "You two go ahead. I'll deal with him."

    "Are you sure?" Said Stewart.

"You two are easy targets for him." Said Alex. "Just tag along with your guards and go!"

"Just for your informartion, I am not going ahead because you told me so." Said Lenard as he and Stewart went away.

"Do you honestly believe out there is safe for them?" Said Noir.

"There is no way I can fight against someone like you while protecting them."

    "Aren't you a selfish bastard."

Back to the streets, the young woman that gave Johnnathan his crepe is fighting of the Rogues with a bow that didn't had strings, but it shot arrows made of a yellow light. Everytime an arrow hit a Rogues, their whole bodies were pierced like a large spear passing through them, killing it in the process.

"Those vampires...Why they have so many malice and hate....than usual." Said the woman as a Rogue sneaked behind her.

"Ah!" Shouted the woman as she was saved by Johnnathan who was passing through and hit the Rogue in the face with a shovel.

"Now we are even!" Shouted Johnnathan as he kept going to the hall.

"He took it down in one blow....I see boy. You are...."

Back on the underground passage, Alex was fiercely fighting agaisnt Noir. He swung his scythe pushing back Noir as he was dodging the attacks.

"Splendid, Red Demon!" Said Noir. "The way you move your weapon...It's like an extension of your own body."

"My son says the same." Said Alex as he pushes back Noir with a strong swing.

"You know, Red Demon." Said Noir. "I fought on the battlefield many times for centuries. I faced warriors like you, but you exceeds my expectations even with this new body of mine."

"What do you mean by warriors like me?"

"In general, I don't find humans interesting. But one time or the other I come across someone who actually have my attention. I am talking about those who honed his battle instincts to the point they can keep up with their enemies just by detecting their killing intent. You might have passed through of hardships, huh?"

    "Can't say I haven't."

"A vampire would never reach that level like an human you know. It may took years for you, but a vampire may pass even a thousand of years without developing those said instincts. It's one of those privileges of the weak they talk about it."

"And I believe you must a rare exception as well. You have those instincts as well, right?"

"Yes. It took about 3 centuries."

"Of all the vampires I faced...You are by far the most problematic."

"That's a problem you know. I know of two others who are certainly more of a challenge."

"Just my luck...But I don't intend to go down without a fight!"

    "Well said it!"

Noir sprinted at Alex who had his scythe ready to attack, but suddenly Alex feels dizzy and started to cough up blood. That made Noir stops midway.

"Urgh....Not now." Said Alex who was on his knees.

"....I see." Said Noir who stopped and crossed his arms. "It's a pity."

    "What?"

"It seems I was too late. I can see you are not in top position. You certainly aren't the same Red Demon from way back."

    "And why would you care?"

"I told you I am unlike those savages vampires you are used to it. I refuse to kill someone who isn't healthy in the first place. A true combat must be fight with honor. That's just the way I am."

"I was certainly not expecting to hear that from one of Vladmir's sons."

"Say whatever you want. I already cut ties with him anyway. But it does give a bad taste in my mouth."

"Whaaaaaat is going on here, little bro?" Said a voice from far away. It was Raven with his sword bathed in blood.

"Now what do we have here?" Said Alex struggling with the pain.

"Hmm? Why is that human there not dead yet?" Asked Raven.

"I do not kill anyone that can't fight back." Responded Noir. "Even if it is The Red Demon."

"The Red Demon you say?" Said Raven when he looked at Alex grasping his scythe with a fierce look in his eyes. "Oh well..."

Raven turns into mist and teleports himsef in front of Alex, kicking him in the face and sending him flying towards a wall.

"What the hell?" Said Raven as he grabbed Alex by the neck. "Is he really the Red Demon?"

"I wouldn't lie to you, would I brother?" Said Noir.

"Brother?" Said Alex. "Are you...Prince Corvus by any chance?"

"You heard about me, huh?" Said Raven as he drops down Alex.

"You....Magnus...And Wagner." Said Alex. "You three are often know as the most know vampires in the records...Magnus, The Unstoppable. Wagner, The Harbinger of Disaster. And finally you, The Crow Prince. Cough!"

"....Pfft! KAHAHAHAHAHA!" Raven laughed hysterically. "Is that how they actually call us? We should get out more. And here I thought Deathbringer was a cheesy epithet. But honestly well thought on mine's. It was...actually pretty clever."

"What are you doing here anyway?"

"Oh, nothing much. It just....you guys have a lot of people stuck on that tower over there and I thought maybe I could use them somehow?"

    "The prison....You don't mean...."

"Yes! I thought that maybe I could help with the rehabilitation. That sort of stuff."

"How many people do you think you have sired, damnit?"

"Hey, I need to start my world changing plans somewhere. But speaking of which...You don't look so well aren't you?"

"So what if I am not?"

"You know, ever since I heard about you I dreamed of fighting you once. But now I can see that you suffered terrible wounds to the point you look crippled compared from what I heard. Hell, from what I heard you could easily be a Hybrid, but it's a sweet surprise you are a human. So what do you say?"

He turns his arm into a crimsom coloured claw.

"Wanna join my pirate crew? We could use a guy like you. You would become a fine Rogue." Said Raven.

"...Hahaha....So funny. I can't think of any alternative here. I'm so desperate that I'm laughing." Said Alex.

"I am not forcing you or anything. You know I can be quite nice. For example I just passed through Lenard and Stewart in the way and I just killed one of them. Because I really wanted one of them to tell the story."

    "...It was Lenard?"

"As a matter of fact, yes."

    "Awesome. Hated that guy."

    "So...what is your answer?"

"You know....I have a son, you see....Two, in fact. I really...wish that neither of them saw me as a vampire."

"Hmm....You seem pretty chilled about it. Aren't you afraid on letting them alone in this cruel world?"

"They are tough....I guess....They are tougher than me."

Alex then looks at Raven with a smug in his face.

"So go ahead and kill me already, you bastard!"

    "Well said it!"

Raven pierces Alex's body with his claw and drains all of his blood making his body slowly turning blue.

"Urgh....This is....Not that painful at all..." Thought Alex. "Did you...suffered like this as well....Ruby...."

Alex then closes his eyes and dies.

"So that's how the Red Demon ends."

"The Red Demon ended years ago, I'm afraid."

On the way back, Johnnathan was on the underground passage following the way his father passed.

"Let's see...father wasn't up there so he might be around...huh?

From a far distance he saw his father's corpse.

    "Father?"

Then he looked more far and saw Raven facing the opposite direction with his hand filled with blood. At that moment Johnnathan knew what happened. He killed his father. His eyes turned ominous and his face was stern and serious. A dark aura covered his body as he slowly approached him.

On the way he picked up his father's scythe and jumped to strike Raven with a swing of it, but at the last moment Raven was able to hold the scythe's blade with his bare hand. He turned away and looked at Johnnathan.

    "Oh? It's you."

Raven then sliced Johnnathan with no hesitation. Johnnathan fell unconscious.

"A Hybrid boy? Do you know him?" Said Noir.

    "Somehow. It's a long story."

"I didn't even see him coming. Hybrids are still a threat it seems."

"It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, right?"

"Anyway, why was he here in the first place?"

Raven looked at Alex one more time.

    "...I think I might know."

The two of them leaves the scene. After a while Evening appeared and saw Johnnathan laying around.

    "Ah! Johnny!"

She rushes to his side turned him over. She cut her palm and dropped blood on Johnnathan's mouth.

    "Come on! Come on!"

She puts her ear on his chest and starts hearing his heartbeats.

    "Ah! Good. He is okay."

She then hugs him putting his head on her chest.

    "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

She cries a little bit and kisses his forehead. After putting him down she leaves. A while later Johnnathan wakes up.

    "Urgh...What happened."

He then see his father laying next to him.

    "Oh....That's right."

He then struggles to get up and leaves the place. He looks back to his father again dead on the floor.

"Why are you smiling old man?"

He reaches the end of the tunnel and arrives on the city. It was all ruins. The sun was setting and the twilight sky arrived. Johnnathan sat on a pile of rubble and looked at the sky as he slowly cried.

    "Damnit....Damnit!"

He gets frustrated and curls on a ball.

"Kid?"An anthropomorphic bird with red feathers and brown panties adress him."Are you alone?"

"There is certainly no one else here, right?"

    "Clever point."

"Why is there is an Acquilla here? Are you on an errand?"

"You could say that. Where are you from, kid?"

    "Mians."

"Want to me to take you there. I hope you aren't afraid of heights."

"No. I have no relatives anyway...Well, there is this brother of mine who is kind of infamous."

"Brother...Infamous...Mians....Boy, are you Johnnathan Highlander by any chanche?"

    "How do you know that?"

"Your brother, Drake Highlander is my captain."

    "You what?!"

"Wanna me to take to your brother? My name is Shadewing by the way."

He extends his arm to him and Johnnathan then reaches his hand.

    "....Ouch! The talons!"

    "Oops. Sorry."

    Default Re: Hybrid- Reboot Version.

    Chapter 1: Red Beast.

    Hidden:

It was a stormy sky at the middle of the ocean. The raindrops were falling like bullets and the winds were crazy. There was a large black fortress in the water, sturdy as a rock. It was a prison ruled by Rogues. The prisoners all humans, innocents or nots. All kept there for tributes. Tributes of a lifetime of servituse.

Inside the bastille, there were countless cells. In one of them, two prisoners, one a man sitting on the corner with a chilling expression and a desperate young woman sitting on the other corner were engaging on a conversation.

"How many days has it been?" Said the woman. "How long has it been since we came here?"

"Beats me." Said the man. "But soon, this will be irrelevant."

    "How?"

"Everyone here will become a Rogue Vampire. The concept of time will not exist and our previous lives lost forever in the past."

"No....No! No! No! I don't wanna! When is this gonna happen?!"

"When Admiral Raven desires it. It might be today. Or tomorrow. You should already accepted your fate."

    "No...Please no..."

The woman starts to cry. Soon, the bars on the cells are all cut out of nowhere.

"What?" Said the man who saw the figure of a male figure with a red jacket and two black sabers on each hand with one of them resting on his shoulders. He had a short brown hair and his right eye was red. He wore a white shirt and blue bants with black boots.

"Who are you?" Said the prisoner. "You aren't one of them."

"...I'm Johnnathan Highlander. The Red Beast."

"T-The Red Beast?!" Shouted the woman. "That Pirate with a 100 Pieces of Gold for his head?!"

"...Yeah, that's about it." Said Johnnathan as he went to the right direction. "Anyway the left is clear for now. There is a ship waiting it if you two are interested."

Johnnathan then leaves the two behind. The man then starts going to the left as Johnnathan suggested.

    "Where are you going?"

    "Getting out of here?"

    "But...It's probably a Pirate Ship."

    "Yeah? Better than here, right?"

    "...Solid Logic."

The two of them got out of their cell and heads out. On the way, Johnnathan finds more and more cells with more people trapped inside that he free by cutting the bars with ease.

"Well that's might be about it." Said Johnnathan. "Now to ensure all goes according to plan..."

At the center of the prison, several Rogues were discussing with each other.

"Have anyone seen news from Johnson? He was supossed to get the chips. We are chipless!"

"Isn't he on guard duty at the West Wing?"

"But it was supossed to have ended 10 minutes ago."

"Maybe someone need to look after him-"

One of them is cut in four pieces in a single strike revealed to be Johnnathan who sneaked behind them.

    "What the?!"

    "He appeared out of nohwhere!"

    "Ah! Ghost!"

"....Not quite." Said Johnnathan as he covers his swords in a dark aura.

    "A Hybrid?! Everyone take caution!"

The Rogues summons swords and attacks Johnnathan in every direction, but he dodges and deflects all of the attacks, piercing his foes one by one in their vulnerable spots with his swords, turning them into dust.

"...I guess that's it." Said Johnnathan as he sheats his swords. He tries to exits through where he came but suddenly stops.

"Hold on...Neither one of them looked like a captain."

Then another Rogue appeared by breaking through a wall carrying a large spear with him.

"Oh? Spared me the time to find you." Said Johnnathan.

"Are you the little runt that stole our treasure?!" Said the Captain.

"I am a Pirate. It's what we do, right?"

"Then I will take your life!"

The Captain strikes with his spear that Johnnathan blocks with his swords.

"Good luck with that." Responded Johnnathan as he pushes back the Captain.

    "Urgh! Lucky shot!"

The Captain starts swinging his spear at Johnnathan, but Johnnathan manages to look after every single one of his attacks.

"You pesky half-breed! Why don't you just stop and let me kill you since you aren't even trying?!"

    "...Alright. Fair enough."

Johnnathan stops and cross his arms as the Captain swing his weapon at him, leaving a whole fissure where he attacked. But there was no one in the attack range.

"Huh? Did I striked so hard that he turned into atomic dust?"

"Nope." Said Johnnathan as he was standing on the spear with his arms bending the swords to his left. "You had lost. RED SPIRAL!"

He shoots a black spiral beam from the swing of both his swords and totally pierces the Captain's head, turning him into ashes later.

"Bah! These captains are all talk." Said Johnnathan that picked up a cigarette and a lighter. He tries to light it, but has difficulites. "Tch! Stupid rain. Why does it have to be so wet?!"

"Here." Said a man that just appeared with a black and red flame coming out of his thumb. He had a black turban with a large cloth at the end and a black robe above his shoulders concealing his torso and mouth. In his hands he carried a snake-shaped staff. And one of his eyes was red like Johnnathan.

"...Where did you came from, Aladdin?" Said Johnnathan as he lights the cigar.

"Did you forget I can teleport?" Said Aladdin.

"Yeah. But it's aways like out of nowhere." Responded Johnnathan as he starts smoking.

"You know, Rogue Captain's might be child's play, but this junk on your mouth is like Raven himself compared to them." Said Aladdin.

"This will not kill me before I kill him." Said Johnnathan. "Besides, Hybrids like us can handle those better than anyone."

"It's still one day less of your life." Said Aladdin. "Anyway, Nikolai already put the bombs. This place will blow in less than a minute."

"I see. Let's get out of here."

Aladdin then fades away in a magic circle he created, leavign Johnnathan alone.

"...Al? Buddy? You there?" Johnnathan kept asking while looking around. "This isn't funny, Al!"

Suddenly a magic circle appear around him and he disappears just before the building starts to explode. Outside of the prison, there was a large heavy-armoured black ship. It was the Vitoria, the ship of the Black Demon. In the deck, Aladdin was watching the prison to explode alongside a small critter that looked like a rodent, with the size of a human child. It had tall long ears and a fluffy tail. It wore a pair of googles, green shirt and red overalls. That creature was know as a Gremlim and they were know as experts in machines.

"...We don't need to do this, you know." Said the Gremlim.

"If we don't do that, Raven would never notice, Nik." Said Aladdin.

"You Hybrids are all crazy." Said Nikolai. "Maybe the fact you are all Half Vampire isn't really why people look at your kin funny."

"And who are the ones they blame for sabotage again?"

"Tch. Asshole. By the way, where is the kid?"

    "He is coming."

Then Johnnathan magically appears right behind them.

"Damn! I thought you actually were gonna let me die." Said Johnnathan as his cigarette gets wet by the rain. "Urgh! Bloody hell! Do you hate me or something?"

"I helping you building character, kid." Said Aladdin. "That's just one of my many duties as First-Mate."

"Fine. Fine." Complained Johnnathan. "Anyway where is Drake?"

"Over there." Nikolai pointed at a ship far away that soon got destroyed. "Oh...He was fast."

Suddenly, Shadewing appeard flying towards them carrying a man wearing a black coat with a slicked back black hair carrying a large cutlass-like sword on the talons of his legs. It was Drake Highlander, also know as the Black Demon who was Johnnathan's older brother. He drops the man in the deck where he plants his face on the floor.

"Ouch! Can't you ever make me land on my feet, Shadewing?"

"That's all up to you, Drake." Said Shadewing that landed on the ship's mast.

"Urgh. Next time, I ask for Coela for a ride." Said Drake. "Where is she anyway?"

"Here!" Shouted a girl that came from the water with a large octopus in her trident. It was the same mermaid Johnnathan met 10 years ago before arriving in Zaratraz.

"Hmm? Did you just picked that in those stormy waters?" Said Johnnathan.

"Oh please. There is no water one of the Sea Rulers can't fetch a snack." Said Coela showing the victory sign.

"It wasn't the first thing she catched by the way." Said Nikolai. "She managed to catch a whole lot of Tuna earlier."

"We have a lot of guests in the ship." Said Coela. "Speaking of which, someone have to cook those babies. Now if you excuse me."

She goes inside the ship to to the kitchen.

"So? What were those?" Said Johnnathan.

"Reinforcements." Replied Drake. "Shadewing and I took care of it."

"I guess I missed the fun, huh?" Said Johnnathan.

"Come to think of it, since we were gonna blow this joint after freeing the prisoners, was it really necessary killing all of them?"

"I can't help myself. Every time I cut a Rogue like butter I feel like cutting Raven like a butter."

"Gosh, kid. You know, he killed my father as well, but I never see each Rogue like they are at fault."

"My deal with Raven is not only about our father...It's something else."

    "Something else? Okay, then."

"But is it the same with his sister you never stop thinking about it?" Said Aladdin.

"Don't pry too much on other people's pasts, Al!" Shouted Johnnathan.

"Heh! I always find funny that you found a vampire loveheart while I was gone." Said Drake. "Though the hard part was the Raven's sister part, but we can't choose family."

"I kinda get easily depressed talking about this, so...I will be all myself right there."

