Haha yeah, guess I should've expanded on that.

Anyway, Brian Cranston was amazing (not that I expect any less from him), the humor was spot-on, and the animation was fantastic, making the dogs look genuinely furry and really bringing Japan to life.

    Spoiler:
I think as long as I don't have to watch a dog die I'll be okay. As much as I hate it animals do die. Circle of life and all that. But watching a dog dying ruins the entire movie for me, no matter how good the rest is.
Alright, yeah, then you'll probably be okay.

Okay, out of assurance for myself I went and read the summary on Wikipedia. While the twist was ruined for me, I don't think I'll enjoy it any less and can confirm that I'll be seeing it.

Ren and Stimpy creator turns out to be a sexual predator. Especially towards younger girls.

This has actually been an open animation industry secret for some time. So... I'm not at all surprised.

John K. was always a toxic personality (I've read he referred to Andrea Romano as "the office W****") that developed a cult like following thanks to how important Ren & Stimpy was in improving tv animation (and the fact that people are so quick to defend the artist). I remember the crap he and his followers were spreading on the animation blogsphere about a decade ago.

I hope for the best for Rice and Byrd, who had their dreams turned into nightmares.

Given it's Ren and Stimpy . . . . we probably should have predicted it.

Now to hit that middle path of learning enough about the movie to stay hyped without spoiling anything.

Whelp, I have enough information now to go see it. "It finally exists".

I think I can stay infoless from here.

    ...for another year. Sigh.

Going from a numbered sequel to a subtitle for what might be the last film is just weird.

There's a stigma against part 3's. In that they mostly aren't good. So wanna avoid that, naming conventions be damned. Shrek 3 killed that franchise (even though 4 and Puss came out after), Kung Fu Panda 3 wasn't well recieved, and so on. And that's just within their studio. Add in things like Godfather or Spiderman and well...

A part 2 says sequel to the thing you liked. A part 3 says "that many, really?"

The subtitle also makes it easier to do direct to dvd movies, and tv shows. ANd considering the dragon show is on like season 74 that might be the way to go.

She-Ra is joy, but is it me or does that pic make her look a little . . . . . squat?