He goes to the border of the deck and gazes at the horizon during the storm with the rain hitting his face.

"Bah. He still didn't passed through the moody teenager phase." Said Nikolai.

"He is actually pretty mature considering the avarage of this crew." Said Aladdin.

"Leave him some space." Said Drake. "Becoming a man isn't easy. We are arriving in Mians next, as usual."

Drake leaves the deck followed by the other two later. Hours later they leave the storm and the sunny skies appeared.

Shortly after he picked another cigarette and looked at the sun in the distance.

"I hope you don't throw that in the ocean." Said Coela carrying a plate of tentacles slice. "We mermen do not like when humans dirties the sea."

"I know." Said Johnnathan. "Is this for me?"

"Sure. I putted garlic just like you love it."

    "Thanks."

He picks a handful of them and eats. Coela then lays her back on the edge of the ship and look away.

"So? When are you gonna ask anyway?" Said Coela.

    "Ask what?" Said Johnnathan.

"It has been 10 years since we met, right? When are you gonna ask me to go out to a date?"

"...You know I don't wanna upset you."

"I'm just jesting. You are far too kind for your own good"

    "Sorry about that. Really."

"Don't get too hard on yourself. But you know...Don't you think we two could work out? We could do a test for a week?"

"Would you go out with a guy that is obviously thinking about another woman?"

"Fair point. You know, I can't help but feel jealous. Thinking about a girl you didn't seen for 10 years when there is another cutie in a silver platter right next ot you? You don't see that very often...You find me pretty, right?"

"You are definetly a rare pearl."

"See? You do know what to say to a woman."

    She then pats his back.

"Hey...Cheer up, okay? I'm pretty sure she is thinking about you as well."

She then leaves with a smile on her face, but with upset eyes.

"....Where are you now anyway, Eve?"

    Chapter 2: Home.
    Hidden:

It was another avarage morning at Mians. Much has changed since 10 years ago. Not only it has been slowly expanding since Alex left, but it was fortified ever since a Blitzreignian Navy Base was built because of the rise of pirate attacks, specially from Rogues. But there was one pirate ship that could enter and leave without any problem.

Far away, the Vitoria was approaching the docks. A sailor moving some boxes set sights on the ship.

"Oh? It's Drake and Johnny. They returned soon, huh?" Said the sailor. He then addresed to the other sailors working on the cargos.

"I'm gonna do as usual, lads. Try to find a convoy just in case." Said the sailor as he went to the pier the ship was going to dock.

When the ship docked, Johnnathan covering his body in a black robe unboarded the ship alongside the prisoners that he rescued from the Rogues, all wearing robes. He then went to talk to the sailor.

"Hey, Johnny!" Greeted the sailor with a happy tone. "You came sooner than I expected! Is those all of them?"

"Yeah. More than half of them are from Drakland. Can you fetch a boat to Liampool?"

"Already went ahead on that. And the rest?"

"Let them do what they see fit? They can stay or go somewhere else."

"Fine. Take them to the Navy Base and they will see what they can do. Steven is on duty today."

"That's fine. I'm gonna jump into town for a little bit. Thanks, Roger."

Johnnathan then turns away and went to the town.

"Uhhh....Wait!" Said the desperate woman he saved earlier.

    "What is it?" Said Johnnathan.

"Why are you doing this? I thought you were gonna sell us into slaves."

"Slaves? Gimme a break. No one does that for 200 years by now. Jeez!"

He continued to walk toward town with a slight bad mood.

"...I'm pretty sure there is some underground slave trades going on." Said the man that was with the woman.

"Maybe." Said Roger. "But he is not that kind of man. Well, anyone who wants to go to Drakland, follow me."

Roger walked through the docks with a handful of survivors.

"Excuse me?" Said the woman. "Are the Red Beast and the Black Demon residents of this town?"

"Sure." Said Roger. "The father of those two did a lot for the people in this town in the past so we are kinda indebted to them. For a while they have been bringing people kidnapped by Rogues from all over the world. And the town has been slowly expanding becaus of them. I was one of you guys once."

"You mean...You were captured as well?" Said the man.

"That was a long time ago. Even some soldiers stationed at the base are owning their lives to them. I could have been a blood sucking fiend by now if they didn't appeared one day later."

"Is that why they are welcome here? Despite being pirates?"

"Well, it would be more beneficial to keep them around. And this might don't concern you guys, but try to not tell anyone about them. It might attract some unwanted attention."

Inside the town, Johnnathan was walking around in discretion and arrived next to Elma's old grocerry shop. Nearby there was a town guard standing with a spear on his hand. He passes without making any sort of contact.

"...Johnnathan, we already been through this." Said the guard. " You don't need to hide your face. Everyone knows it is you."

"Sigh. Can you please not say my name out loud, Steiner?"

"No one will try to do anything to you or your brother. Have you lost trust in humanity or something over the years?"

"Not totally. It just that isn't what an official like you shouldn't act."

    "And that concerns you because?"

"I just like how the systems are. That's all."

"Then I will just pretend this conversation never happened."

"I guess this would be for the best."

He then enter the store. There he finds Elma with moping the floor with a broom who instantly recognizes him.

"Well, if isn't little Johnny." Said Elma with a smile on her face. "Brought more people to this town? You soon will kill the tranquility of this place."

"I think it's still the same small place at the corner of Blitzreign." Said Johnnathan. "It didn't changed too much."

"I am not expecting a man that only appears once after a few months to notice."

She then picks a jar containing Ice Tea on it and pours a cup to him.

    "The always?" Said Elma.

"Gladly." Said Johnnathan as he picks the cup and gulps down in one go. "Aaaah. That hit the spot. By the way, how is Alma?"

"In Nova, as always. She is busy with her studies." Said Elma. "I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't return. In fact I have seen you more than her nowadays."

"Well, that's sucks. I wanted to have a grandparent myself."

"It is fine. I would be more at ease if she can keep walking foward by herself. At least I can die without any worries."

"You take life a little too easy, don't you think?"

"I lived far too much, dear. There is a time when we just wanna take a rest just from breathing. What happened to your father...It happened way tooo early."

    "Yeah...And too fast as well."

"You know, I haven't seen your brother at all as of lately. Even though he is always near when you appear."

"If I remember correctly you hit him in the head several times when you first met him after he decided to return."

"Is your brother that big of a wimpy to not face an elderly woman? The Black Demon sure brings shame to the name of the Red Demon."

"By the way...You always knew do you? About me....Drake....And my mother, right?"

    "....You just figured out now?"

"I had my suspicions for a while, but....I never had and still don't have any proof."

" I suposse it was just a hunch, but I confirmed with Alex after your mother died."

"And you why did you acted as if it was nothing?"

"Dear boy, take more than a human man and a vampire woman having two hybrid children to surprise me."

"You are one weird old lady."

"Every town needs a crazy old woman. Now enough about me. Tell me about you? What exactly are you looking for? Why go all the way to piss off the most dangerous man out there."

"There is something that requires me to get as close as possible to him for me to reach it."

    "Hmm....Does it involves your father?"

"Not really...But it's something that really makes me feel linked to him somehow."

Meanwhile at an unknow place in the middle of the clouds, the Deat Crow was afloat surrounded by a black body of mist all over it. Inside in a isolated room, a lone rogue vampire grunt was looking at a monitor with a radar wearing headphones.

"What the hell?" Said the rogue to himself as he notices something wrong and goes outside of his room and went to another room with a fancy-looking door.

"Lady Evelyne." Said the rogue as he knocked on the door.

A few seconds later the door seems to have opened by itself. Inside it was a huge elegant bar. Around the center there was a stand with a shelf of drinks. Drinking a chalice of wine in the front of the stand there was a purple-haired woman wearing a red and black dress with two large straps that passed through the arms exposing the shoulders and cleavage.

"Lady Evelyne?" Adressed the rogue to her.

    "Yes?" Said Evelyne.

"Sorry to disturb you, but it seems we lost another Prison Base."

"Another one? Hmm...It is already the third one for a while."

"Maybe it happened right before the sun rose. Don't you think we should make Raven know about it?"

"He is already aware that we have been losing a few bases. He has far more pressing matters to attend."

    "But...Don't you think this might-"

Before he could finish his setence, Evelyne grabs into his forehead and lifts him with one hand while drinking her wine with the other hand.

    "Argh! My skull...."

"Sigh....Listen up you little shit. Whonever is doing this is neither Blitzreign, Drakland or anything similar. It is a small bug compared to what we usually face. If they think they are hot shots for destroying one or five each year then let them think. Understand?!"

    She starts to grip stronger.

    "Aaaaaargh! Yes! Yes! Sorry!"

    "Very well!"

She tosses him outside of the bar and finishes her drink.

"Damn. Can't a woman drink in peace anymore?"

She sits down on her chair and looks at a pile of paper nearby.

"Oh, that's right. I need to check out those wanted posters."

She then picks one of them.

"Whonever did it, might be one of those pirates. It's better to know anyway."
She looks at one that it's only titled "Red Beast" with a loose drawing of Johnnathan on it.

"The Red Beast....Why does this poster seems to captivate me so much?"

    Chapter 3: Dark Lords.

    Hidden:

Inside the Death Crow, Noir was walking thorugh the several hallways until he stumbled upon a large black door. He opened the door and entered Raven's room. It was a very wide room with a large desk on the front. On the corners there were several several objects all organized and carefully displayed alongside some books. And a large pod in the shape of a coffin was open showing signals of being opened recently by the steam being leaked.

Next to the desk, Raven was fixated on a book he was reading. He had a worn out black coat in the front of his desk.

"Brother." Said Noir addresing to Raven. "It is time."

"Oh?" Said Raven. "So they didn't even tried to leave a scratch, huh? Well then."

Raven then putted down the book and picked up his coat.

"Why do you always read that book? What is it?" Said Noir.

"Things that you already know about the Immortal Age." Said Raven as the two of them were leaving the room. "For a long time I have been thinking how it was the world before my grandmother died you know. The more I think about it, I really wished I was there. Because the world I experience was so damn booooring. And I hate being bored."

"Do you really think that? The Crusades just happened after our father ascended the throne."

"Yeah? But it was only against Humans, right? How cool it would be if we had Fire Demons or Dragons? Heck! Toss some Fairies into the fray. The more the better."

"Speaking of which, are you sure it was wise to invite them? The 2 other Dark Lords?"

"Oh please. We are seven and they are only two. Besides one of us is me. Also, I really don't want you to sound like I am in the same rank as them, okay?"

"You could at least act that you are in the same rank as them."

Raven is hit by some sort of invisible force as if he was being punched in the face that he seemed to be unfazed by it.

"Are you understimating me?" Said Raven.

"No. I'm playing smart with you." Replied Noir.

"You are making jokes now? Now that's a surprise."

Raven and Noir arrives on another hallway and finds the rest of their siblings except for Nightmare.

"Yo! Raven!" Said Chill, who was small as ever and jumped on top of his head and faced him with his head upside down. "So?! So?! So?! What are we gonna do?! Roast them?! Boil them?! Lets' eat them raw! Keehehehehehe!"

"Hey, chill out." Said Raven as he picked Chill and holded him like a puppy. "You know that you can't eat anyone you invite to your house. Only cowards do that."

"But...I so wanna taste a Dragon so baaaaaad! Keeehehehe!"

"But Chill, you ate a dragon just a while ago." Said Evening.

"Huh? I did it? Hnnnngh....Oh! Yeah, I did." Said Chill. "But a Draconian on the other hand....Keehehe...Keeeeehehehehe!"

Chill starts to salivate some green fluid that wet Raven's arms.

"Urgh. Gross." Said Raven as he tossed him away into Blanc's head.

"Hey! Get off!" Said Blanc as he was trying to get Chill out of his head.

"Hey, play nice you two." Said Moonlight as she followed Raven and the rest to the meeting room.

After walking through the corridors in the ship, they stumble upon a large black door.

"Finally, we are here." Said Raven in a tired tone. "Damn, this ship is huge. After 10 years, it still feel like a maze."

"You know, we could always fly around." Said Noir.

"That takes too much energy. Besides we aren't in a hurry anyway."

Raven opens the door and it was another wide room. It had a round table surrounded by four large red sofas. In one of them, sat a man with a long white hair with pointy ears and features like scales in his skin wearing a black armor and a white cape over his shoulders. In the sofa in front of him had a young-looking woman with a long straight red hair with fox ears and she wore a blue kimono. And on the sofa in between them had Nightmare sitting on it in a sleeping state.

"Well then! Sorry for the late!" Greeted Raven as he and his siblings turned into mist and warped to the empty sofa. "Now then...Lord of Dragons Tiamat and Lord of Kitsunes Ninetails....Thanks for coming over to my humble ship. It's not every time the 3 Dark Lords are in the same place isn't it? But first..."

He claps his hands twice and two female rogues appears each one carrying a plate. One put a plate with Miso Soup to Ninetails and a Roasted Snake to Tiamat.

"How about a feast first?" Said Raven with a smiling face.

"...Did you came here too far to poison us?" Said Tiamat, glaring at them.

"Oh please. If I wanted to do such cheap tactics I would have done years ago. Besides, it's not like there are any poison strong enough to kill you or even hinder you, isn't it?" Said Raven.

"I have been listening to some nasty rumours...About the youngest of yours." Said Ninetails.

"....Blanc?" Said Chill as he pointed out to Blanc.

"She is talking about you, shithead." Said Blanc.

"He is technically not wrong." Said Moonlight.

"What do you mean by that, bitch?!" Shouted Blanc.

"Tch! Foolishnes." Said Ninetails as she tasted the soup.

"Hmm....It is actually quite alright." Said Nintails. "I never thought I would taste such a dish outside of Izumo."
"What can I say?" Said Raven. "There are people from so many places here."

Tiamat then opened the snake with his nails and ate some of the flesh.

"This snake...A Purple Boa. The favourite of all the dragons." Said Tiamat. "But it's not enough to please me, Corvus."

"I am not trying to buy you with a mere dish." Said Raven. "And please, Raven. I discarded Corvus ages ago."

"Then out of it." Said Ninetails. "Being on the same room with the Dragon Lord in the Vampire Lord's ship is just enough to get me a little anxious. Specially with this behemot nearby."

She changes his view to Nightmare near them.

"If it wasn't from this juggernaut, I would have tested my strenght with the lady here." Said Tiamat. "But I have to admit, the sheer pressure his dormant body is emmiting is enough to have myself to keep my guard. The tales of his deeds might be...No, it certainly are true. He would be a fearsome foe indeed."

"Well, he doesn't need to be." Said Raven. "I guess we all could be...you know. Best pals?"

"Are you proposing an alliance?" Said Ninetails. "Why would we work alongside an anarchist like you?"

"Huh? What's that?" Asked Raven. "Aren't both of you also anarchists?"

"We are not savages like you." Said Tiamat. "If anything, our actions have causes behind them."

"Tch! How dare them!" Said Moonlight. "Badmouthing our elder brother right in front of him!"

"If anything, he is taking those as compliments." Said Noir.

"Well, pointing fingers aside it seems there was a misunderstanding here." Said Raven. "I am not talking about an alliance here. It's more like...a service."

"What do you mean by that?" Said Tiamat.

"Look, I've seen you two have similar issues. You want to kill humans. And she also wants to kill humans. And I like the general idea of killing. Homicide, genocide or even ostrichicide, I just love all those "cides". So how about this? You give me something I want and I might deploy some of my forces to help you."

"You mean like a Mercenary Group?" Said Ninetails.

"...You can say that, yes." Said Raven.

"And what do you want in exchange?" Said Tiamat.

"Weeeell....You two have something I want." Said Raven. "The Darkness Key and the Spirit Key. Those two things."

"...Excuse me?" Said Ninetails who gave Raven a cold dead gaze. "That Spirit Key has been on my clan's protection from way before you were biting on your mother's breasts. Why do you think I should give it to you?"

"And I stole the Darkness Key fair and square." Said Tiamat.

"Of course, of course." Said Raven. "I just saying...that instead of having something I REALLY want on your possessions...I thought it would be better if I done something to you guys instead of...taking them by force. I mean, with all the problems you guys have, a bunch of psychotic magic bloodsuckers is the leastest thing you all want. Besides, don't you all have better goals in life other than guarding an useless key or hanging it out like a hunting trophy? I mean come on...What is good dweeling in the past? Specially from thousands of years?"

"...What do you thinking with those keys?" Said Ninetails.

"Nothing much different from what I have been doing recently. And I can secure that it will not bother you. Well, at least not as much as Amaterasu is doing to you."

"...If I give you the key, would you destroy Amaterasu?"

"I wouldn't do all the work."

"Only the support would be appreciated."

"....Are we making a deal here? I lost track of it."

    "Yes. We are."

"Huh....That went easier then I expected."

"But....I will only give you the key after Amaterasu is done for it."

    "Seems fair."

"So you really are gonna do it, Ninetails?" Said Tiamat.

"If it means lose less time and resources then it is the most logical outcome." Said Ninetails.

"When you put like that I can see the reason."

"By the way, don't you have any interest on some Rogue Services my dear Tiamat?" Said Raven.

"Your rogues may be useful for warfare, but not good for scorching the world." Said Tiamat.

    "...What are the difference, anyway?"

"But there is one thing that interests me. Who is this beautiful creature I lay my eyes upon." Said Tiamat as he looks at Evening.

"Hmm? Me?" Asked Evening after looking around.

"Yes." Responded Tiamat as he started walking toward her and the kneel in front of her. "I always thought a Crystal Ocean Dragon was the pinaccle of beauty, but here I am standing in front of you without any words."

"Uuuuh....Thanks? I mean it's the first time someone compared me to a dragon, but...thanks anyway."

"I think it's the first time someone ever compared someone's beauty to a dragon." Said Blanc.

"I don't know what is happening here, but.." Said Raven. "She is Evening. My young sister."

"I see...Very well then, Raven." Said Tiamat. "I'll give you the Darkness Key...If you let me marry your sister."

"HUH?!" Said everyone else in unision.

"I would...give her all my love." Said Tiamat as he licked her hand with a reptile tongue.

Later, Noir appears behind him with one of his sharp metal fingers under his neck.

"What is the meaning of this?" Said Tiamat.

"You disappoint me." Said Noir. "We invite you over our home and you not only you set your desired eyes at my sister, but you dare lick her hand with your dirty tongue. I should kill you just for that."

"Wait, Noir." Said Evening as she slaps Tiamat in the face so hard that knocks him down. "I can defend myself."

"Hahahahaha! Way to go, Eve!" Said Moonlight. "He is no worthy for you!"

"Hehehehe...Interesting." Said Tiamat as he was slowly standing and his hair turned red with a spiky pattern and his whole body started to look like an anthropomorphic dragon with clear red eyes. "You are certainly my type!"

He tries to advances at her, but Ninetails quickly appears right next to him with a fan covered in blue fire blocking him from Evening.

"Oh? She is kind of fast." Said Raven looking a bit lax.

"You better stop." Said Ninetails. "I had the feeling that giant over there moved an inch or something."

The two of them look at Nightmare and felt a strange pressure from him.

"....Very well then." Said Tiamat as he reverts to his humanoid form. "It seems I don't have any reason to be here. But I do wish to keep contact."

"Keehehehe. So you aren't thinking on give me the Darkness Key, huh?" Said Raven.

"I did gave my proposal already. It's all up to you."

"The lady already gave her answer. And even if she didn't that would still be a problem. You see...My siblings are that one thing that I cannot replace it. I wouldn't be giving them that easily you know."

"I see. But...It's still her life and her choice. And those are all up to her in the end."

Tiamat then starts to leave the place.

"We will...meet again." Said Tiamat as he fades away.

"Oh boy. That was something." Said Raven. "At least we have a deal now, don't we Ninetails."

"Precisely." Said Ninetails. "Shall we contact each other another day?"

"Sure. I will leave Evening as our envoy. Is that okay with you, Eve?"

    "Precisely." Said Evening.

"Alright then. I'll keep in check." Said Ninetails as she leaves the ship as well.

"....Are you sure about that?" Said Noir. "We managed to get on Ninetail's good side, but it is still any reason to let Tiamat go?"

"That's fine." Said Raven. "I do want to live in a world where that guy lives more for a while."

"But I guess we have to get the Key by force, huh?" Said Blanc.

"Most likely...But the Key wouldn't go anywhere." Said Raven. "We can just stand still and wait for something to happen. Perhaps a perferct opportunity rises."

On the deck of the ship, Tiamat arrived and went straight to the Bow.

"Draconians...Those who Rules The Dragons." Said Ninetails who just appeared as well. "If I remember correctly, you are the last one of your kin, isn't it?"

"What is your point?" Asked Tiamat.

"I've been wondering...Dragons can breed into entirely new species thanks for their diversity...But a Draconian like you...What would happen if you crossed with a Vampire?"

"...Heh. Do you want to find out?"

    "...No. Not really."

Tiamat then sprout wings from his back and flies away.

"I wonder if I did the right thing today....No. There is no going back. I hope you can forgive me...Akechi."

    Chapter 4: Storm Islands.

    Hidden:

Arounf the Southwest part of the world there was a small set of islands in shallow waters. In the past, pirates used those islands as resting places and outpost until they turned into a small republic. The place would then be know as Hurricane Port where it would filled with taverns and merchants, most of them part of the black market.

Despite it's name it was hardly a place know for bad weather. The real storm was the several pirates that appears everyday. For them it was paradise. Only if you were strong enough to stand your feet, of course.

Inside one tavern named Snake Eyes, Drake was drinking and discussing with some other pirates.

"Now let me tell you something!" Said Drake. "My father worked 2 years in a horse stable in Drakland and I can say for certain there is no way a Dodiche can outspeed a Horse!"

"Oh yeah?! And Horses can't run for too long!" Shouted one of the pirates.

"We are discussin who is faster! Not who can survive pulling a trolley here!"

As Drake keeps getting drunk and shouting like a savage, Johnnathan is in the tavern's stand with a mug of beer still full.

"Urgh. There he goes again with the Horses and Dodiches." Said Johnnathan as he avoids turning over to see him.

"It makes sense, actually." Said a woman with a long green straight hair with pulled eyes like of a snake's that was the tavern's owner. "By the next day none of them will remember this discussion."

"Whatever you say, Viper." Said Johnnathan as he drinks his mug of beer and puts back on the table with a disgusted look. "Blergh. Sour."

"You know, you don't really need to ask for a beer just to enter here. Go ahead and drink an iced tea." Said Viper as he poured him a cup.

"I have a reputation to hold...Two in fact."

"Give me a break. No one here cares about reputation. And your brother's reputation is his own problem. Relax and enjoy it, will ya kid?"

"Well...as long as I get this awful taste off my mouth." Said Johnnathan as he drinks his tea.

"You know, you might be the weirdest pirate I ever seen."

    "What do you mean?"

"Well, you aren't the type to come here and waste yourself until you awake in a stye. Though at first you were very energetic even though you barely drank a mug of booze."

"I guess this lifestyle is just not as fun as it was. I'm getting tired of it."

"Excuse me? I thought Drake was the older brother."

"To be fair, we started being pirates a bit too early."

"It is never too early to set sail. Are you even trying to enjoy life?"

"Well, I....It just there has been too much in my head."

"Considering you are the only pirates I know that pick fights with Raven I am not surprised. By the way, do you wanna hear something...interesting?" Said Viper as she puts her elbows in the balcony and supports her chin with her backhand.

    "What is it?"

"I've been hearing things about you. Good things."

    "From who?"

    "Ladies. Beautiful Ladies."

She points her finger to a table that had two young women looking at Johnnathan. He looks at they and the two ladies avert their eyes and giggles.

"I didn't knew there were other women here besides you."

"Anyway, you have quite the reputation among the females here. They call you "That Charming Prince in Red that hangs out with The Black Demon."

"What kind of things they say about anyway?"

"How they wish you would kidnap to take to a faraway island to live the rest of their lives. That kind of deal. Honestly if I was 10 years younger I would wish the same."

"And are you telling me this because?"

"I am just saying that you are't enjoyinh your life. You are a Hybrid so you age slower than an avarage human. In other words you are gonna be young for a little more. You shouldn't waste it by killing a few Rogues out there."

"So your idea is for me to ask those ladies out?"

"That's a start for once. But I have a far better one. All you need to do is tell me which one picks your interest and I can hook her up with you. I bet they will accept without a second thought if you are the man in question. There is a fresh room upstairs ready to be useeeed."

"...I am really not in the mood right now."

"Huh? Could it be you swing that way?"

"Of course not. It just...There is already one."

    "Oh....Oh! Is it that mermaid?"

"Coela? No. It's someone I met when I was really young?"

"Was it by any chance some vampire that your brother told me while he was drunk?"

    "...So you knew after all?"

"I thought she was just that good lifelong friend that wasn't quite a girlfriend, but now it appears the issue is way deeper than I thought."

"Yes. It has been 10 years since I ever seen her."

"You think she is still around? If I rememember correctly the vampires, as in old vampires are all dead."

"I think she is still around somewhere."

"And that is the whole reason why you don't want to sleep with any other girl?"

"It's not easy. I would be a big fat liar if I said I didn't wanted to share a bed with Coela. In fact I do get easily disturbed next to a pretty girl."

"Who knew the Red Beast is such a softie, huh?"

"If you are gonna mock me go ahead. I don't care."

"Nah. I respect those actions despite they being a little foolish. But seriously, are you sure about this? It's not like she would even know about it."

"I think I really need some more time."

"You know who you can talk if you change your mind."

"Now changing the subject, can you prepare me a Toxic Stew? while I wait outside"

"I don't mind, but why are gonna go outside?"

"Because I need a smoke and this is a no smoke zone."

He goes outside with a cigarette in hand.

"...That boy has more problems that he should have."

Outside of the tavern, Johnnathan lighted his cigarette and then started to rain.

    "Oh, bloody hell."

He hides from the rain under the ledge of a ceiling.

"Not even here can I smoke in peace can't I?"

While Johnnathan was waiting he spotted a firgure in the distance laying on the sand.

"Is that...Someone I don't know unconscious on the beach?"

He then looked the other way.

"....Argh! Bloody hell. Even my mother wouldn't want me to ignore that."

He drops his cigarette and goes to examine the unknow figure.

    "Hey! Are you....Huh?"

He notices he was wearing an uniform from the Drakland's Navy.

"A Drakland Soldier? Hey! Wake up!"

    "They....Are coming..." Said the soldier.

"Huh? Who are they?" Asked Johnnathan.

    "In Liampool....The Rogues are coming..."

    "Rogues?"

    "The Death Crow....Is coming....Urgh!"

    The soldier then dies.

    "The Death Crow..."

"Johnny?" Said Shadewing who just appeared.

    "Who is this?"

    "...An unfortunate victim."

    "Oh....It wasn't you, wasn't it?"

"Of course not. Can you pass a message to Viper for me?"

    "Okay. What is it?"

    "Put that Stew for Travel."

    Chapter 5: Liampool.

    Hidden:

Inside the Vitoria, Johnnathan was talking with Aladdin and Nikolai in the dining room.

"...You want to take the Dolphin for what?" Said Nikolai.

"Look. It's an emergency, okay? Coela's birthday is around the corner and I need to buy a gift." Said Johnnathan.

"Her birthday is just next month." Said Aladdin.

"A month is basically tomorrow." Said Johnnathan. "And what if something bad happens and I can't get in time? Besides, isn't time for looking for those Spiced Peanuts you like?"

"Why nowhere else can I find a peanut spiced right? Fine then." Said Aladdin. "You are free to go."

"Thanks, First-Mate!" Said Johnnathan as he saluted him and left.

"Now that was out of nowhere." Commented Nikolai. "I mean, ever since those two met, Johnny never bothered in giving Coela a gift. And the only thing Coela wants from him it's his lips touching her's."

"Hmm...There is something going on here..." Said Aladdin as he walked outside and saw Coela. "Coela, a minute please?"

"Huh? What is it, Al?" Said Coela in confusion.

A hidden door opened at the Vitoria's right side and Johnnathan left on a small blue motorboat.

"Everyone will want me dead after this." Said Johnnathan as he covered his hand in a dark aura and the boat's engine rose the speed.

Meanwhile, at Liampool, the large coastal city of Drakland, things were going as usual as every day in the port. A regular worker at the docks was looking after some stored loot when he notices something from far away in the horizon. It was a black fog coming closer like a galleon. The worker snaps out and run straight to a nearby watchtower where he yells at soldier.

    "Rogues are coming!"

The guard then immediately rush to the black bell at the top of the tower and rang 3 times. When the bells were rung, the entire port went frenzy and the people started to evacuate.

Inside the black fog, the Death Crow advanced with Raven, his siblings and his Rogue Armada were on the deck. Raven was with his hand next to his ear trying to hear the bell.

"And one...And two...And three! I love it." Said Raven while appreciating the sound of the bell.

"It has been five years since the last time." Said Noir. "If you like so much, why don't you come here more often?"

"Because this sensation is best served cold."

"Why does they ring that bell three times again?" Asked Moonlight.

"One means Pirates. Two means Dragons. And three means Rogues." Said Noir. "It has been like that ever since we attacked for the first time. Until now, it was only for Dragons."

"If that means this put me above Tiamat, I'm all in!" Said Raven. "Alright boys! Let's do what we always have done! And for the those who are here for the first time...Just act naturally!"

The grunts started to shout a war cry that echoed through the sea.

"I don't very fond of this, honestly." Said Noir. "I am not against a full frontal assault, but a vampire worthy of his pride would never show a signal of an attack like a shark's fin."

"Meh. I'm okay with this." Said Blanc. "If it means they would get ready for us, then it's more of a challenge."

"I wouldn't be surprised if you would be the first of us to bite the dust with your reckless personality. You Loose Cannon."

"What?! If I were to die someday, it would be the last one before Raven and Nightmare, you punk! Besides, I am not a loose cannon! I have total control in a fight."

"Nope. You are a loose cannon." Said Raven.

    "What Noir said." Said Moonlight.

"Loose Cannon is pretty much your middle name, Blanc." Said Evening.

"Keehehehe...You are like the Loose King of Cannon Country." Said Chill while he was muching an anchor.

"C-Come on! I can't be worse than Nightmare!"

"You certainly aren't better either." Said Noir that after he spoke, an invisible force stroke Blanc like if he was punched in the face.

"Speaking of which...I think it's about time, isn't it lil'bro?" Spoke Raven as he fixed his eyes into the sleeping body of Nightmare.

Soon a dark red aura started to cover his body and the eyes from the helmet glowed red. Slowly he standed on his feet and walked towards the bow of the ship.

"Hey little brother." Said Raven. "Try to go easy this time, will ya?"

Nightmare responded by looking at Raven and tilting his head to the sides, as if he was meaning "no". He then turns into a cloud of mist and flied towards Liampool.

"Welp. I tried." Said Raven as he picked a pocket watch. "I guess five minutes should be enough. Everyone standing by until now."

"No! Come on, brother!" Shouted Chill as he landed on top of Raven's right shoulder, looking at the city salivating. "If we let Nightmare fight for too long, there wouldn't be anymore left! Keehehehe....I can smell it...The fear and anguish...It's make my stomach rage with hunger....It's like one of those all-you-can-eat buffets! The goood ones, I mean. Keehehe...Keeeehehehehe!"

    "Alright, jeez. Two minutes then."

Meanwhile, Evening was looking at the city with anxiety in her face.

"Something wrong, Eve?" Said Moonlight who noticed her being upset.

"it's nothing, just...It's kind of upsetting that our brother, Nightmare seems to be devoid of any sort of emotion." Replied Evening. "Almost with no will at all."

"Huh? But wasn't he always like that?"

"I guess? I mean, at least he was a bit more active."

"I'm afraid you misunderstand our brother, Eve." Said Noir with his eyes still fixed on what is in front of him. "Nightmare still carries a will of his own. The difference is that he took a path in his life."

    "A path?" Asked Evening.

"The Warrior's Path." Said Noir. "A Path that his mother, Diamanta guided him through the centuries of his life."

"And just what is the Warrior's Path?"

"It's a never ending road of fight and strife." Said Raven. "Nightmare isn't that different from Magnus after all. The actions he takes when awakened are his own choices. He doesn't need a reason to fight. Because he is a Warrior."

"Well, that's weird." Said Moonlight. "Why isn't Blanc like that as well?"

"Oh. It's just because his mother already gave up on him because of him being a Lower Vampire."

"Tch! Damnit, Raven." Said Blanc. "At least leave the roasting to Noir."

A little while later, several soldiers from Drakland started to rush to the docks.

"Alright men!" Said the captain. "That's what we all been training for. Take positon and-"

Out of nowhere, Nightmare appears from above, crushing the captain dead on his feet.

"C-Captain!" Shouted a soldier that was quickly taken down by Nightmare with a single punch.

"It's a Code Nightmare! Someone quickle call reinforcements!"

Somewhere else in the city in the left corner, another squad were advancing towards the area that Nightmare attacked.

"Everybody keep their Darkanium Weapons ready! If its a Code Nightmare, attack with no hesitation!"

Then out of nowhere, Chill appears from an alley and ate a whole soldier with one bite.

"Huh? What happened?" Said a confused soldier that Chill catched with a long tongue like a lizard and gulped down.

"Goodness...It's...The Dark Devourer..." Said a paniced soldier that fell to his knees.

    "Ooooh...Darkanium...My favourite metal!"

Chill get's ecstatic and leaps to the soldiers with a large mouth open.

Meanwhile at the port, several Rogues appeared and started to kill the people without being hesitant and destroy the surroundings. Later on gunshots were fired at them that pierced through their bodies and a lot of them were neutralized.

"Keep shooting! Don't let them have anytime to react!" Said the leader of an artillery infranty in the area. "Huh? What's that?"

Evening was walking towards them spinning a chain on her hand.

"Darkanium Guns." Said Evening. "How annoying."

"She is....Beautiful." Said a soldier that was mesmerized.

"Not now, private! Shoot at her! That woman is one of the Raven Sisters, The Violet Princess!"

They started to shoot dark energy bullets, but Evening summons another chain and deflect all shots with movements similar to a dance and finishes by swinging one of her chains at the face of squad leader, taking out one of his eyes.

    "Gah! My eye!"

With the surprise of the situation she summons several chains and immobilizes the entire squad with one hand.

"We can do this the hard way or the easy way. I recommend the easy one." Said Evening looking down on them with a cold gaze.

"It seems the situation is under control." Said Noir who just appeared. "But what are you planning to do with those?"

"Bring to the ship. What else?"

"Don't we already have people to do that?"

    "And do you trust them?"

"Good point. But as far as I know we aren't short of those jerks."

"As tough as they look, they die quite easily."

    "If you say so...."

Noir slowly walks forwards and stops for a second.

    "...Don't leave this area, okay?"

Noir started to run like the wind around the street. Soon he arrives at a plaze that seemed empty.

"I know you are all here." He said. "Face me on. Only one vampire is no much for you lot, right?"

Then several people appeared out of nowhere wearing black military uniforms with a silver pin of a wolf's head in their right bosom. Then the soldiers transformed into anthropomorphic wolves right away.

"Werewolf Squad Omega. I'll keep you all busy."

Somewhere else, Blanc was sitting over a pile of bodies full of swords and arrows piercing his body including one piercing through his forehead. He looked bored and uninterested. A nearby soldier fallen to the ground looked at him.

"So that's him...The rumoured Raging Ghost...So he does exists." He thought before passing out.

"You are still here, huh?" Said Moonlight that just appeared looking at the bodies below them. "You always look like shit after this. Can't you be a little clean like Noir?"

    "Fuck off." Replied Blanc.

"I guess once a Lower Vampire always a lower. By the way..."

She tosses a dagger right into a thin line on a wall that hits a escaping soldier's eye hiding on the building.

    "You missed one."

    "Fuck you!"

Then more ahead on the city Raven was standing in the middle of nowhere, whistling and looking at the sky. Later he puts his sword behind his neck and blocks a bullet that was about to hit his head's back.

    "General Walther...What a pleasure."

A man with a large black coat and hat, wielding a colt pistol in his right hand with a black saber on his side standed right in front of Raven with a colt pistol pointed at him.

"When I heard the word that a whole fleet went missing I charged right away." Said Walther. "Even though I expected this, I am still shocked of how you made a bigger mess than last time."

"What can I say? It's part of my charm. And are we actuall gonna do One-on-One here?"

    "Think again."

Walther snapped his fingers and a zeppelin appeared on thin air above him.

"A Camouflage device. How cute. What can it do? Shoot lightining bolts?" Said Raven.

Then a bunch of people in black cloacks jumped from the zeppelin. They removed their cloacks and turned into Werewolves.

"Ooooh. The Werewolf Squad Alpha....Now you are taking me serious."

He snaps his finger and several Rogues appeared behind him.

"Not that I am afraid, but I need my boys to get a little action as well." Said Raven. "I hope you can entertain me enough, Walty."

Meanwhile back at the docks, the Rogues were gathering captive soldiers being restrained with chains.

"So are you really sure we can't at least eat one of them?"

"Lady Evening said that she wants them alive. And yes, she responded with that cold dark look she usually does."

"Damn, she is hot when she does that. And also-"

The speaking Rogue is interrupted because he was cut in four pieces by the strike of two swords. As his body disappears it was revealed to be Johnnathan.

    "Oh shit! He killed Donny!"

Johnnathan finishes by swiftly killing the other rogue.

"Who...are you?" Said one of the soldiers.

"Don't ask questions you don't wanna know the answer."

Johnnathan cuts the chains and releases the soldiers.

"Now tell me." Said Johnnathan. "Where are the rogues?"

    "....Everywhere, actually."

On another part of the port, Evening was watching the sea with the black fog being seen at a distance.

"All that black...Is so devoid of hope." She thought. "Is there anything I can do at all?"

    "M-Milady!"

A wounded rogue appeared before her.

"We...Have an assaulter...It's the Red Beast!"

"The Red Beast?" Said Evening. "...I'll go check it."

She went through the docks running through the buildings trying to get a view of some noticeable rampage. Soon she finds a nasty fight far away.

    "Is it there? Let's see."

She flies nearby the area and sees a brawl. A lot of Rogues ganging against one foe.

"Someone is fighting those many...It's most likely a Hybrid..." She thought herself while watching it from behind a pile of barrels.

After a while she gets a better glimpse of the situation and for her surprise she sees Johnnathan blocking an attack from behind by putting his sword behind his neck and counter the rogue by slicing his neck.

"That's...It couldn't be..." She thought while deeply watching it.

Johnnathan then procceded by dodging an attack and sneaking behind the enemy and he impales the rogue with both of his swords, lifting him and cutting in two.

"Oh my..." Said Evening watching in awe with a blushed face and her eyes sparkling.

Johnnathan then continued to fight by cutting the last standing rogue's arm and then stepping on his torso and decapitates him doing a backflip and landing perfectly on his feet.

"Amazing..." Whispered Evening with her hands covering her mouth and admiring Johnnathan from afar.

"I guess that's it from here." Said Johnnathan as he sheated his swords. "Maybe more inside the city."

He then ran towards the city and jumped into a pile of rocks and rumble on the ground and climbing to the roofs.

"Ah! Wait!" Shouted Evening that flied towards him.

"Huh? Did someone said something?" Said Johnnathan who stopped jumping through the roofs to listen to the enviroment.

Later on Evening appears a few meters away in front of Johnnathan.

"A Rogue?" Said Johnnathan. "A bit different from the others...Wait a minute.."

"You...Are you by any chance, Johnnathan Highlander?" Said Evening.

"Hold on..." Said Johnnathan with a surprised look. "Evelyne?"

"Ah! It is you!" Shouted Evening with tears coming out of her eyes and leaping towards Johnnathan. "I've finally found you!!!"

"Bloody hell!" Shouted Johnnathan as Evelyne tackles him into the floor.

"Heehehehe! You smell just like the same." Said Evelyne as she was cuddling on Johnnathan.

"Okay! Okay! I'm convinced! You are Eve. You changed nothing."

"Nothing?!" Said Evening as she lifted her head and looked at Johnnathan still laying on him. "How could you say that? Can't you see I have a real woman's body now? At least that what my sister says."

"Uh...Yeah. I mean...I didn't mean like that." Said Johnnathan as he was staring at her bosom and quickly averted his eyes. "Anyway, what are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you this. The place is like a warzone...Could it be you were around when we arrived?"

    "Yeah. You could say that."

"If that's so...This is great! That means you could join Raven's crew!"

    "What?"

"You don't have a Hybrid in our ranks, so he would totally welcome you. And we could totally be together now!"

"...Is Raven somehow here as well?"

"Yup. About further in the city."

"I see. Take me to him."

    "...Johnny, what are your intentions?"

    "What do you mean?"

"Right now you weren't enthusiasmatic...You sounded like...Someone with the intent to kill."

    "...Ah, screw it!"

Johnnathan grabbed Evening's arms and rolled her, laying on top of her.

    "Ah! H-Hey, please be gentle."

"Eve...The only thing from your brother is his ass kicked. Now take me to him."

"Huh? B-But you would be killed!"

    "...We'll see about that."

"Yooohooo! Eeeeve! Are you there?" Said Moonlight that just appeared nearby. "Oh! There you are! You weren't in the docks so I went to..."

She sees the scene with Johnnathan standing on top of Evening. Her eyes turned dark and sadistic and she continued to smile.

"You filthy...What are you doing on top of my little sister like this?" Said Moonlight summoning five daggers on her hand.

    "Oh, bloody hell..."

At the docks, several other Rogues just came from the Death Crow far away and looked around a but confused.

"Are those new recruits kind of lazy? Usually things are more...messy than this."

"Probably finished moping this place fast and went further into the city. So maybe we should-"

Then a fist made of water appears on thin air and punches one rogue and sent him flying.

"Oh my Raven! What was that?!"

"Excuse me." Said Coela who just appeared wielding two tridents. "Has anyone seen a good-looking fellow with a red jacket and a red eye?"

    "Did she done that?"

    "Is she a Mermaid?"

    "But she has legs."

    "She can grow with magic."

Coela then cuts one of them in half.

"It's a bit ride to ignore a lady, you know." Said Coela.

"Hey! At least threat us before attacking!"

"The only ones I don't hold back are Rogues...and about 200 different marine species."

She summons a large wave from the sea and washes away the rogues.

"Good thing there aren't too many of them. Now where are you Johnny?"

    Then several other rogues appeared.

"Urgh! They are more stubborn than octopuses...Hate them."

Meanwhile, Johnnathan was jumping through the rooftops with Moonlight chasing after him throwing daggers as if they were steel spears, piercing the building with ease.

"Come back hereyou creepy scumbag!" Shouted Moonlight.

"Can't believe I was called creepy and a scumbag by a Rogue." Said Johnnathan as he was entering several buildings to escape her. "It's the first time I had to retreat like this. It's almost like that woman is everywhere. Your sister is scary as hell, Eve."

"Where are yoooou?" Said Moonlight looking through the buildings.

"Sister! Stop!" Said Evening who appeared behind her. "It's not what you thinking! He wasn't assaulting me!"

"But he touched you...With his hands. That's a crime punished by death!" Said Moonlight still looking for Johnnathan until she spots him miles away. "Found you!"

She turns into mist and flies at his direction appearing right above him.

"Bullseye!" She tosses daggers at all directions surrounding Johnnathan.

"Huh...You missed." Said Johnnathan as he notices the daggers floating around him and soons point at him.

"Swarm!" Moonlight waves her arms and crosses them making the daggers all fly towards him.

"Bloody hell." Said Johnnathan as he picks his swords and swings them around deflecting the daggers as if he had a shield of swords around him.

"Oh. You are pretty good." Said Moonlight as she summons five daggers on each hand and wields them like claws. "It's my first time facing a Hybrid. I always wanted to tire someone until exhaustion so I could finish them off. Be pleased to be the first!"

Meanwhile nearby the port, Nightmare was still making easy job in crushing the soldiers like pancakes.

"Goodness, we have like only ten percent of our starting number. How many time had passed?"

    "10 minutes or so."

"So 50 minutes or so left, huh? I guess it's a good day to die."

    "Where are the Werewolves anyway?"

    "Probably facing another big problem."

Then Nightmare suddenly stopped and looked away. After a short while he leaps through the city at an unknown destination.

    "...Oh my. We are saved!"

"We still lost many of our comrades."

    "Don't ruin the mood, Sergio!"

Meanwhile back to Johnnathan, he was having a fierce fight with Moonlight while Evening watched it from afar.

"Someone is actually standing up to Moonlight." Said Evening to himself. "But it had to be Johnny of all people! I need to intervene somehow, but she just won't listen. What do I do?!"

Suddenly a huge shadow was casted upon them. The three of them looked up and saw a massive object falling down on them.

"What in the bloody hell is that?" Said Johnnathan.

"Oh man...It has to be you isn't it, brother?" Said Moonlight.

"Oh no...That's the the second-worst case scenario." Said Evening as a whole 3-store building was falling over where Johnnathan and Moonlight were and the two of them quickly jumped out of the danger area.

"Urgh! These royals...Are on a entirely different levels than what I am used to handle." Said Johnnathan to himself as he felt something massive landing right behind him. He turns away and see the large figure of Nightmare staring at him.

"Who....What is he?" Thought Johnnathan. "Not only he looks like a boulder this close...I feel like he is an entire mountain."

As Johnnathan was shocked by him, Nightmare lands a backfist that send Johnnathan flying several quarters away until he stops by crashing into a wall.

"Argh! I never felt this much pain since my mother hit me."

Nightmare appears once again in front of him to deliver a horizontal chop attack, but Johnnathan quickly reacts by jumping over him and delivering two slashes with his swords on his left shoulder only shreding his jacket. As Johnnathan lands behind him he quickly check on his blades.

"No blood. What is this guy made of?" Thought himself as Nightmare started to attack him once again with a barrage of punches. Johnnathan tries to parry it, but he is overwhelmed by his strenght and delivers a spinning kick right on his right flank.

"Gaaaaaah!" Screamed Johnnathan as he flies away another quarter. "Uuurgh....I think I broke a rib here."

Before he could even stand on his feet, Nightmare appears and grab him by the leg and starts to pummel him to the ground like a rag doll until he tosses him away at a wall.

"Urk...You damn...Rock...Uuuu...." Said Johnnathan as he passes out.

Nightmare slowly approaches him and prepare to deliver a stomp on his body.

"Stop!" Shouted Evening who appeared right in front of Nightmare making him stop. "You stop right now brother! I'm taking him away!"

"What's going on here?" Said Moonlinght who appeared alongside Blanc and Chill that was eating a roasted corn."You just went away like a madwoman ever since Nightmare showed up. What's into you?"

"Hmm? Who is that chum? He smells...kinda weird?" Said Blanc.

"Ooohohoho. It's a nice smell...I want to eat him whole!" Said Chill salivating excessively.

"Don't eat everything you see laying around. You don't know where it passed through." Said Moonlight."But nice of Nightmare to stop. I can kill this miserable half-breed myself!"

"No! I will not let you!" Shouted Evening.

    "Excuse me?" Said Moonlight.

"This man is an old friend of mine."

"What did you say?!" Said Moonlight, surprised at the response.

"Who is what now?!" Shouted Blanc.

    "I'm yelling also!" Yelled Chill.

"S-Since you when you were friends with a Hybrid?! And why was he laying on top of you earlier?!" Said Moonlight.

"He is what and was doing what?!" Said Blanc.

"Can I eat him or not?!" Shouted Chill.

"Hey there! People that likes to mess with other people!" Said Raven who just with his arms covered in blood. "I wasn't expecting to see so many of you reunited in one place. What is the commotion all about-Oho! Who is that unfortunate looking fella there?"

    Raven then approached Johnnathan.

"Hold on...I know this cretin. Isn't that Johnny-boy, Eve?"

"You know him too, brother?" Asked Moonlight.

"Yeah, Evening used to sneak out of the castle to see this boy when they were younger."

"Our cute innocent little sister was doing something naughty behind our backs? Oho! And you left your lovely big sister out of this, Eve? Teehee."

"Cut the crap, sis." Said Evening. "You wanted to kill him just a while ago."

"So Nightmare did this? And he fought against Moonlight earlier on? I'm surprised he managed to still be alive." Said Raven as he was poking Johnnathan's face. "I guess that change the course of our plans."

    "How so?" Said Moonlight.

"Alright guys, we're leaving." Said Raven. "I know it has been short but unfortunately I have a lot to catch up with an old pal."

Meanwhile Coela was seeing the whole thing with a terrified look.

    "Oh no...Johnny..."

    Chapter 7: Special Guest.

    Hidden:

    "Uuuurgh....What happened?"

Johnnathan was on a dark room resting on a bed with bandages over his abdomen and left shoulder. He just awakened and slowly lifted his head.

"You awake!" Said Evening that was next to the bed with his shirt and jacket in hands.

"...You were there this whole time?"

"Someone had to watch over you. The people in this ship are kind of hard to handle."

"Ship...So we are on a ship, huh?"

Johnnathan raised from his bed and took his clothes from Evening.

"...You got a nice body." Murmured Evening.

    "Say what?"

    "N-Nothing."

He then went to a window and saw that the ship was flying above the clouds.

"Woah. We are this high in the sky? Not even the Military Airships can fly this high."

"My brother Specter designed this ship to travel anywhere in the world."

"So...I am like a prisoner or something?"

    "Absolutely not!"

    "So I can leave then?"

"N-No...It's complicated. Look, just come have a dinner with us."

"Oh? Am I the main course?"

    "...Sniff..." Evening starts to cry.

    "Ah! W-What is going on?"

"Why are you doing this? Why do you suddenly distrust me?!..Sob..."

"W-Wait! Okay, okay! I'm sorry! There there..."

Johnnathan starts to comfort her by giving her a hug.

"Oh my..." Thought Johnnathan. "She is...quite soft."

"Er...Johnnathan?" Said Evening. "You can release me now."

"Oh. Okay." He quickly releases her. "It's just the first time I tried to calm down a vampire."

"There is still no excuse to act like a meanie. If I wanted you dead I would had done a decade ago. Now it's like we were never friends."

"No, no. It's okay. It's just that over time I grew a little...hostile."

"Well I can't really judge it."

"So take me to this...Dinner thingie."

Evening takes him outside and guide him through the hallways.

"I never walked on a ship this big. It's almost like a maze here."

"I used to get lost here on the first two years. Ah! We arrived."

The two of them arrived in front of a large well-ornamented crimsom door that looked like it was from a castle. They enter inside and there was a large dinning table with six chairs on the sides and one chair on both apexes. The table had a ham, grilled fishes, chicken wings, fruits, cheese breads, steaks, spagghetti, blue cheese, chocolate cake, 4 bottles of wine and a large roasted bird.

"That's a lot of food." Said Johnnathan.

"Our new bodies requires a lot of maintanance."

"Can't you guys just drink blood?"

"Yeah, but....Blood is just too lame."

Johnnathan then notices that in the farest chair on the right side, Nightmare was sitting there asleep.

    "It's...Him."

"Do not worry. He will not harm you again. Come, sit down."

She guides Johnnathan to his seat on the closest appex of the table and she went to the chair on the right side that was closer to him. She picks up a bell and rings. Then several clouds of red mist appears and each of those went to a chair and turned into Raven and the other siblings.

Raven was on the other appex of the table while Noir, Blanc and Chill were on the left side and Moonlight was between Nightmare and Evening.

"Well hello there!" Said Raven. "Are you feeling well, Johnny-boy?"

"I don't think people usually are well surrounded by Rogue Vampires every corner." Said Johnnathan.

"Oh please. We are more scared of you than you are of us. We don't name your kind Anti-Vampire for nothing."

"But you are not vampires anymore, right?"

"That's a half-true at most. Our bodies are still vulnerable to outside dark threats, ironically. See us like with an...extra layer."

    "That's...good to know."

"You're welcome. Anyway, I wanna start by apologize for what my little brother did to you and for what my little sister did it earlier. You see, when you are on top of food chain these kind of things are usual as a normal feud. Anyway is there anything in this table that suits your tastes?"

    "....Is that Blitzreignian Trout?"

"Oh! Good eye! They are well-know in Mians, right?"

    "I want that."

    "Okay. Noir..."

"Alright, alright..." Said Noir as he picks the dish containing the Trout and quickly raises from his chair and puts in front of Johnnathan and returned to his chair in about 2 seconds.

"He is fast." Thought Johnnathan that was stunned by his speed.

"Well then, how about we fill our bellies first, huh?" Said Raven.

"...Agreed." Said Johnnathan as he picks his fork and knife and eats the trout without averting his eyes on Raven that was eating his ham without noticing Johnnathan's gaze.

Chill was eating a whole bowl of chicken wings that were filled almost like a small mountain. He was picking one each at a time and putting down on his throat, quickly emptying the bowl.

Blanc was eating the leg of the bird dish, that happens to be a Dodiche with his right hand, looking at Johnnathan with an angry look.

Noir was eating a whole steak, slowly cutting the meat with his utensils and quickly putting on his mouth when he was done slicing it.

Evening was eating spagghetti looking at Johnnathan with a concerned look.

Moonlight was elegantly eating a piece of salad with blue cheese and looked at Johnnathan with interest.

"You know Eve." Said Moonlight, murmuring to Evening. "Seeing her closer, I don't find him so...despicable as I thought. Do you want any help?"

"I-I don't know what you're talking about it." Murmured Evening.

"Just remember to trust your big sister for these kind of affairs."

"Shhh! Don't let the others hear you."

A little while later they both finished their dishes.

"So? Was it to your liking, Johnny-boy?"

"It was...excellent. The tenderness and salt was on point."

"I'm glad you liked. You know, you could eat a trout like that everyday if you wanted."

"Don't try to persuade me with such silly tactics."

"Hehehehe. I knew it you would say something like that."

"Do you really intend do this, Raven?" Said Noir. "He does not have the eyes of a servant."

"...By the way Johnnathan." Said Raven. "I believe you should be introduced to my brother, Noir. He is Evening's blood brother as well. I believe she told you about it. And there is also Blanc and our little bloomer, Chill."

"Keehehehehe..." Laughed Chill looking at Johnnathan salivating.

"Aaaanyway as you should know I have various...connections around the world, but none of them are...related to a Hybrid. And I think it would be vantagious for your own well-being if we were on friendly terms. So maybe we could...Have a partnership of sorts?"

"Before that I have to ask...Did you forgot you killed my father backin Zaratraz?"

"W-What?" Said Evening. "Hold on...That man next to you...Raven, what is going on?!"

"Oh...That." Said Raven. "I thought you would be...already over that at this point. Honestly, I was kind of expecting a little more of the Red Demon."

"The Red Demon?" Asked Blanc. "You mean...THAT Red Demon?! He is his son?!"

"And since he is a Hybrid." Said Moonlight. "That means...Ohoho. Interesting catch you got Eve."

"But....That means...You knew it, Raven?" Said Evening.

"What are you saying, Eve?" Asked Johnnathan.

"You think it was a coincidence?" Asked Raven. "That you had survived after I gave a wound even a Hybrid child wouldn't survive? I guess you wouldn't be here if I hadn't sent Evening to save your life that day."

"You...sent her to save me?" Asked Johnnathan.

"I just said that I did it, I don't know why you are asking it, but yeah. Actually I told her to investigate those tunnels for trivial reasons and she stumbled upon you."

"But why did you done that to him?" Asked Evening.

"Hey, he was the one that went after my neck with a scythe. And his father was also after my neck with a scythe. What do you expect me to do? Let he cut my head. I could die if that happened."

"Things like Revenge and Paybacks...I have no interest on things like that."

    "You...don't?"

"No. But I have no interest in allying myself with you. I just...don't really are interested in a guy like you."

"...Hey, Moonlight. Did he just dumped me?"

    "Technically." Said Moonlight.

"Oh....Oh...." Said Raven as he starts getting melancholic and lowers his face, getting a sorrowful air around him.

"...Is he okay?" Johnnathan asked Evening.

"He will be fine." Replied Evening.

"...Well then!' Said Raven who was back to his cheerful self. "I suposse there aren't a lot more to talk here. Do you want some wine?"

"I'm not really into." Said Johnnathan.

"Well that's good. It will make the things go faster. Since you already finished your trout, I would like if you and Evening could follow me to the deck."

"I suposse I do not have a choice."

Raven, Evening and Johnnathan then leaves the dinning hall.

"....I think he would taste great with soy sauce." Said Chill.

Johnnathan and the two Rogues arrived on the deck that seemed to be empty. It was already dusk and the sky was starting to be filled with stars.

"Isn't it pretty?" Said Raven. "Where I was raised there was no sky at all. Only pitch black dark. Over here is almost like an entirely new world."

'You like the late afternoon sky as well?" Said Johnnathan.

"Yes. It gives that air of...What the future holds...But let's forget about all that cheesy symbolism, shall we?"

He activates his crimsom claw and impales on Johnnathan's stomach.

    "Gaaaah!"

"Aaaaah! Raven! What are you doing?" Shouted Evening.

Raven procceded by tying up Johnnathan on the mast.

"Did you really think I would just let you stay on my ship like that?" Said Raven. "I'm a Rogue motherfucking Vampire!"

"Raven! Release him this instant!" Shouted Evening.

"Oh! I will...But before I need you to do something."

    "What is it?"

"Whip his face with your chains."

    "Whaaaat?!"

"Only one strike. Then put him on the prison."

    "N-No! Why me?!"

"Because you are the only one here that can summon a chain from the palms. Now do what I demanded!"

    "I-I refuse!"

"...Would you rather if I kill him right here, right now?"

He glared at her with a glare and she froze with fear. She gulped and summoned a chain. She approached Johnnathan and wielded her chain to strike him.

    "Eve...I want 3 strikes now."

    "B-But!"

    "Now it's five."

    "O-Okay."

She looked at Johnnathan who was breathing hard with one eye closed looking at Evening showing a glimpse of conviction and courage. Evening then teared a bit, closed her eyes and sent the chain at Johnnathan's face.

Five swings later, Evening carried Johnnathan by lending him a shoulder who had five nasty wounds on his face. She was on a hallway filled with automatic doors. She stood in front of one of the doors and put a black key in a keyhole that made the door opened to a large open room.

Inside there was a woman with a brown hood sitting on a corner and a man with a messy short hair sleeping far away from her.
Evening gently put Johnnathan laying his back on the wall.

"I'm sorry..." Said Evening who kissed him on the cheek. "You there. Heal him...Please."

She adressed to the other prisoner and left the cell.

The hooded woman went to Johnnathan and placed her hand over his face that glowed a green light. Soon his face started to heal.

"Uuurgh...What is going on? Where am I?" Said Johnnathan who woke up.

"You are on the Prison Section." Said the woman. "They did quite a lot on you. If you were human, you would most likely be dead."

"Well, nice eye you got there." Said Johnnathan. "It's not everyone who notices on first glance that I'm a Hybrid."

"How did you got there is a interesting tale. I never saw one of those Rogues to exhibit such an emotional reaction."

"What are you talking about it?"

"That woman that brought you here. One of the Royals. She seemed to hold a lot of feeling for you. She even left with regret."

    "How do you know that?"

She removed her hood and revealed her face. She had young-looking with green eyes, long ears and a long silver hair that was braided.

"Oh...Should have figured it out. You are a Fairy. Far away from your forest, huh?"

"Just like you, I am not here because I want to."

The fairy extended her hand to him.

    "My name is Florencia."

"...Johnnathan Highlander." Said Johnnathan that shaked her hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I'm afraid it's not our first meeting. We've met once in Zaratraz, remember? That crepes were really good."

"Oh...Oh! You were that nice lady!"

"Shut up over there! I'm sleeping!" Shouted the man sleeping in the corner.

"Don't mind him." Said Florencia. "He didn't said a single word to me either ever since we arrived here."

"So this is where they keep their preys, huh?" Said Johnnathan.

"Yes. I've been here for about a week. They might have kept around for situations like yours."

"I still didn't thought of what is gonna happen to me now. They can't turn me into one of them...And if they wanted me dead, then I should have died hours ago."

"The ones that are sired are the real unlucky ones. But you might be below those."

"I guess that's it for the Red Beast."

    "Wait...You are the Red Beast?"

"Oh...I suposse only Mians know about that."

"Mians? That place far west from Blitzreign?"

    "My hometown."

"I see...There are pretty mountains around there."

"Yeah...A good place to settle down with a family if you are into that sort of stuff...I guess I should have done that, huh?"

"If I could had choose I would be bathing on the the forest's bathing light instead of this cold prison."

    "Why are you here anyway?"

"I had bussiness to do in Mox when I was ambushed. I don't know what they did it, but somehow I was took down by one of them."

    "That is weird."

"And you? How the infamous Red Beast got here?"

    "...A Woman."

"Oh...I wouldn't pry further despite my feminine curiosity."

"I guess all we can do is hope help from above."

    "Crash!"

A steel plate fell from the ceiling and a young man with a short blond hair with a white bandanna, wearing a blue shirt, leather gloves fell on top of it carrying a huge sack. He was also carrying a short sword behind his waist.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! I wasn't expecting this!" Said the man who just fell.

"....There is an air duct here?" Said Johnnathan who just noticed it.

"I guess even rogues have standards." Said Florencia.

"Damn, I guess wandering around the ducts without a map is not a good idea. Where the hell am I?" Said the man.

    "Uuuh...Who are you?" Asked Johnnathan.

"Who? Me? Just your everyday Treasure Hunter." Said the man. "The name is Edward. But you can call me Eddie."

    "That's lame." Said Florencia.

"Ack! Don't be so straight lady." Said Edward. "Huh? You are a fairy, right?"

"Most important, what are those belongings you have there?"

"Oh. Just some random junk I found. I went to see what they have on storage, but only found those items."

"I get it. You are a thief." Said Johnnathan.

    "N-No! I said I'm a Treasure Hunter!"

"Then why the hell are you hunting treasure on a pirate ship?"

"W-Well...Pirates often have treasure looting around, right?"

"Picking other people's treasure is basically thievery."

"That's up to interpretation! Besides I didn't found any gold or something."

"Vampires have no interest in gold. Rogues are no different. The only Treasure for them is Blood." Said Florencia.

"By the way, any Treasure Hunter would know that." Said Johnnathan. "But a thief on the other hand..."

"I said I'm not a thief! Besides I had a lead for the biggest treasure of all time that pointed out to this ship!"

    "...You're bluffing."

"No! I'm not. Look!" Edward showed to Johnnathan a small book he took from his loot and showed a page with a circle surrounded by a hexogram with six words of unknown characters on it. "See? See?!"

    "...I don't see shit."

"What? Can't you see this is Vampire Language?!"

"About that." Said Florencia who took a glimpse. "This is Fairy Language."

"Huh? But they told me it was...Well, nevermind. There is a map that shows the way to the Treasure of the Ancients in this!"

"...Can you confirm that?" Asked Johnnathan to Florencia.

"Let's see...." Said Florencia who just read throught he book. "Seems likely. It certainly shows the gate to the treasure."

"Well, I was right. I just...Took one wrong direction." Said Edward.

"So you went here after some blind clue. Don't push your dumb luck so much." Said Johnnathan.

"Well, there is me here so he is not too off the mark, but I agree." Said Florencia.

    "And what does it says?"

"It mentions six keys to be used. Each key corresponds to the six symbols of the Ancients. Forest, Fire, Ocean, Beasts, Spirit and Darkness. Gather the six and the path to the Ancient's Legacy opens."

"That sounds like the hard part." Commented Edward.

"By the way...Eddie." Said Johnnathan who picked up two black swords on the floor that came from Edward's sack. "What do you plan to do now?"

"Uuuh...Getting out here and looking for those keys?"

    "Well then...How about a deal?"

Johnnathan covered his swords in a dark aura and sliced the door multiple times.

    "....What did you just-"

The door then crumbles into pieces.

"What the?!" Said Edward that was surprised.

"Those swords used to belong to me. They are made of Darkanium which is the same material as those doors."

"But Darkanium Weapons are just good against Rogues, right?"

"If you cover them with dark magic..." Said Florencia who picked up a bow that also came from the sack. "It's quite possible for a well-trained Hybrid to cut."

"Hybrid....He is a Hybrid?!" Shouted Edward that after that received a punch from above his head.

"Why is everyone so loud?" Said the other man in the cell that just punched Edward.

    "Huh? Weren't you dead?"

"No I wasn't, dipshit. By the way, you half-breed. You did that, right?"

"Yeah....But don't call me that will you?" Said Johnnathan.

"Alright then. If we get out of here alive...I will follow you."

    "Really?"

"You are the Red Beast, right? Certainly you need some tough guy under you."

    "T-The Red Beast?!" Shouted Edward.

"It's the same for me." Said Florencia. "It's not everyone that can free someone from those devil's clutches."

"You are all a bunch of crazy people." Said Johnnathan. "Very well then. You are all in...You too, Edward."

    "Huh?!" Said Edward still confused.

    Chapter 8: Great Escape.

    Hidden:

Johnnathan and his three new pals just left their cells to find a way to escape the ship. They were freely walking through the Prison Sector.

"Are you sure we should be walking here in the open?" Asked Edward.

"It doesn't seems there are anyone on guard here." Said the other man.

    "How are you so sure?"

    "I just know."

"So what is your name again?" Asked Johnnathan.

"West Terry. Just a normal punk." Replied West.

"Hey, I was thinking." Said Edward. "There is a lot of people trapped here. So should we..."

"Out of question." Said Florencia. "It's already risky with 4 people. If we cause a riot, our chances of sucess might actually drop. Remember that they have the most dangerous pirates among their rankings."

"I....I understand. But how about only one extra pair of hands?"

    "...What do you say...Captain Johnnathan?"

    "....Just...One." Replied Johnnathan.

"Okay! That one over there, please." Said Edward who pointed at a nearby cell.

"Why that one specifically?" Said West.

"I saw someone in trouble in there."

"Everyone is on trouble here, moron."

"Let's just get this over with." Said Johnnathan as he delivers a barrage of attacks at the door, destroying it in the process. Inside, a young woman with a blue white dress with along hair with a snow white colour tied with a ribbon is laying on the floor with bite marks on the neck.

"...That's it?" Asked West. "It's just one brat."

"Don't be insensitive, Mr. Terry." Said Florencia that approached the woman and started to heal her with Healing Magic.

A while later the woman got on her feet.

    "W-What happened?" Asked the woman.

"We saved you, apparently." Said Johnnathan. "Are you okay?"

    "I-I guess. Who...are you people?"

"Your equals. If you wanna thank someone, thank this guy. He is the one who had the idea." Said Johnnathan pointing at Edward.

"Hey! I saved you three as well." Said Edward.

"And you can't leave this place without my help. Let's just leave this place."

"J-Just a second. I feel like I need to introduce myself." Said the woman as she did an small elegant bow with her legs. "I'm Vanilla Sundae. Spellcaster graduated from GMA. I was on a mission when things...went south really fast."

"GMA, huh?" Said Johnnathan. "That's Gel Magic Academy. Only the best come from there."

"Heehehe. I was actually second in my class."

"I guess you can help. You can follow us."

"Er...I actually don't have my staff."

"Oh! That must be it." Said Edward that picked a white staff from his sack.

"Ah! This is it!" Said Vanilla as she picks her staff and hugs dearly. "Ooooh! Mommy missed you so much!"

"Well now that is out of the way, let's find an exit."

Meanwhile next to Raven's room, Raven was walking towards his room when he notices Noir standing nearby laying his back on the wall with his arms crossed. He keeps walking as if he didn't notice Noir and pass right through him.

"...Was that really necessary?" Said Noir.

"...You were eavesdropping? If that was the case then I am impressed."

"I already have an idea of what happened by looking at Evening alone. She was quite shaken."

"Look here. Your big brother has a lot on his hands by leading the most menancing army in history and that brings some burdens. So I need impose my position of supreme leader by keeping every bastard bloodsucker here in their places."

    "And that include us?"

"Specially us! No hard feelings. I am just thinking of how this organization lasts as long as it needs."

"I do not disagree with your actions...But when you include Evening on this then you better get me involved as well."

    "And what if I don't?"

"...Don't ever think about it, Raven."

"Alright, alright. You are the first one I really do not wanna upset."

"So what are your plans with the lad?"

"I'll keep him around like a good-luck charm for the time being. You see...There is a lot of potential on him."

Back to Johnnathan, the gang found a detour on the path. West immediately flagged with his arm to make them stop.

"There is Rogues ahead." Said West with a low tone voice.

"How can you be so-" Said Edward that had his mouth shut by West.

"Heard something?" Said a voice far from them alongside another.

    "Probably another mouse."

Johnnathan then laid his back on the wall and flagged the rest to do the same. He then closed his eyes and a small ammount of darkness was being released from his body.

"Huh? What is that?" Thought Vanilla.

Then in a split second, Johnnathan advanced and sliced all of the three Rogues that were approaching them, turning them to dust. West impressed, gave a low wistle.

"Woah. I never seen someone handle a rogue this easily." Said Edward.

"They don't call Hybrids, Anti-Vampires for nothing." Said Florencia.

"Golly! That was fantastic Sir Johnnthan!" Said an enthusiastatic Vanilla. "So you are actually a Hybrid? I never seen one before. What did you just do right now?"

"Well, how should I explain? First I sensed they approaching with my Dark Sense where I can sense the nearby space where I am located and second I used the leftover of my dark magic to numb their senses. The rest is easy to figure it out."

"What is Dark Sense?" Said Edward.

"It is what one of my superiors taught me. It's kinda like what bats do, but without the sonar thing."

"Amazing. I didn't knew you were so adept. Are you a Warlock Type? Because you look more like a Warrior." Said Vanilla.

    "I'm more of a Deviant."

    "What are those?" Asked West.

"Hybrids are often splits in two categories. Warriors and Warlocks." Said Florencia. "Warriors are Hybrids that enhanche their physical capabilites and combat abilities with their Darkness while Warlocks are Hybrids that can manifest their Darkness through spells. But I don't knw what Deviant is."

"It's a Hybrid who is a bit of both." Said Johnnathan. "But there isn't exactly a middle ground on this. I am still more of a Warrior."

"I don't want to be a bother, but could you elaborate with a comparission?" Asked Vanilla.

"Let's see...How many attributes do you master?"

"That would be Fire, Lightning and Water, where the latter is more focused on Ice."

"Three attributes...I was expecting two, but okay. Let's just say you have 10 points to distribute to these elements. How would you distibute them?"

"Let's see...I would put 4 points on Water and 3 to each Fire and Lightning."

"I see. Impressive you have more aptitude to Ice, but that aside in my situation I would have only five points to distribute where 3 would be to Warrior and 2 to Warlock. And if you would have at least 4 points to each of them you wouldn't be a Deviant."

"Oh. I think I got it. But does that means Deviants are kinda below either a Warlock or Warrior?"

"It's not like that." Said West. "If we are talking about these terms, a Deviant would have a far bigger field of range than a Warrior and a Deviant and would have advantage up close to a Warlock."

Everyone then stares at West with surprise in their eyes.

"Huh. Right now you spoke exactly like my teacher." Said Johnnathan. "And here I though you were just a dumb brute."

"Meh. It started to make sense when you mentioned the point things."

"Anyway those are amazing data." Said Vanilla. "Thank you very much for sharing this, Sir Johnnathan!"

"If you want I could introduce you to my teacher. He didn't taught me eveything he knows." Said Johnnathan.

    "Really?! Awesome!"

"She is being too much optimism in this situation." Commented Florencia.

After silently walking through the ship, they stumble upon an intersection with two paths to follow.

"Great. A split road." Said Johnnathan that later saw a sign in between the paths that he begun to read. "In case you forgot Raven, the Hangar is on the left and the dormss are on the right. Signed Specter."

    "Who's that?" Said Edward.

    "One of Raven's brothers."

"I don't remember any sibling with that name."

"It was one of Vladmir's eight children. For reasons unknow there hasn't been any more records of him." Said Florencia.

"What it matters it is that we have directions. This way." Said Johnnathan who guided them to the left.

The gang arrives at a large hangar containing several small hoats stationed above hatches.

    "What are those?" Asked Edward.

"They are called Strikers." Said Johnnathan. "Rogues uses those to assault Airships and transport their...goods."

"And we can use those to escape?" Said West.

"Well, luckily I used to salvage those things for the enginner of my crew. I can manage if I take a closer look."

"Wow! You are a man of many talents, Sir Johnnathan." Said Vanilla.

"My teacher would kill you just for saying that."

Johnnathan enters in one of the boats while the rest watches.

"Damn...She really is into him." Said Edward.

"By the way how did you know about her specifically?" Said West.

"I watched over the air ducts a Rogue sucking her blood. She seemed to be in trouble."

"And out of everyone else you wanted to free her? Boys these days."

"Jeez, can't a guy do something nice to a girl in return?"

"It's all seems pointless when you don't get the girl."

"*Sigh* And to think I freed you lot."

Meanwhile Florencia notices the two of them murmuring from behind.

    "Pathetic."

"Anyway, it seems pretty peaceful here." Said Edward.

"It doesn't seems they noticed us. We are lucky." Said West.

"I guess I might fetch a few more souvenirs there."

Edward went to a pile of crates lying around and opened one of them with caution with his short sword. But by doing so he left a small scratch on his palm.

    "Ouch...That stung."

Meanwhile back on the dinning room, only Nightmare and Chill were around. Chill was chewing on Nightmare's helmet when he suddenly started to smell something.

"Huh? *Sniff* *Sniff* This smell...Human? Oh...Ooooooh....Keeehehehehehe!"

Meanwhile back at the hangar, Johnnathan was still examining the boat when Edward came back with a sack full of loot, licking his hand.

"What do you have there?" Asked Vanilla. "And what are you doing with your hand?"

"Just useless junk." Said Edward. "And I cut my hand a little."

"Gross. Let me heal for you."

Vanilla picked his hand and unleashed a small white pulse that healed the cut.

"There. Don't use your spit above a wound ever again."

    "O-Okay then."

"Huh? Are you feeling okay? You are sweating."

    "It's....Nothing.(She is holding my hand...)"

"Anyway we need some sort of bandage....Oh, there it is...Huh?!"

She was about to pick a box of bandage next to her, but to her surprise it was Chill holding the box for her.

"Surprise!" Said Chill as he was about to eat Vanilla, but West dashed like a rocket to her rescue and punched Chill right into the right side of his face sending him flying.

"Good Lord, what was that?" Said Edward.

"Are you talking about the pipsqueak or the fact I saved your sorry asses?" Said West.

"What is going on here?" Said Johnnathan as he left the boat.

"We got company, Johnnathan!" Said Florencia as she aims her bow at Chill. "And it's one of Raven's brothers!"

Chill then gets up and slowly walks towards them with her mouth open, drooling excessively a corrosive saliva.

"That was a nice punch. Keehehehehe...."

"That must be the Dark Devourer." Said Vanilla as she trembles in fear. "He never leaves even a single bone left from his victims."

"Keeehehehe...Who would know? I smell a stowaway and I find not one, but five dishes to eat? And one of them is you, Johnny? Keeehehehehe..." Said Chill as opens his mouth and takes of a large rectengular fillet knife from it. "I guess I'll eat you after chopping you to pieces."

    "Uuuuh....Johnnathan, any plans?" Said Edward.

"Why are you asking me?" Asked Johnnathan.

"You are the Anti-Vampire here and one of the seven most dangerous one is right in front of us. Who else I am gonna ask?"

"Kahaaaaaa!" Chill leaped through Edward with his knife, but West blocked the cut with his arm and kicked him away.

"How many times I have to save your sorry ass, Eddie? Don't let you guard down against a Royal!" Shouted West.

"Sorry about that, but...What about your arm?" Said Edward.

"Yeah, what about it?" Said Chill. "This blade is poisonous. A human would have his legs numb by now."

"I was raised in the slums." Said West. "We get tough in there."

Then a ray of light flies through Chill who dodges it by turning his head away, but a burning scratch appears on his face.

    "Argh! Light?!" Shouted Chill.

"Now you are the one being careless." Said Florencia aiming her bow with an arrow of light.

    "Tch. Fairies...You lot taste awful."

"White Wall!" Vanilla creates a thick ice wall between them and Chill.

    "Oh. That's impressive." Said Florencia.

Chill then went to the ice and started to poke it. Later on, he poured salt on it.

"What is he doing?" Said Vanilla.

Chill then starts eating the ice.

"Aaaah! You can't do that! That ice is below zero temperatures."

"*Chew* That's alright. I'm always chill." Said Chill while eating it.

As soon as Chill reaches the other side, Johnnathan attacks him by parrying his knife with his swords.

"Keeeehehehe...I guess Raven wouldn't mind if I eat a leg out of you."

"The only thing you'll be eating is my boot into your face." Said Johnnathan as he gets ready to face Chill.

Soon, a chain appears crushing the ice and catching Chill.

"Eh? What's going on?!" Said Chill as he is pushed away by no one other than Evening. "Eve! What the hell are you doing?!"

    "It's....It's her." Said Vanilla.

"Chill...go call the others." Said Evening. "I'll deal with them."

"What did you say?" Asked Chill. "Oh, I get it. You wanna keep them all for yourself, isn't it? You greedy meanie!"

"Do that and I bring you another Narwhal."

"...Shit, you do know me well. Fine then!"

Chill turned into mist and flew away.

"We get rid of a problem and then another problem comes across." Said West, clenching his fists. "Alright woman, bring it on!"

Evening totally ignores him and went to a Striker stationed nearby. She entered the cabin and started to work on the engine inside.

    "....What?" Said West in confusion.

Soon the Striker started to float and a hatch opened below it.

"There. I turned on." Said Evelyne who just left the Striker. "You can use those to leave. It's like a boat, but you can go up and down. You can figure out."

"Huh...What is going on?" Said Edward. "Are you letting us go."

"No. I'm letting HIM, Johnnathan, go. I couldn't care a bat shit about you guys. Now piss off!"

    "Fine, jeez."

All the four of them boarded on the boat with Vanilla staring at Evening from behind with her neck aching it, putting her hand above the bite mark. Before Johnnathan boarded, she grabbed Evening by the arm.

"And what about you?" Asked him.

"I have a plan." Said Evening.

"Do you really want to stay here?"

"We can choose our friends, but can't choose family Johnny. Now go before I change my mind."

    "...Alright."

He boarded the boat and he manages to make it go down.

"Soooo, why were you talking to one of Raven's sisters like you two are close?" Said Edward.

"Because we were friends ever since we were children."

"....What?!" Shouted all the four of them.

"Okay then..." Said Evening as she picked a sword laying around."...Love really does hurts."

A little while later, Raven and the others had arrived.

"Alright, Johnny. You wanna play or....Eh?" Said Raven as he sees the image of Evening fallen on the floor, missing an arm and soaked wuth blood that came from her abdomen.

"Evening!" Shouted Noir that went to her sister's aide by bitting his own wrist and letting his own blood to drip on her mouth.

"Huh? It wasn't like this when I arrived?"

    "Eve?! What happened?!" Asked Moonlight.

"Johnnathan and four others...They were too much for me." Said Evening.

"Is that so?" Said Raven as he notices a Striker missing. "That's unfortunate. Not only we lost him, but four others. Good grief."

"Good lord, Raven!" Shouted Moonlight. "Our dear sister just got beaten and is soaked like a dead pig and you can only think of that?!"

"Hey, don't you wanna hunt them down anyway?"

    "That's....a good point, actually."

    "How bad she is, Noir?"

"Outside of her arm, she has been impaled a multiple times on her belly." Said Noir. "All she needs is blood and rest."

"Well, they can't be far can they?!" Said Blanc. "Let's beat those chums into pieces!"

"No need to rush." Said Raven. "If they took a Striker, then they are way far away. And it's so cloudy outside. We will cross paths with them once again. Besides, if they could done that with Evening...the same can happen to you, Blanc."

"Tch! Fine then. But are you okay with this?"

"...No. Of course not. Can't you see...I am reaaaally pissed right now!"

Raven gave a menancing look with a distorted smile.

    Chapter 9: Stranded.

    Hidden:

Somewhere on an unknown location, Johnnathan and the others were on a desert island with a jungle forest on it. It was the near end of the evening with the dawn coming next in a few hours.

They were on the beach in front of a destroyed Striker that fell on a crash site.

"Alright, can someone remind me how did this happen again?" Said Johnnathan.

"Edward touched where it shouldn't be touched." Said West.

    "You can't prove that!"

"I saw. Florencia saw. Vanilla saw. We all saw."

"Okay, okay. But seriously, everyone would get scared at a stowaway mouse."

"I knew we couldn't let you be next to the engines."

"Can we please not get mad at him?" Said Vanilla. "What it matters is that we are fine."

"Sure, we are stranded on an unknown island far away from civilization after escaping Rogues, but outside of that everything is alright."

"Alright, stop the unnecessary rudeness." Said Florencia. "What do we do for now?"

"Well, I am get into the forest out there." Said Johnnathan as he walks towards the jungle.

"Huh?! Dude, it's like pitch dark out there." Said Edward.

"I'm Hybrid. Not that I can manage."

    "But isn't still dangerous?"

"I would be more safe hiding in the trees than here in the open. By the way if someone would get rid of that junk boat I would be pleased. See ya."

Johnnathan casually walks away waving his hand.

"...You know what? I'm following him." Said West who went away as well.

"We should do the same." Said Florencia.

"Are you insane? There is no way we could survive there." Said Edward.

    "A delicate little thing like me wouldn't last 10 minutes there." Said Vanilla;

"Oh please. Did you forget you have a Fairy with you?" Said Florencia as she summons four green light wings on her back. "You don't need to fear the darkness."

"Well...I do feel more safe with you around." Said Vanilla with a rose in confidence.

"...I really don't want be alone here." Said Edward.

Vanilla releases a fireball that sends the Striker away to the sea and the three of them follows Johnnathan and West.

As they travel through the jungle, they find an open field with a thick tree in the center where the land was firm and free of grass.

"I guess we can rest here for the time being." Said Florencia as she touches the tree. "This is a nice spot."

    "Why is that?" Asked West.

"The roots of those trees run wide and deep. With this I can see this jungle through the flora."

"Interesting." Said Vanilla. "So fairies really can feel the plants out of Fairy Forest."

"That's an assumed because we rarely leave the forest. But that aside, what should we do...captain?"

"Well, let's see...How about we find some food?" Said Johnnathan.

"At this time of the night?" Said Edward.

"I'm a Hybrid. This is no different than the middle of afternoon for me."

"If I may Johnny...Would you leaves it for me." Said West.

"I am not sure about that."

"I've been on far worse places. Besides, it would be better for all of us if nothing bad happens to you."

"I agree with West." Said Florencia. "But I can keep an eye on him if you want."

"Very well then." Said Johnnathan. "But before you go, why did you called me captain earlier?"

"You saved me from Raven. I kinda own my life to you."

"So you are actually hanging with me from now on?"

    "Pretty much."

"I wasn't expecting you to take this seriously, but very well then."

Florencia and West went deeper into the jungle while the remaining three lighted a bonfire where they sat next to it.

"I guess you are going home with two new pals, isn't it?" Said Edward.

"Well, Drake doesn't like the idea of a big crew, but those two seems cool."

    "Who's Drake?" Asked Vanilla.

"My older brother. He is my captain."

"Captain...Hold on, are you talking about Drake, The Black Demon?!" Said Edward in surprise. "So you two are actually brothers?"

"Yes. Though I turned into a pirate some time after him."

"Then I wanna ask another thing." Said Vanilla. "Is it true, that the Red Demon is your father?"

    "Oh. It is."

"Hold up! You saying THAT Red Demon?!" Shouted Edward.

"I just put 2 and 2 together and realize they took their epithets from somewhere." Said Vanilla.

"But...If the Red Demon who was a Vampire Hunter had children who are Half-Vampire then that means..."

"Not necessarily. I mean, if their mother was a Hybrid then she would have Hybrid children automatically and-"

"She was Vampire. And one of the baddest ones by the way."

"....Now that is out of nowhere." Said Edward. "I mean they were enemies, right?"

"They almost killed each other, but after getting along they realized it was nice to have a family."

"I think that's very romantic." Said Vanilla.

"Well, for me they were pretty avarage, but I guess I can't be considered avarage either." Johnnathan then laid his back and gazed upon the sky. "Damn, I wish I could sleep right now."

"Since you mentioned I do need a rest after all that happened." Said Edward. "If you excuse me I'll close my eyes for now."

Edward then sleeps on the ground.

"...So Johnnathan." Said Vanilla. "What exactly is your relationship with that Rogue?"

"You mean Evening?" Asked Johnnathan. "I told you didn't I? We are old friends."

"But...What do you feel about her now?"

"...Well, it certainly moved somewhere. Though the circumstamces are...harsh. Is it weird for a Hybrid to love a Rogue Vampire?"

"Of course not. It just...feels like too much out of reach."

"That's what pirates do. They do what do one have the courage to do. At least that's what my brother says."

    "That's quite the difficult life."

Soon Johnnathan fell asleep and then woke up a few hours later. The sky was clear and next to him there was a pile of fruits, latge eggs and dead wild dodiches.

"Good morning, sunshine." Said West who was sitting next to him.

"Ah...I fell asleep, huh? Where is Florencia?" Said Johnnathan.

"Over there." West pointed to the tree where Florencia was sleeping sitting under the tree. Vanilla was also there, sleeping on her lap covered by Florencia's hoodie as a blanket. "She was quite upset when she found her sleeping on the ground without any sort of sheet. Something about how to never treat a lady or something. Had to carry her myself there. But anyway, it seems she has grow quite fond of her for some reason."

"Right...So you took all of that?"

"Meh. Florencia helped a bit. By the way could you help cook those. I found some junk around we could use as a frying pan."

    "Right away."

The two of them made a bigger bonfire and toasted the food. Later, the five of them were eating the dodiches and the eggs.

"Damn, this stuff is really good!" Said Edward eating a dodiche's leg. "Did West actually got those by himself?"

"Florencia lended a hand." Said West.

"By the way Johnny, what do you wanted to with my book anyway?"

    "The treasure. I want it."

    "Oh? You believe that?"

    "Yes. You don't?"

    "Well, it's kinda...absurd."

"Then why are you still keeping it?"

"It's....Look, if there is a small chance that there is a fortune then it is worthy a risk. Even entering Rogue territory."

"So you coming along as well?"

    "Huh?"

"Because if you don't I'll have to take it away from you."

    "W-What?! You can't do that."

    "Yes, I can. I'm a pirate."

"That's a good point." Said West.

W-Well...When you put that way...Fine. I mean, I was thinking of coming along anyway."

"Welcome to the family, son." Said Johnnathan as he tosses an apple into his mouth.

"I'm curious." Said Florencia. "The avarage pirate do not care about those bedtime stories."

"Heh. The Red Beast and the Black Demon aren't avarage pirates." Said Johnnathan.

"By the way, what do you plan to do with her?" Said West as he pointed to Vanilla with his thumb. "I heard stories about kidnappings with pirates."

"Oh?....Oh!" Shouted Vanilla, frightned of what she heard. "Y-You wouldn't do that, would you?!"

"No way. Drake is a feminist...Not the best feminist, but he is above avarage." Said Johnnathan.

"Stop teasing the youngsters, West." Said Florencia.

"Youngsters? But you are just as young." Said Edward.

"I'm already thirty years old, Edward."

    "Whaaaat?!"

"You didn't knew that Fairies agas slower than humans?" Said Vanilla. "It's like common knowledge."

"I never seen a fairy before okay?!"

"Shut up, now." Said West. "Isn't anyone hearing anything weird?"

"Huh? I don't hear anything." Said Vanilla. "Maybe it was just the native fauna or-"

"Look out!" Shouted Edward as he pushed away Vanilla with a tackle and a giant lamprey appeared from the ground and ate Edward whole.

"Oho! This isn't good." Said West.

"Edward!" Shouted Vanilla. "You filthy beast! I shall avenge Edward!"

But before anything else, a small lightning bolt pierced from inside the lamprey and he was cut from inside by electric cuts. Edward left the insides by slicing through the insides with his short sword covered in electicity. His body was covered with bite marks.

"Oh my giddy aunty." Said Edward. "I seen and felt things that no man shouldn't."

"Hey, not bad Eddie." Said Johnnathan as he approached the remains of the beast. "A Stalker Lamprey. It's not everyone that can kill one of them. That...actually impresses me."

"Come to think about it, don't they only lives in the dephts?" Said Florencia.

"You know....I think I know what is going on."

Johnnathan then went to the beach.

"Hey, where are you going?" Said West.

    "To a more open space."

Johnnathan arrived at the beach followed shortly after by the other four.

"Hey, what is going on?" Said West. "Why are you just leaving us to this place with nothing?"

"I just thought it would be better to face it head-on rather than trying to hide in a closed off jungle." Answered Johnnathan.

    "Uuuh...'Face it?'"

Then out of nowhere, a giant blue crab jumped out of the water and gave it a loud screech.

"Good lord! What is that?!" Shouted Edward.

"It looks like a Kaiser Krab for me." Casually said Florencia.

"Stalker Lampreys often follows them to eat their offsprings after they hatches. Clever bastards." Said Johnnathan.

"Yeah, cool. But why are we here?" Said Edward.

"It's because first the female would empty the whole island of predators or anything that might be a threat for her children."

    "That includes us?" Said Vanilla.

    "Naturally." Said Florencia.

"M-Maybe if we just stands still, she will not even notice we are-"

Johnnathan kicks Edward out of the way before the Krab smashed Edward with her giant claw.

"At this point we could leave the island to far away or fight for our lives." Said Johnnathan as he unsheats his swords. "Considering we don't have a boat, I guess that's less one option. And watch out for the pincers by the way. Their grip have the strenght of half a ton."

"So what should I do first?" Asked Vanilla as the crab attacked her while she was distracted with her pincers, but West rushed in front of her and holds the pincers with his hands.

"Grrrrrrraaaaaa!" West's arms then slowly turned hairy and his body starts to change until he becae a Wolfman.

"West...You are..." Said Vanilla in awe.

West then started to inhale a large quantity of air into his lungs from his mouth.

"Wolf Cannon!" West launches a ball of air from his mouth that creates a wind explosion that sends the crab away.

"That guy...He was a Werewolf all this time?!" Said Edward.

"Oh? I already knew that." Said Florencia. "How did you think he gathered all those Dodiches by himself without any tool at the high of the night.

"I thought it would be something like that as well." Said Johnnathan.

"But...How did you do that?" Asked Vanilla. "I don't remember Werewolves blowing giant crabs."

"That was Wind Magic, wasn't it West?" Said Florencia.

"You can use magic as well?"

"Well, not proficiently as you, but I can pull a few tricks." Said West.

The crab then returned to attack them.

"Hey, Vanilla." Said Johnnathan. "You said you were good with Ice, right? Can you freeze it."

"On a thing that size...I would need one minute." Replied Vanilla.

"Good for me. Florencia! Cover us from afar! West attack to the left while I take the right! And Edward!"

    "Y-Yeah?"

"When you find an opportunity, strike the base with all your mighty. Can you do that?"

"Sure. I guess I have no choice."

"Alright. We start when you act, Flor!"

"Consider it done." Said Florencia as she shot a light arrow upwards. "Make it rain!"

A shower of light rays fell from the sky and hit the crab from above, making her cover herself with her pincers. Johnnathan then dashed to the left side while West went to the right.

Johnnathan uses his swords to cut the legs while West dashes on four while severing the legs with his claws. Edward looks at the crab struggling against the three ways attacks while holding his sword with sparks emmiting from it. He picks a pendant that was hidden inside his shirt that looked like a green cylinder and kisses it before hiding it away.

"Alright. Here goes nothing." Said Edward as he rushes towards the crab and hit her in the base of her body making electricity runs through her body and paralyzing her.

"The spell is ready!" Said Vanilla as he staff glows white and a cold air covers the crab that slowly freezes her solid.

"Woah...It actually turned it into a crab popsicle." Said West.

"It's my first time trying to freeze something this big. Urgh." Said Vanilla with a disgusted face. "I could go from a Strawberry Juice now."

"Have you ever faced a situation like this before, Johnanthan?" Asked West.

    "Yep. Twice even." Replied Johnnathan.

"You know, we make a pretty good team." Said Edward.

"Don't have funny ideas, Eddie." Said West.

"What is it matter is that this oversized crustacean wouldn't be a bother anymore."

Edward lightly knock the frozen crab and the ice slowly crumbles and the crab unfreezes it.

    "Ah, bloody hell." Said Johnnathan.

"It's not my fault, I swear!" Shouted Edward.

The crab was about to crush Edward with her claw, but at last second the attack was stopped. Drake appeared and he blocked the attack with his sword.

    "W-Who are you?" Asked Edward.

    "Drake?" Said Johnnathan.

    "The Black Demon?" Said Florencia.

"Well, well. Just like last year's summmer isn't it Johnny?" Said Drake as he easily pushes back the crab away.

The crab then jumps straight at Drake and he holds his sword with both hands, charging with Darkness.

"Black Wave!" Shouted Drake as he slices the air, sending a large dark wave at the crab that cuts her body in two.

"No way. With one attack." Said Vanilla in awe.

"The Lightning and the Ice weakened the shell, but it was still outstanding." Said Florencia.

"JOOOOOHNNNYYY!!!" Shouted Coela that just leaped out of the water and tackled Johnnathan.

"Gyaaaaa!" Screamed Johnnathan as Coela tackled him down.

"I-I was so scared! When I saw you being taken away by those devils, I...I...Waaaaaaaah!"

She started to cry on his chest.

"Okay. Okay. I am done with woman crying because of me."

"Who is she?" Asked Vanilla. "She seems...Very close to him."

"Why don't you ask them?" Said Florencia.

    "N-No! I could never..."

"Yo, Johnny." Said Drake walking towards him.

Drake then deliver a heavy punch above his head leaving a huge bump.

    "Ouch! What was that for?!"

"Do you even need to ask? Going off without me knowing just to get caught by Raven? Don't try to tell you weren't after him by your own will."

"Well...I was, but it wasn't because of him."

"Oh really? Then what it was-"

    "I saw her."

    "....Huh?"

    "Her. I wanted to...See her."

    "You mean...That HER?"

    "Yeah."

"Okay. Now I am like 20 percent less angry."

"By the way how did you find us?"

"We were on track on where Raven's ship passed. Then we saw lights coming out of the sky and I followed my instincts."

"Should have thought about that." Said Florencia.

"By the way, can't you fly?" Asked West.

"Not gonna risk fly above an ocean I don't know where I am."

"By the way who are those?" Asked Drake to Johnnathan.

"Some people that I decided to bring. We have a Fairy and a Werewolf that can use magic." Said Johnnathan. "...And this not so important-looking fellow."

"Is that how you are gonna describe me?" Asked Edward.

"You do know how I feel about bringing new recruits. But we can discuss this later...And what about that other one there." Said Drake looking at Vanilla.

"Her? She is...tagging along for the time being." Said Johnnathan.

"Fine, fine. I don't have anything against that."

"By the way, where are we exactly?"

"In the Red Sea. Stormy Islands isn't too far away." Said Coela.

"Huh. No wonder last night seemed familiar." Said Johnnathan. "By the way Drake, I just found out something about that treasure we've been looking for."

Extra Chapter 1: Horses and Swords.
    Hidden:

This story takes place 30 years before the current events. One time at a stable in the surroundings outside of Dameon, capital of Drakland, a man dressed in a black uniform arrives. It was near the end of afternoon with the sun setting off in the plains.

He finds one of the workers in the place brushing one of the horses. A young redhead with a rather serious face, but with calm look in his eyes.

"Excuse me?" Said the man who just arrived. "Do you have any available for rental?"

"As long as you have the money." The horse carer said it without looking at the customer in the eyes.

"I see. Can I talk to the owner of this place? You see it's not a normal purchase."

"He is not here. Probably drunk somewhere in the city. I take care of the whole place in the night."

"So you are in charge now."

"But I can't just give a horse that easily."

"Who said I wanted a horse?"

"You....don't?" He turned over to look at the buyer.

"Allow me to introduce myself. Agent Howitz, Blitzreignian Intelligence. It's a pleasure to meet you, Red Demon."

"...Oh bloody hell. So even on the other side of the sea you hounds would hunt me."

"To be fair, if it wouldn't be us then it would be Drakland. Did you know that we are at war with vampires right now?"

"We always are at war with vampires."

"Yes, but it's not every year they decide to do an organized assault."

"So it's a Crusade. I get it. I didn't lived below a rock all this time."

"And would you kindly lend a hand. It would be helpful."

"There are other Hunters out there. I can give a few names."

"There is no hunter whose name reached as high as you."

"What do you know about me anyway?"

"Alex Highlander, first time killed a vampire was 5 years ago at age fifteen with nothing, but a worn out scythe. A month later, took down his first Higher vampire. A boy with unknown origin that would later be know as the Red Demon whose name would mean Death to a Vampire. Honestly, I am rather shocked to know you aren't a Hybrid."

"You should also have know I am done with this."

"So you wanna be a horse herd forever now? Even if there is such greater things awaiting for you?"

    "Yes, I do."

"Should I at least tell the details of the 'job'?"

"I guess it doesn't hurt to listen." Alex started to resume brushing the horse.

"Have you heard of a town called Gali?"

"Small town next to the Blitzreign's border in Ceranze, right? There is a nice cheese there."

"We suspect Vampires took control of it."

"....Right under Ceranze's and Blitzreign's radar?"

"We believe a rather strong force is involved. If nothing is done quickly then all of Ceranze might become a vampire nest. What are your thoughts about that?"

"I would give a month at most."

"Well then, would you leave all those poor human souls to die?"

    "...I don't know."

"I am not trying to force you or anything, but...I will let you have time to think of it. By the way, the payment would be around 10 whole years on this shack."

Agent Howitz leaves the stable and Alex silently watches it as he averts his look to a scythe lying around next to the hay.

    "...One. Last. Time."

Meanwhile at Gali, located at the northeast part of Ceranze, the streets were empty, almost like a ghost town. In one of the rooftops, a female vampire wearing a red hood was gazing at the night sky.

"The stars are beautiful. I wish Corvus could see them. But that's impossible."

"Ruby! Down here this instant!" Shouted another female vampire with a short white hair wearing a jet-black armor.

Ruby then leaped from the rooftop and landed perfectly on her feet.

"Yes, Lady Diamantia?" Asked Ruby. "Did something happened?"

    "Not at all."

    "Really? You seemed upset."

"Did I? All I wanted was to call your attention."

"Thank goodness then. As usual you have this tone of anger everytime you raise your voice.

"I-Is that so? Do you think Vladmir might hate me for this?"

"Hardly. He is way more intimidating even if he is talking normally. So what do you need me for it?"

"You see, it's time for us to take the capital. We decided to split our forces by putting half of the Red Swords here while anothe takes the capital."

"We are splitting our forces? That's kind of risky."

"Don't worry. With me and five of the swords, we are six. And I am taking more soldiers with me. And besides I decided to put you in charge of this place while I am gone."

"Huh?! I don't wanna brag milady, but wouldn't our chances rises if we attack Roche togeter?"

"At this point, Blitzreign will send their share towards here. We are already keeping them busy in the north, but what they lack in sheer strenght, they compensate in numbers. And besides you are the only one I can trust to take them on your own."

"If you think that much of me then I can't say no."

"You are too modest. And please, just call me Tia as we are used to."

"I couldn't. Here you are our Commander."

"Here we are all Warriors. Brethren linked by the thread of battle. We are equals as long as we stand and fight."

"Jeez, talking as if I am strong as you."

"Weeell...Wanna find out later on? You and me, sparing against each other with our bare hands? How about it? Don't go yellow after saying that." Diamanta gives a light punch on her shoulder.

"Heh. I do miss those sort stuff ever since Vanessa left. Buuut don't go cry when I break your spine like a twig." She gaves her another ounch in the arm and both of them giggles.

"I am leaving at midnight." Said Diamantia. "Make sure you don't lose an arm or a leg."

    "Same for you...Tia."

"By the way Ruby, is something goign on with you and Corvus?"

    "H-Huh? What's that all about?"

"I heard he has been...quite unusual around you."

"I-It's nothing. It's just that he is already unusual by nature. And I don't find him quite as scary as his father."

"I guess that's true. But allow me to correct on one thing."

    "What?"

"Vladmir is no way scarier than him. In fact, I would rather face a pack of a hundred Werewolves than him alone."

"Jeez! You say like he might become an enemy or something."

"That's not a possibility I am thinking of discarding."

"Now, now. He might be Topazia's son, but you are his stepmother. Don't say those things about your family."

"You should know that even vampires wouldn't trust so easily to their kin. Not everyone are like you and your brother."

"Drake..." She gets lost in thoughts for a moment. "But never fear. I'll keep an eye on him."

"...Sure. I wish more vampires were like you. As long as they keep the Warrior Path of course. Come find me later for a drink will ya?"

Diamanta then leaves waving her hand.

"The Warrior Path, huh? I suposse that's the ideal path for a filthy like me."

Ruby then gazes at the sky once more.

"I wish...One of those stars were you, Drake."

    Chapter 10: Legends.

    Hidden:

In the Vitoria, Johnnathan was alone in the deck looking into the horizon with the sun clearing the skies. Later on, Drake appeared silently walking towards him.

"Sooo....Yeah. That book is the real deal." Said Drake. "I guess you git yourself free from Aladdin's anger trantums this time."

"Oh shit. Now that you mentioned I didn't picked one of his peanuts."

"I also like those peanuts. Anyway what about...her? How did she looked like?"

    "Well, she..."

"Explain it in the way I understand."

    "...*sigh* Let's see...Eighty-Eight, Fifty-Two and Eighty-Four."

"Damn! That's a vampire for you. Nice catch, bro. Not bad at all."

"There hasn't been any sort of catch."

"That's not what I got from how you describe it what she did it when you two reunited. I'm just saying, but I guess she is into you."

"Did you forgot her brother is the most dangerous jackass in the world?"

"Details, details. Anyway, Aladdin wants to see you and your...pals."

"Remember me who is the Captain here again?"

"First-Mates are supossed to do this boring job, okay?"

A while later, the others were all reunited in the deck. Aladdin looked at them with giving a little more attention on Vanilla.

"What hell is going on here?" Said Alladin.

"Hey! I felt offended by that." Said Edward.

"What is she doing here?" Aladdin pointed at Vanilla.

"Ah! I am just here by passage." Said Vanilla.

"If that's the way let's drop you off in Gel. Change the couse now!"

    "H-Huh?! Why?!"

"Anything wrong? We are taking you home."

"I-I know! But why are you sounding like you know me or something like that?!"

"You are Vanilla Sundae, the only daughter of Frosty Sundae, a teacher at Gel Magic Academy, and her wife Mint Sundae. How do I know that? I was one of his three students that used to hanf out with him."

"Really?! Which one of them were you?!"

"...The one who wasn't a woman."

"Oh...Oh! I remember! The Desert Prince!"

"Desert Prince?" Said Edward. "You are royalty?"

"That's just a stupid nickname I got because I was from Sherazia."

"I also...Heard you were expelled." Said Vanilla.

"Nope. I left the place. Two different things."

"A-Anyway, I wish I could stay a little while longer."

    "No."

    "But-"

    "No."

"My father is missing and I need help to find him!"

    "...Is that so?"

    "Y-Yeah."

"...Very well then. Just don't expect this bunch of misfits to be of any help."

    "Got it!"

"By the way..." Aladdin looks at Vanilla into her eyes, staring at her very up-close. "If you somehow become a burden then I am taking you straight to Gel in my way. The Desert Prince Way."

"...You don't want that." Said Johnnathan.

"O-Okay. It will be nice to work with you."

"What more do you have Johnnathan?" Asked Aladdin.

"A werewolf that can do magic and a fairy." Said Johnnathan. "And this guy."

"Really? That's all I get?" Said Edward. "I am the one who had the book."

"So you are the thief, huh?" Said Aladdin.

    "No! Treasure Hunter!"

"Treasure that probably belonged to someone else."

On the other corner of the ship there was Nikolai and Shadewing looking at them.

"That human boy will be the first to drop out." Said Nikolai.

    "I agree." Replied Shadewing.

Later that day, the ship arrived at Stormy Islands. The crew went their way to Snake Eyes as usual with their newest allies. Vanilla walked alongside with anxiety.

"Relax girl." Said West. "Just walk closer to the scary-looking man and the less scary-looking men will not bother you."

"I don't find you so scary, Mr.Terry." Said Vanilla.

"Say this after I bare my fangs."

They soon arrive at the Snake's Eyes and talk to Chemira in the balcony.

"Oh! Johnny! You are still alive and kicking it!" Said Chemira.

"Do you really think I am that easy to die?"

"Against Raven? Maybe. And did you brought some new recruits while you were away? Because that's quite the number considering it is you guys. It has been like 10 years since Drake got a new member."

"They are more under me than Drake."

"Do you have a room available, Chemira?" Said Aladdin. "We need to discuss in closed doors."

"Sure. It's not every time anyone uses them anyway."

"Did she said her name was...Chemira?" Asked Vanilla.

"Huh? Who is this young lady?"

    "It's Frosty's daughter." Said Aladdin.

"Oh? Oh! Oh my gosh! Look how tall she grew! Wait...What is she doing here?!"

"Apparently Frosty gone missing and she is basically looking for him."

    "Frosty is missing?"

"And by advance I was thinking if you could use your 'network" to help look after him. I mean, we are not part of GMA anymore, but-"

"I know, Al. That concerns me on a personal level as well. By the way, do you people want a drink?"

    "Sure. The usual." Said Drake.

    "And what about the rest?"

"A Ginger Beer, please." Said Edward.

    "Herbal Tea?" Said Florencia.

    "Coffee." Said West.

"If you don't mind, I want a Strawberry Juice." Said Vanilla.

"Right away!" She notes the orders and goes to the kitchen.

"This place has a lot of variety." Said West.

"It's not only information her network gives her." Said Drake.

Later on Drake, Johnnathan and Aladdin were discussing on the room upstairs with Edward's book in hands.

"I don't need to reminds you two of how long we have been looking for this stupid treasure and now after a decade we finally have a clue." Said Aladdin. "I hope it's everything you guys wanted."

"Yeah. And you saying that it was just some dead man story." Said Drake.

"I said the Treasure of Red Beard was a fluke, and being honest I still believe to be the case, but the Ancient's Legacy is something that happens to cross our goals somehow. It's the only reason I am sticking around with you guys anyway."

"Oh we love you too, Al." Said Johnnathan.

"Now, as I expected it wasn't so easy to look through every single information in this book. It seems there is more than difficult language in those pages. But there was a part of it that was awfully easy to translate. The Location of the Fire Key."

    "And where is it?"

"In the Lost Kingdom of Ra."

"Didn't that place got buried in sand like five hundred years ago?"

"That's why it's called Lost Kingdom, smartass."

    "Okay...What do we do now?"

"Fortunately I know how to get in there."

"Since when do you know how to do that?" Said Drake.

"That's irrelevant. I'll look for supplies while you two get things ready."

"Why are we even here anyway?"

"It would be for the best that the less people knowing about this the best. Now that a certain someone decided to annoy the most dangerous douchebag out there I having trouble to imagine how I will sleep from now on."

"Hey! I got the book didn't I?!" Said Johnnathan.

    "And didn't picked my peanuts."

Meanwhile downstairs, Chemira brought the drinks the others ordered alongside a plate of pork ribs.

"There you go. Also a special meal from Drake. Eat it up!"

"Ooooh. It smells great." Said West who was salivating excessively.

"Can you bring something more...natural?" Said Florencia.

    "But animals are natural."

"Just give me something that isn't meat."

Meanwhile Vanilla was drinking her juice looking around with anxiety.

"Is something the matter, sweetie?" Asked Chemira.

"It's nothing, just...I wouldn't expect one of the names that I and many others looked up is running a place like this." Said Vanilla.

"Hm? Is she a big deal or something?" Said Edward.

"Sure she is! Haven't you heard of Viper of the Three Miracles?"

"The Three Miracles? You mean THOSE Miracles? The ones who were know as Humanity's biggest hope?"

"Heh. What a stupid epithet." Said Chemira.

"How could you say that?" Said Vanilla. "You were one of the best spellcasters in the best generation. You and Aladdin could had saved the world with Professor Salomeh."

"You honestly believe that only three people could end the vampires?" Said Chemira. "Whatever praise you and your fellows have with me is exaggeration."

"Hold on. Was Mr. Aladdin also one of the Miracles?" Said Edward.

    "Pretty much."

"Two out of the Three Miracles are now linked to piracy. How low the high fell." Said Florencia. "No offense."

"But....Why?" Asked Vanilla in a sad tone.

"You see, dear. There are three kind of people that GMA raises." Said Chemira. "The first one are those who goes there all for the sake of knowledge and experience, like me. The second ones are those who aspires to be well known Spellcasters and guide future generations, just like how Sal was."

    "Sal?"

"It's how we called Salomeh back in the day."

    "Oh."

"And finally there is the third kind of people. The ones who are either forgotten or left behind by the academy....That is Al."

"So coincidentally, the Three Miracles are like all those three specific kind of people?" Asked Florencia.

    "The best of each kind."

"So if I understand correctly you went to GMA to be a Spellcaster, but you always wanted to be here?" Asked Vanilla.

"I was raised in this kind of place, but had the talent for magic. I am merely using what I learned to make my life easier."

    "How so?"

"See that there is like no other than myself working here?"

"Huh. Just realized that until now." Said Nikolai.

"There is a faint mist around the air of some tables that causes a ilusion of me. There I take note of their orders thanks to a link I have with those mirages."

"So how do we know you aren't an ilussion right now?"

Chemira responded by slapping his backhead.

    "Ouch! Okay then."

"You are using some sort of poison, right?" Asked Vanilla. "Isn't a bit harmful?"

"It's not very strong. And besides they are pirates, so who gives a shit, am I right?"

"We love you too, Chemira." Said Nikolai.

Aladdin with Drake arrived a little while later.

"Hey there guys." Said Drake. "I believe it is being fun here, but we need to get going."

"Alright, but where is Johnny?" Asked Edward.

"He is coming along. I need him to look after a few things here. Meanwhile we have to get some ship parts in another location."

"Where are we going from here on anyway?" Asked Florencia.

"To the Steel Continent." Said Aladdin. "I'll tell the details on the way. And Chemira..."

    "Yeah?"

    "Don't forget about Frosty, okay?"

"You don't need to tell me twice." She then adress to Vanilla. "I'll do everything in my power to help find him. I promise."

She pats Vanilla's head with an bright smile.

    "T-Thank you very much!"

After a while, they had left the tavern and Johnnathan appeared. He sitted on the counter and Chemira noticed him.

"Ah. There you are. What took you so long?" Asked her.

"I was lost in thoughts for a while."

"That's unusual for you. Did something happened?"

"Yeah. In fact, can you give me one of those?"

"Oh. Right away. Bitter or Sweet?"

    "Bittersweet."

    "That's a first."

She picked up a bottle with a red drink and gave it to him.

    "It's expensive."

"Will 5 pieces of gold cover it?"

    "Sure."

He hands her over a five golden tablets to her and she gives him the whole bottle that he starts to drink on a chalice.

"....Yeah, the taste is bittersweet alright. What is this one's story?"

    "Female. Eighteen Year old. Nova."

    "Young."

"A daughter of a middle-class noble. Sent to an arranged marriage."

    "Typical."

"Have you ever wondered how the ones who you drink those blood are?"

"I have my own worries to take care of. If some woman wants to bleed herself to easy her worries that's not my problem."

"Aren't you so kind? By the way, did something happened?"

    "...I saw her."

"Huh....Huh?! Y-You mean her?!" She asked very enthusiasmatic. "How did she looked like?! Tell me eveything!"

"...Like I always wished she would look like ten years later."

"Ohohoho. So the Red Beast actually has feelings. But...What next? It does not needs to be a genius to know it will not be easy to take it away one of Raven's sister."

"I made up my mind, Chemira. One way or the other...I'll be with her somehow"

"Hmmmm....You know, most pirates wouldn't be attached to stuff like this, but of course you aren't like most of them."

"Anyway, that's enough about me. Shall we take that?"

"Well, about time." Chemira guides Johnnathan through a trap door in the kitchen that lead to a basement of some kind. There, a steel barrel that was heavily locked was standing right in the middle of the room. "There are a lot of illicit stuff down here, but that is one thing I rather not have it. Only you guys have interest on that."

"Darkanium." Johnnathan then approached the barrel. "You may not be able to sense it, but...I can feel the pulse of darkness coming out of it."

He then picked the barrel by a handle and lifted, carrying it behind him.

"So what are you gonna do in the Steel Continent?"

    "Dig up a whole kingdom."

Johnnathan left Snake'Eyes carrying the barrel with only one hand behind his back with Chemira following him to outside.

    "Well thanks for everything, Viper."

"As long as you can pay, I am at service. And Johnny..."

    "Yeah?"

"That girl, Vanilla...Please be nice to her, will you?"

"Alright, alright. I am not a monster."

"I'm serious. If you make her cry, I'll fill your throat with hot acid."

    "...Okay. Seems fair."

In the Vitoria, West was having an easy time carrying barrels and boxes to the cargo of the ship.

"That's about done. Anything else?" Said West to Drake.

    "That's okay. Good job rookie."

    "Whatever."

He then leaves the scene and Aladdin appears.

"You know, it was about time we found a heavy-lifter." Said Aladdin.

"Hybrids don't need those sort of people."

"That one has show a lot of stamina and strenght. And he is not even in Wolf form. He is no ordinary werewolf."

"Hey guys." Said Johnnathan who appeared with the Darkanium. "I brought the stuff."

"You took your time. Did you done something on the way?" Asked Drake.

    "Not important, Drake."

"Should we set sail?" Asked Aladdin. "There is an awful storm coming here from the east."

"Well, better we go away before it catches to us."

Meanwhile in an island under construction between Blitzreign and Drakland, two massive warships, one from each nation, are closing to each other.

Inside the ship from Blitzreign, there was a empty room with mirrors in the walls. There a woman wearing a white military uniform with a long blond hair tied on a ponytail wielding a spear with a chalice of wine standing still in the blade.

Then she starts to wave the spear, juggling the chalice around not letting a single drop of wine to fall.

She then flawless catches the chalice with her open palm. She then takes a sip of the wine.

"...Bitter and Sweet." Said the woman with a stoic face.

"General Howitz!" Shouted a man with a long messy hair wearing dark shades and a black military uniform appears. "Uuuuh...Am I interrupting something?"

"Out on it, Colonel." Said the general.

"I-It's General Walther and Captain Shepherd. They arrived for the meeting."

"Is it time, huh? Very well."

The two of them walks to the deck. There General Walther was alongside a woman dressed like him with a short red hair.

"General Hildr Howitz." Said Walther who took of his hat and bowed to her. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Same to you Walther." Said Hildr. "I wasn't expecting the Captain of the Werewolf Squad to be here as well."

"Is it that weird? Nowadays you can't be too much careless. There might be a rogue nearby and you wouldnt know it."

"Personally, me here is more than enough."

The two of them looks at the island nearby them. It was Zaratraz.

"They made quite a mess here, didn't them?" Said Walther.

"It has been ten years. So much was lost....So much I lost." Said Hildr."I heard you suffered quite a blow from Raven recently."

"A few flesh wounds there and there, but not somethignwe couldn't recover. But I can't shake the feeling it was all a playtime for him."

"If we have to beat him, then both of Blitzreign and Drakland must join forces...At the very least."

"So we're doing the Four Commander System, right?"

"Indeed. Did you thought of anyone?"

    "I brought Hadol."

"H-Hi." Said Hadol who was nervously waving his hand.

"I was thinking you that maybe...juuuuust maybe Salomeh couldn't make it."

"That was the intent, but she refused the offer. It seems she isn't very supportive of the empire."

"I'm actually surprised the Empire didn't became more persuasive."

"Gel might be part of the Empire, but the academy has a lot of influence and power by itself."

"To be honest, I am...just filling an empty seat here." Said Hadol.

"Did Drakland sent another representative?" Asked Hildr.

"Yes. In fact...All of the 4 Commanders are right here, right now." Said Walther.

"What?" Said Hildr as she looked at Shepherd. "A-Are you seriously about this?"

    "Is something the matter?"

"Look. Maybe Drakland is used to fight alongside your wolves, but there is now way Blitzreign will agree with this!"

"Really? You two fight among lions don't you?"

"Lions that are easier to tame than those mutts!"

"G-General, you might choose well your words. I have the faintest feeling Captain Shepherd might react in a way we do not want." Said Hadol as they look at Shepherd's eyes slowly turning like a wolf.

"...Very well. But I am not responsible for any sort of backfire this decision might trigger."

"Well this went easier than I expected." Said Walther. "Now should we set to Izumo?"

"You will be riding with us? On this ship?"

"I can't be helped. One ship is more than enough. We need to save our resources."

"Tch! Very well. Just don't disturb me in my private time."

She leaves the deck to her quarters.

"S-Sorry about the General!" Said Hadol who followed Hildr .

"I am sorry you had to witness this." Said Walther.

"That's alright. It's not like she wanted to go as far to make me bare my fangs at her." Said Shepherd.

"The Valkyrie of Blitzreign is like the empire itself. It will not leave it's pride even if means to accept it's own demise."

"Not different from vampires. And yet they were the ones who changed from one day to the other."

    "Anyway, you seemed awfully silent."

"I am still mourning to the loss of my fellow werewolves that day in Liampool. I am thankful for the Kingdom to gave us a chance, but...This is just too much."

"The Omega Squad's demise will not be in vain. Even if it's not us we will get our revenge on the Rogues."

On a island far south from the Stormy Islands, there was a single lonely island in the Red Sea that had nothing, but a villa on it. It was Drake's Hideout. The Vitoria had just arrived at the place after sailing thorugh violent waters. In the deck, Edward was looking at the sea holding the necklace he had in his neck.

"Hey, rookie." Said Nikolai who surprised him.

    "Oh. Hey there...Uuuh..."

"Nikolai. You should get memorized by now. Anyway I just wanted to know what is this thing you have with you? I never seen anything like it. All I can tell it is some sort of metal."

"Oh. This? It's a lucky charm of sorts. When I am feeling anxious of afraid it calms me down."

    "Uh-huuu....So it's junk."

"Hey! My sister gave it to me for my safety!"

"I'm a man of science, kid. All this talk about luck and fate is garbage to me. How about you be useful for once and help unload the cargo. Not that I am expecting you to do a good job or anything."

    "Are you always like this?"

"Yeah. Get used to it. You are still here? Fuck off!"

    "Huh. How thoughtful."

At the beach, West had just easily unloaded a few boxes into the sand. He then started to talk with Shadewing who was watching him."

    "Hey...Bird person."

"That's an inapropriated word, but I'll let you pass for now. What is it?"

"I never seen an Acquila before. Are you a Bordman that is like always Bird or you change to Man?"

    "Nope. Only bird."

    "But...You are still considered a Demi-Human, right?"

"Yes. Just like Werewolves, Merfolk and many others."

"Then why don't humans hates you?"

"Well...if you were a human would you fear a bird far away in the sky or a wolf that can chase you?"

"Give me a break. I seen many birds at the size of a human adult."

"But you can't forget human have small thoughts."

"Good thing I have the ability to shapeshift. Me and my kin would still be living in the woods...Not that it would be better than the slums."

"I heard stories of another tribe of shapeshifting demi-humans in the forests of Aurakarias."

    "Really?"

"Yes. They are know as the Fang Tribe."

"...Huh. For some reason that name twitches me in the wrong way."

Meanwhile, Johnnathan was talking to Drake while Vanilla was silently looking at a far distance behind a barrel.

"You should quit it." Said Coela who sneaked from behind and frightned her.

"Eeek! Don't scare me like that. And what do you mean by quitting?"

"Right now you were looking at him the same way I did it when he first arrived here."

    "Huh? You mean...You.."

"Yes. But right now I already accepted that here is no way it's gonna happen. And I believe you know him well enough to know why."

"I know, it just...I wanna see it for myself just how much he feels about her."

"Don't have like a father look after it?"

"It's better than look around the world around aimless, right?"

"So tell me Drake?" Asked Johnnathan to Drake. "Why exactly are we here?"

"We need to take another vessel." Said Drake.

"What's wrong with the Vitoria? And what another vessel?"

    "Coela. If you may."

"Aye aye!" Said Coela when she rose her arm and a giant bubble came from the sea bringing out a whole ship similar to the Vitoria, but painted red.

    "Johnnathan. Meet Gloria. Gloria, Johnnathan."

"...Hi Gloria." Said Johnnathan waving his hand at the ship. "So really, what is wrong with Vitoria?"

"Vitoria is MY ship. This...Is yours now."

    "...I'm not following it."

"What I am trying to say is...You are now the captain of your own ship."

    "Well now that makes sen-WHAT?!"
